Tenkiller looked at him and nodded. “Last status report was the boarders had been driven back towards the docking area.” and he looked at Teller. “Think anybody told ‘em their ride is gone, Commander?”

Tenkiller, CoS

“I’m more worried about when they realize their ride is gone. Nothing is more dangerous than a cornered enemy.”

Jessica stopped for a minute and changed her perspective. If she was trapped and no ship what would she do. “Captain,” Jessica said looking at Mathias. “Permission to move the Lancer away from the outpost?” With the ship docked it would be the first play she made to get a ride home. If it wasn’t attached to the outpost it would have more maneuverability.

She looked at Tenkiller to see what he thought and if he was thinking along the same lines.

Jessica Teller. XO

The thought hadn’t occurred to Mathias, but she brought up a good point. The last thing they’d want is for their most powerful weapons to fall into the wrong hands. “Granted. Let’s not have our own battle cruiser be used against us.”

Jessica moved out of the room to make the call. It was not like it needed to be private but right now her sole focus was the Outpost crew and their safety. Tapping her comm badge she relayed the order sending Officer Leroy Jenkins out with the Lancer to patrol the area. If anyone would sound the alarm and rush right it, it would be good ol’ Leroy Jenkins which is exactly what Jessica and Mathais might need. Pausing for a second she tapped her comm badge placing another call.

“Hey babe, I think you should move Cera and the kids to the Sabre. Just a precaution.” Jessica did not need to add that if things went any more south than they had this morning, having the Sabre’s firepower added to the Lancer’s would not be a bad thing.

“Kind of ahead of you babe.” Aedan said, as he sat at the helm of the Sabre with Cera on his lap as she kept trying to hit the buttons as he had to push her hands away . “No… no not that button Aedan said aloud.”

“Babe, not the best time, getting out to safe distance and…” the barking began to be heard from the side as Aedan looked over at the large dog sitting in the seat next to him for navigation. “Good Ollie, you plot me a course....” Aedan said as the rest of his team began taking their seats.

“I gotta go…” Aedan said as Cera began to try to leave from his lap as he began to pull her back in an almost fruitless fashion. “No!”

“I have to go. I will contact you when I can. Love you.”

Jessica turned and headed back into the room waiting to see if she missed anything or if the room had found out anything new.

Toveka frowned. “Wait… you were trying to contact the High Command since arriving here?” She wasn’t sure she had understood them right. Didn’t they know the entire planet was gone?

((I hear you, but I think the sound guy went on break.))

OOC: Sorry for the delay, anyways, to explain what they are saying, these Romulans were displaced by time from after Nemesis, but before the destruction of Romulus.

While finding out what the story with the time-traveling Romulans was intriguing, Mathias had a feeling it was more of a distraction than anything. It was time to give his team direction, so he spoke not addressing any one of them in particular. “Commander Bragason is right. We need to focus on the fragments of the tablet and not just mill around here. Either we need to assemble them together or destroy them all. We can’t very well do either if we don’t have all the parts. Let’s find them, get them together, and then we’ll figure it out from there.”

IC: Tenkiller shrugged and said “Welp… at least it’s a plan.” He looked at the Romulan Subcommander and said “Listen, Ma’am. We got a lot goin’ on, and you have a lot more to process than you know. We can tell it to ya diplomatically, takin’ way too much time in doing so; or I can just give it to you straight and you can try to process as we go. But right now, we’re up to our a##es in alligators and we can either help you as you help us or I can put you somewhere safe and we’ll get to you when we can. Your call, Ma’am.” and he looked at her for her answer.

Tenkiller, CoS

Jessica had no issue with the COS but did struggle to not let out a half chuckle at his metaphor. The man was brilliant at his job and had a way to breaking things down to a level people understood instantly. He was one of the most diplomatic and sensitive men, she knew....until someone pushed him to not be that way. When he wasn’t diplomatic, it was because lives were on the line and Tenkiller valued that over all else.

Turning to Toveka she addressed the science chief. “In the meantime, science has biocontainment units right? We can have everyone bring them down there and if needed destroy them there. It is where things go boom most often after engineering.” This was not a cut on the chief’s skills. Science was about discovery and not all of it quiet. She remembered the time the 3rd-grade class made volcano’s in one of the labs and the whole room had to be fire suppressed. She also remembered the explosive goo that Duncan found that reacted to sound before exploding and multiplying. Science was definitely not a quiet place.

Baldur nodded at the Security Chiefs words, he disliked the idea of destroying something without understanding what it was for but it was a sometimes neccecary evil.

SOO - Baldur

Toveka nodded in agreement as well. “We have the containment areas. We have the intruders in one area. We can beam them to the brig and use the containment fields for the objects.” Glancing at the Subcommander as Tenkiller gave the ultimatum, she realized the Security Chief was right. Now wasn’t the time for Romulan coddled diplomacy. If the Romulan didn’t respond in the next minute, the Science Chief was of a mind to tell them how it was going to be and let Ten and the others get on with it.
