When he got on board he then went to sick bay. When he arrived at sickbay he sat on a bio bed and waited for the doctor to come out and so he sat there waited. While he was he knew that being the chief of operations was going to be fun. He knows a lot of things.

Lt. Warren

OCC: Hello. I am so sorry it took this long for me to catch up on this. I am going to start this but Tyra is the CMO so when she is back from her LOA I will let her take over. ~ Kate

IC:

“Hello, can I help you,” Chloe came up to the biobed seeing the lieutenant come in. The officer didn’t look sick but she needed to check him in at the very least.

Chloe Harland nurse

“Hello nurse. I’m just here for my checkin before I go on official duty. I just thought it would be the best if I did.” Lt. Warren then said to the nurse. “You know it’s always the best way to do it anyways right.” He then concluded his statement.

Lt. Warren

“Yes, it is,” Chloe said standing up and moving slowly around the table she was sitting at. It was obvious that she was not only pregnant but pregnant enough to be close to her delivery date. “Welcome to the Outpost,” Chloe welcomed the new officer. “Come on. Let’s get you checked in. You are Lt. Warren correct,” she asked indicating for the young officer to take the bed she motioned towards.

Chloe Harland Nurse.

“Yes ma’am I am. Thank you for coming to this check in. I’ve always known that it’s best doing that. And thank you for welcoming me. I feel honored on joining.” He said then. Sat on one of the bio beds. He was smiling and was confused. And noticed that she was pregnant. “Ma’am. I’m not judging or anything. But I wanted to congratulate you for the incoming baby. Yes I’ve noticed that you are pregnant.” He said.

Lt. Warren

“Thank you,” she let out a laugh. “This is my fourth.” Chloe paused taking a deep breath. It still sounded weird to say that after Maddie’s death last year. Lt. Warren would find out eventually. The Outpost was too small for information about a staff to go unnoticed or unlearned. Setting the device down on the bed Chloe looked at Lt. Warren with a soft smile.

“Thank you for the congratulations. Most people only get it when they have their first. It’s all baby showers and balloons but then the second kid or third kid comes along and people are like dude how many do you have now,” she laughed. “We did not find out the sex because we have one of each already. We decided to go with a surprise on this one. Are you from a big family,” she pulled out the tricorder to scan Warren.

Chloe Harland

“Of course doctor. I’m someone who is willing to congratulate someone when it comes around with babies. I’m a baby person. I’m the only child in my family. If I had other siblings in my family I would’ve heard about it but my parents died before thinking about having another child. What I mean doctor is that I come from a small family.” He then started to explain. When the doctor finally realized that Chloe lost someone that she cared about last year and he didn’t want to ask about the loss of someone.

Lt. Warren

“I’m sorry to hear that,” she laid a hand on his arm. “Losing family is…is there a word really for it.” She looked at him with complete honesty and sincerity. For some reason, she felt closer to him. Maybe it was the silent solidarity one had with others that endured a similar tragedy. “Who did you grow up with?” Chloe wasn’t sure if the lieutenant wanted to talk about it but if he did, she would listen.

Chloe Harland

“Well. Honestly no one. I was actually on my own for most of my life so I was more independent on my own then ever. After losing my family, I was on my own and lived where I lived at on my own and stayed there till I was at the age for the academy.” He frowns down at her and cries a little bit. He then kind of realized that chloe was really close to him and it made him very comfortable.

Lt. Warren

Chloe put her hand on his back and rubbed it gently. It was instinctive being a mother and even though the Lt. before her was a man and an officer it didn’t mean that sometimes what a person needed was not a tricorder but some chicken soup for the soul. “Life is hard and I am not being snarky however there is one thing you have that others don’t,” she paused long enough for effect, “you had the courage to seek your dreams.”

Ensign Chloe Harland

Paige watched the nurse for a moment and stepped up “Is there anything you need me for?” She asked “Commander Paige Stone, Chief Medical Officer.” She said extending her hadn’t to the Lt.

CMO

Warren then takes the doctors hand and introduces himself. “Lt. Bernie Warren commander chief of Operations.” As he smiled. “Ensign. I have the courage to seek my dreams is one thing that I’ve always had in my life. Yes. Life maybe hard but as we all say having a hard life is one thing but having a easy life is another.” Warren said to the ensign.

Lt. Warren

“I don’t know,” Chloe laughed. “Part of me loves the easy button.” Turning to Dr. Stone she handed the doctor the chart. “I just brought up the Lt.’s information on the chart and started checking him in. If you need me I will be restocking the storage cabinet.” Before she walked away, Chloe looed back at Warren. “Nice to meet you Lt.”

Ensign Chloe Harland

Bump

“Nice to meet you too ensign. Could I talk to you before I leave if that is possible?” He asked the young ensign as he sat there looking st the doctor. He smiles cause he feels some sort of connection with her but doesnt seem right at the same time. But he wants to know her more.

Lt. Warren

“Sure just come get me when Dr. Stone gives you the all clear,” Chloe said moving away from the medical table and across the room to begin organizing and arranging the supplies in Sick bay.

Chloe Harland nurse

Paige smiled “She’s a great nurse.” She picked up the PaDD “Is there anything not listed in your medical file that I need to know about?” She asked looking up at Lt. Warren.

CMO

Warren smiled back “yes she is and she does an amazing job.” As he looked at her back, “not at this point doc. But I’ll come in if there is anything else.” As he stood up from the bed.
