Chris and Kane: Free birds. (Also a great song)After talking to Loring Chris and Kane agreed to go to Chris’s quarters for refreshments and much needed alcohol without prying eyes.
“Make yourself comfortable mate. Have any and as much of what you want....well… at least until the bottle is gone. ” Chris smiled.
Chris.
Kane flopped down on the couch and set his feet on the table; apparently getting comfortable wasn’t going to be an issue. “It;s faster to get drunk if we put straws in the bottles. Just sayin’.” and he stretched. “So I gotta ask, since it seems that you and I are in the same mess… what the hell is going on and what has Loring got us into?
Kane, Tac / Med
“Good idea!” Chris said as he heard about the straws. He sat the bottles down and opened a drawer and pulled out a couple of straws then picked up the bottles and glasses again. He sat a full bottle of straight Kentucky bourbon down and an empty glass with a straw. “That’s for you. ” He had an identical bottle for him. “This is for me. ” He poured his glass full and sat the bottle down and put the straw in it and ducked up the bourbon. “Ahhhhh. That hit the spot. “
Kane took the bottle, put the straw in it, shoved the glass away form him as if it had committed some kind of offence, and took several long drinks causing the bottle to visible lower in fluid level.
“You’re right. We are both in the same boat. “Loring approached me earlier and gave me a spot in the Intel department with him. I’m sure an invataition that you can’t refuse is on its way as well. I say can’t refuse because I couldn’t. I was just made a G-Man. He also gave us our first assignment. You want to hear about it bro?”
OOC: We will have a mission that takes place while we are supposed to be at Risa. So we will be available for the main SIM.

Kane scoffed. “If Loring knows what’s good for him, he damn well better have some lacky send me the ‘invitation’ to his little club. If I see anything from him, I’m liable to just burn the console it’s on without reading it.” and he took another drink. “Ok, now that I’ve shown my liver that I’m in charge, hit me. What does Glorious Leader want us to do?”
Kane. Tac / Med
“I agree. ” He said leaning in closer and his voice getting quite for no reason at all but to convey the secrecy of the situation. “We are to leave in two days to go to the Cardadsian home world and retrieve a high level political defector and be back here before our ship leaves. No one can know about it, not even the Captain. So we can’t use any of our shuttles. We’re either have to buy or preferably steal a warp capable ship to get us there and back. ” He leaned back and drank some more whiskey. Waiting for Kane.
