It was the dead of night, at least as Station’s time went. Wade was not asleep. Sleep was something that he rarely got more than a few hours of on any given night. Instead he found himself in the main gym. His body was slicked with sweat as he worked the heavy bag. Though had yet to realize it, he was working the bag in time with the Rhythm of the driving hardcore rock that he had playing on the overhead speakers. It was a decently high volume, but it should not have been disturbing anyone at this hour. There were no officers on duty in the nearby areas, and it was separated from the residential areas enough the sound should have carried. His fists were wrapped to protect them as he fired punches at the bag. Wade had learned many different arts over the years but still fell back to boxing as his first choice. Wade continued his workout, though his mind was elsewhere. Jab, Jab, Cross, Hook, Jab....and other variations of the sort.

It was the middle of the night, and for over three hours Ervon had been unable to sleep. Tossing and turning in his bed, Ensign Maax made the decision to get out of bed and tire himself out through working out in the station’s gym. Stepping out of his bedroom and into his living room the young, blue-eyed trill officer entered the living room to his quarters wearing a loosely fitted pair of pants and a skin right lycra top. Heading through the main doors of his quarters he turned left and on to a long curved corridor were he travelled along until arriving at the first turbo lift he could see. Arriving at the turbo lift the talk male yeoman came to an abrupt halt and called for a cart where he entered and instructed the computer on where he wished to be taken. =/\= computer officers gymnasium =/\= with a moment’s notice the cart activated and begin its decent into a different level.

It had taken roughly a few minutes for the cart to arrive at the required level and when it had Ervon hopped out and begin his trek down the long corridor. Having travelled roughly 15 meters along the corridor Maax arrived at his desired location turning left he entered a large set of doors and into the gymnasium. Entering the room Ervon peered around to look for any colleagues that may have been working out in the gym at that time. Noticing that the outposts strategic operations officer was in the room he came to an abrupt halt and spoke. “Commander, may I join you,” he asked whilst in the position of attention.

Wade looked the Ensign over and smiled around the mouth piece. “As you were, relax kid. and plenty of room in here for two, though unless you plan to replace the bag, not sure how you would join me…Or did you want to spar or something?”

The Ensign stood and pondered to the commander’s reply for several seconds before coming to a final decision that he delivered in a typical human expression something that was rare and unforeseen by the Trill officer. “Allow me to relieve the punching bag of its duties and assume them,” the Trill said with a giggle making his way over to what appeared to be a makeshift boxing ring made up of cargo boxes from the cargo bay and a series of ropes used to secure the sides. Standing in the centre of the makeshift ring the young ensign turned and addressed the commander “So Commander how about a sparring match” he said picking up a pair of gloves and a mouth guard that he had ordered from a replicator.
