Ravenna had been on the ship about a day or so before coming to get her physical. She shrugged herself into her uniform and thanks to some study of the schematics, made her way into sick bay. She looked around at where she would be working for the next amount of time and nodded. “plenty capable. Good. I have worked in far less.” as she made her way around towards the office and chimed in.

Sickbay was teeming with life, people rushing back and forth to accomodate the needs of their tasks, either orded to taken upon themselves. It seemed to dance with the business of level headed medical officers, and their patients.. Who sometimes did not possesses that same state of mind. For one doctor in particular, there was an almost quiet nature to the work day, a shift found sorting through files.. Work she could have easily asked an ensign to do. Although, she felt it better done by her, knowing an Ensign would grow bored and restless, impeding the value of the work.

The chime.
It met her ears with its abrupt ring, calculator eyes rising to meet the challenge of whoever stood beyond them. When she spoke, her voice was slightly accented, her tone unwavering albeit calm. “Come in!”

After hearing the come in she entered and stood at attention. Her hair meticulously put up in a high bun. She took the time to look at her and memorize who her new boss was. She then took a deep breath and said,” ensign Ravenna Johnson reporting ma’am. “

Bump!

OOC: Apologies! I’m coming down with a nasty virus, so things have been sluggish!

IC:
T’Aria was no ordinary Vulcan, in terms of appearance. Her skin was a pale, soft cream, matched with somewhat light, woodworn beige eyes. Both such things common for her people, her pointed ears adding only to the pitiful originality of the Vulcan race. However, what set her apart, was the long, curly blonde hair that fell beneath ger shoulders, pulled back into a standard style. It was not hard to pick her out, if one noticed her hair and telltale ears.

“Pleasure to meet you, Ensign Johnson.” T’Aria motioned for her to take a seat. “I am Doctor T’Aria. I trust your journey was well?”

Ravenna took the time to consider her next words “yes. It was well enough. Only one minor delay suprisingly. But the journey itsself was uneventful.” she smiled and stayed at attention. Her own hair straight and in a high bun atop of her head. The only thing out of place? A necklace in the shape of a five point star.

T’Aria noticed these idiosyncracies about her appearance, but she hadn’t ever been the type to question them. “I see,” She turned to pull up the file of the doctor, to look into any previous assignments, commendations, reprimands, anything to know who she was dealing with. “Is this your first assignment?”

She had a rather clean record, other than one reprimand in Academy for purposefully saying she wasn’t going to hand in an assignment. After she asked she nodded and saif” yes ma’am. First assignment. I do hope the help comes in handy. I have a specialty in trauma medicine. “she said after a moment, flexing her hands behind her back just briefly before her eyes turn back to the boss lady.

“And do you have any previous experience in practicing trauma medicine? On someone real, that is. Whether that be on an Academy ship, during an exercise,” She wished to know where the ensign was, before she suddenly called for her to help with any trauma medical situation. After all, learning was only so much, experience was golden.

“I was a combat medic before I joined up with starfleet ma’am. Helping my parents who were trauma surgeons. Guess I’m following in their shoes, God bless them. “she said after a moment and swallowed thickly, taking a deep breath. Her face for just a few moments fell before she took on that calm demeanor again.
