Once thru all got into his office Chris offered the chair behind the desk to the Admiral. Once everyone wad good Chris took a seat and looked at the Admiral.In a nice tone not like the ones he used on the bridge, “Admiral. Why all of a sudden are we, the Romulans and the Orions are looking for the exact same thing at the exact same time?”
While listening to any response from anyone Chris got back up and went over to a cart and poured water into three glasses and handed one to the Admiral and Stovik and then sat back down.

Stovik accepted the water and looked at the Admiral with interest, wishing to know the answer to that question himself. He noted Taggert’s change of tone and began to wonder if his erstwhile XO was doing what humans called posturing for a reason. Humans did seem to have an illogical sense of logic, more like instinct in his opinion. But it had proved at times almost as useful as the more contemporary logic of his people.
He was almost thrown by Taggart’s Command style though. He had acted one way as his XO but now differently as CO. Was the man searching for a command style? Trying out different ways? Stovik didn’t know but he mused to himself, it would be fascinating to watch if the man didn’t get them killed or himself demoted.
Reigning in his musings he glanced back at the Admiral.

The admiral stood silently for a moment, “No one besides the Vulcan’s know anything about Vulcan history. Can you imagine the damage it would do to the Romulans if the rumors regarding Romulan’s actually being from Vulcan, long since ascendants that left in search of their own way, or the technological advances that the Vulcan’s never choose to share, the information that they may have hidden....” The Admiral turned rapidly, his eyes wide having been staring out the window “CAPTAIN” he yelled.

Chris nodded. “Ok. I understand that and the severity of the situation. We will do our best to keep Vulcan artifacts in Vulcan hands…” He was going to say more when the Admiral yelled and as Chris looked out the window to see what it was he reached over and toggled the switch for comms. [O]Bridge! Shields up![O]
