Before Baldur could argue, Toveka stepped forward. Her hackles were up once more. “FINE! Stop… both of you.” She looked from Baldur to Tenkiller. “We’ll take it to the Armory. Just go do what you need to do.” She took a deep breath. “The part we can’t. I’ll take it to the Armory right now. How’s that? And Baldur can take me.” She stepped up beside him and glared at Tenkiller. “That sufficient?”

CSO

Tenkiller shook his head and said “Nope.” and tapped his comm badge. =/\= Tenkiller to Transporter. Site to site transport, CSO, SOO, myself to Armory. Energize priority one. =/\= and a voice responded =/\= Confirm. Transport in three… two… =/\=

Tenkiller, CoS

Baldur growled a deep sound of annoyance as they transported. he took a step forward and looked down at the Security Chief “You are a damned fool commander” His deep voice reverberating throughout the room “If you can’t trust your crewmates then you are less than qualified for this job” He instantly regretted his words, not the meaning but the fact that he allowed himself to say it “If I was on that team tracing this thing” He pointed at the canister with the real thing “I would trace where it was, from sickbay to the labs to here accessing the transporter logs, not a difficult thing mind you” Although he spoke with a firm tone he did not raise his voice “You had bait and no traceable way of knowing where it was in reality and now there’s a trace.” He shook his head “You gung ho types always jump the gun, just go deal with those intruders” He said walking away from the Security Chief.

SOO - Baldur

Toveka frowned. She didn’t exactly disagree with the SOO but delivery was something that could have waited till later. “Fine, we are here.” She handed him the case as she stepped into him. It wasn’t a completely friendly hand off. “And I can’t say I disagree. We aren’t a couple of Ensigns, SIR. You have wasted precious times and the lives of those you came to me to save. Do what you need. But don’t think that even I am all that amiable to how you did this.” She shook her head as her look softened, “Regardless of your intentions.”

She didn’t walk away because she wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction of thinking her mad and resigned. She would stay till he left, or his temper got the best of him and he beamed them all back out again ‘just because he could’. One of these days, the two of them were going to butt heads on more serious matters. She wondered, then, just who would end up walking away.

Tenkiller waited until they were finished and said “Y’all done? Good. Maybe now you’ll shut up for a sec and listen.” and he looked at Baldur. “While your lordship sure is right, you might want to consider the layout of the station and exactly where we are now. Security. One deck up from the labs, and…” and he walked over to a hatch in the floor and entered a code into the covered key pad, sliding the hatch open. “… one ladder down to the weapons locker which is on the same deck as your lab. You two get kitted up properly, then take that damn thing back to science and keep it from being detected. Anybody looks at the transporter, they’ll see we beamed here… but no record of you going back. Hunker down, and we’ll see about getting rid of our guests.” and he went to a terminal and keyed in a few commands. He then went to a rack and grabbed two Pulse Compression Phaser rifles and two Type II phasers. “There. Y’all have access to the locker. Don’t go too crazy shopping.” and he grinned and held up the fake chip. “I’ll see y’all later.” and he keyed his comms. =/\= Tenkiller to Transporter. Emergency point-to-point. Drop me right next to the Captain. =/\= and he slung the rifles over his shoulder and held two at the ready. He shimmered and was gone.

Tenkiller, CoS

Toveka frowned and watched him as he spoke and moved about the space. His explanation would have been much better if he’d just said it in the beginning Hey, we are going one deck up, you’re gonna get weapons, then crawl back down here and hide. As he faded from sight, Toveka smiled. “One of these days I’m gonna kick him, Baldur. I swear it. And the brig time would be worth it.” She glanced at him with an uncharacteristic look of disdain in her gaze for the Chief of Security.

She moved to the locker he had given them access to. “Long arm or pistol, Lieutenant Commander?” She asked, holding up a rifle and phaser with a sly grin on her face.

Baldur grabbed a rifle, he’d allowed the Security Chief to have the last word, mostly because it was the polite thing to do. He had been harsh on the officer and understood he had the best of intentions in mind. “Don’t, he was simply doing what he thought was necessary” He said calmly examining the rifle; He turned it around a few times then opened it up to examine the power cell then quickly closed it again and primed it “The backward reasoning was sound if overly defensive” When the weapon was prepared he grabbed the chip case, handing it to the scientist “How advanced was your firearm training?” He asked as he nodded to the type 2 in her hand.

SOO - Baldur

Toveka did her own check and conditioning of her weapon and smiled. “I can’t pick off a tribble at a hundred kilometers, but I can defend my lab and not blow you up in the process. How’s that?” She smiled and set the checked phaser on her hip before handing him one as well and then locking the locker. Taking up the chip case, she nodded to the floor. “Shall we?” Patting his arm in reassurance she slung the rifle over her shoulder and deftly went back down into the Science lab after a quick check part way down to be sure it was still empty.

Paige looked at Toveka and Baldur and finally just turned and walked out of the labs “Nevermind, I’ll figure it out on my own.” She said frustrated and walked away and headed back to Sickbay.

CMO

Baldur stretched slightly as he exited “By Thor’s beard” He exclaimed “Doctor Stone” He jogged to the door “Do you think now is the time to throw a fit, we’re in the middle of an emergency” He called out to her “We’re under attack is that enough?”

SOO - Baldur
(fixed it to ‘not the time for a fit’… let me know if I was mistaken and you actually ‘wanted’ her to have a fit lol)

“Fine.” She said as she continued on her way “I’ll have sickbay ready for wounded.” She said and continued walking, still angry that she was almost completely in the dark and had patients that were being impacted by it. She would simply do what she was trained to do, heal.

Baldur sighed, she had misunderstood his intention as brushing her off instead of trying to get her back to explain the situation. No matter, he’d find a way to make it up to her.

Toveka sighed as she saw the CMO upon descending. The woman had been out of line of sight of the ladder till the scientist had stepped away from the ladder and turned. As she departed, she was glad the SOO had gone after her. She could certainly sympathize with the woman being upset. Ten had beamed out all but her and left her here. She made a mental note to take the woman to lunch when this was over.

Moving to the area the other cases like the one in her hand were stowed, Toveka shifted it to the back and rearranged the small cupboard to look like nothing was amiss. The case was scan proof and with a temporary quarantine shield down, for their protection in a crisis of course, the chip would be totally undetectable. She then disposed of the other brain materials they had created. And lastly, she went thru and transferred all the test sims to three small chips. One she set under the edge of the desk where it wouldn’t be seen. The other two she took to her office. One went in a container in her desk with a couple dozen other discs. This one she marked with a small lightning bolt circled, and tossed it in with the rest, mixing it in with her fingers to disguise it. The other one, she tucked behind the edge of the digital board on her wall on the far side away from the door. It was so small, no one knew it was there.

Sitting back at her desk, she made a quick log entry that stated the chip hadn’t done anything and that security had come and confiscated it and took it with them back to the promenade. She made sure the feeling of anger and panic was in the short entry and keyed it to let her know if anyone did a search for her, Science, the chip, temporal anomalies, or brain. Satisfied, she went back in the other room to see how Baldur and the CMO were doing.

CMO

Baldur went past the Scientist as she came towards him “SHe’es going back to Sickbay, how’d you do?” He asked, his voice calm if barely so.

SOO - Baldur
