Rear Admiral Beymer sat staring at his Padd, The orders that he held in his hand were beyond strange. He had never really seen anything like this before. But he had resigned himself a long time ago to just not question certain things. This would be one of those things that he would not question. The Admiral heard the Ensign calling to him, “Admiral sir, we are approaching the Chernov” The admiral looked out the window at the sleek vessel. It was large and well equipped. He almost wished he was back on a Starship and not flying a desk. “Alright Ensign, Lets hail them and dock”The Ensign opened a comms Channel [O] Chernov this is Fleet Shuttle 1007, we have Rear Admiral Beymer on board and request permission to dock. [C]

GMAn Ensign was manning communications when the communication came in [O]Chernov to Fleet Shuttle 1007, permission granted.[C] After closing out that comm he quickly toggled the Captain and First Officer.[O]Bridge to Captain Stovik and Commander Traggart, Admiral Beymer is docking at Shuttlebay 1., sirs.[C]
NE Comms
The pilot turned on the comms [O] Acknowledged Chernov beginning docking procedures [C] The ensign began touching controls and going through a checklist. The admiral watched closely at the ensign, he was a new pilot to the Admiral and that always made him a bit nervous. The ensign began speaking out-loud.
o “Coming to Port 163.2,
o In alignment with docking ports,
o Dropping speed to one quarter impulse,
o Approached 1000 meters from bay,
o Switching to maneuvering thrusters,
o Reverse thrusters on,
o Landing Struts deployed
o Confirmed lock on landing struts
o Cutting forward and reverse thrusters,
o Confirmed alignment with shuttle dock,”
The admiral felt a small thud as the struts touched down. the ensign continued his shut down procedures ticking off the elements of the shuttle docking. He was being very diligent about the entire process. The ensign stood up “Admiral sir, You are cleared to disembark.”
The admiral stood and looked at the passengers that would be joining him on the Chernov, a feeling of despair washed over him. There were never any words to put how sorry he was for all of this, not that he had anything to do with it but he still could not imagine the pain that they felt, or maybe that they did not feel. The door began to slowly lower....
