Toveka spoke up from the door, her curiosity getting the better of her normally quiet demeanor. “We ask because it will give us a better timeline of when you came from.” She was hoping the Subcommander would be a bit more forward if the questions didn’t seem so antagonistic.

Jessica looked at Tenkiller and then Mathias. They needed more answers than questions right now. She hoped the subcommander would trust them enough so that they might be able to open up about the contents in the cargo hold.

Lt Commander Teller XO

Tenkiller leaned against the wall and looked at the Subcommander and her aide. If they didn’t start talking, maybe they were a problem like their unwelcome guests.

Baldur joined the Security Chief. Crossing his arms as he watched the Romulans with sympathetic eyes, they seemed to have just gone from a bad time for Romulans and landed at the worst.

With the others all but glaring at the Subcommander, she shook her head and tried to be sympathetic. “I know you feel attacked and that being out of time can be disconcerting.” She nodded to Tesla who was not only out of time, but out of space as well. “We are certainly not trying to attack you. Many of us have dealt with, or know people, who have dealt with time issues. Finding out where and when you came from sometimes can help you get back, as well as help us establish things here in the presence. For example… had you been on Romulus at the time when the planet was becoming unstable, you could help us understand if it was solar, spacial or internal reasons for the…” she paused a moment bite down her memories of pain and loss, “the event that occurred. Different times from your perspective give us a view we cannot have otherwise.”

She knew it was a long shot, but someone had to get through. They needed to know if whoever was attacking them was there because of the Subcommander, the artifacts, or both. And had their attackers followed them, sent them here or merely been pulled when things happened?

Jessica felt a tension headache growing behind her left eye. She resisted the urge to rub it but made a mental note to get something in Sick bay for it later. “The science chief is correct,” Jessica started going for broke. The subcommander was in charge because they were smart and knew how to deal with a situation. Maybe they also needed some motivation to help. “Our top priority will be to get you and your crew back to your correct time line however that point is going to be moot if we all get our butts kicked by whatever attacked your ship and our station. The Romulan Star Empire and the Federation aren’t best buddies but we did work hand in hand during the Dominion war to defeat an enemy. That is what we are asking for your help right now. To defeat whatever the heck is attacking us or figure out why it is attacking us. If you choose to be silent about anything you know that is your choice. We are not resulting to thumbscrews and waterboarding to get any information. It is completely your choice if you want to cooperate or not but what I can tell you is that whoever bloodied our noses and yours in the most recent fight will be back. You have no ship and no means to protect yourself. If they attack this station we will defend you and your crew like we are any other being but would you rather be proactive in helping us or passive?” Jessica paused a second to let her words sink in. Maybe she sounded defensive and angry but that was how she felt. No one liked the idea of feeling helpless and until they figured out what was going on, that was pretty much as they were. Taking a physical seat at the table hoping it would show that the officers in the room wanted to collaborate instead of interrogating, she looked at the subcommander.

“You did not get into your command position being dumb or naive which means you will see what I said as facts and not threats. Now is there anything you can tell us that will help us understand the situation better?”

Teller XO

Tenkiller nodded once in appreciation. Finally. Somebody’s getting their dander up. he thought to himself.

Toveka sighed silently. Why was it that simple questions could get so tangled up. In that moment, the half Romulan desperately wished to be all Betazoid. To be able to gleen at least a little off the Subcommander’s mind would have been more helpful than what was currently happening.

“Well for one, I am extremely confused as to why you are speaking of an anomaly concerning Romulan, although I’m guessing that is the reason why we could not contact High Command there. As for the timing of the thing, it was only a few of your human years after the coup incident, nothing notable besides that had happened in recent history. I am unsure as to how that can help, but other than giving my crew weapons and throwing us at this mysterious enemy, I’m not too sure how I can assist.”

Mr. Snuggles (GM)

Baldur took a step forward, eyeing the Romulans for a moment before turning his gaze to the first officer “We still only have parts of the puzzle at our disposal, I don’t recommend standing in one location for too long, we have several of the items in hand but I suspect there are more” He said in a quiet voice, trying to make sure even Romulan hearing couldn’t pick it up beyond the deep buzz his voice gave.

Tenkiller looked at him and nodded. “Last status report was the boarders had been driven back towards the docking area.” and he looked at Teller. “Think anybody told ‘em their ride is gone, Commander?”

Tenkiller, CoS

Toveka frowned. “Wait… you were trying to contact the High Command since arriving here?” She wasn’t sure she had understood them right. Didn’t they know the entire planet was gone?
