Main SIM Bridge open to all

Snip

[O] Romulan decloaked and Ens. Jackson looked to be teleported off the bridge. My gut says he was working with them, Skipper. Too damn helpful, too damn ineffective on his ‘tests’. [O]

[O] Follow them at long sensor range, it could be a trap. [O]

The ready room doors whooshed open and Stovik stepped out, his piercing eyes flicking over the bridge quickly.”Report.” He ordered. The Romulans had to have had a reason for choosing to decloak and then vanishing. They had gotten whatever they had come for..most likely.

Commander Stovik

Kane looked at Stovik. “Ran a diagnostic on the sensor console. Just as it completed, we pinged a Romulan Warbird 200 meters off the bow. They decloaked, grabbed Jackson, and took off. Jackson was running sensors. He was the one who kept things slow while being all up in it. As I said, I think they grabbed their guy and left. Either that, or the suggestion of running a full diagnostic on the panel Jackson was on and then him being grabbed by a ship we should have picked up earlier is coincidence. And you know how often those happen, right?”

Kane, Tac / Med

“Indeed. Scan for tachyons and any ion trail.” He knew that the likelihood of finding a trail was slim. Romulan cloaking technology had come a long way to overcoming that particular weakness.

On the main view screen the ship appeared to shimmer and then disappear into nothing, sensor’s dropped the ship and could not detect anything further. The ship was simply gone. Sensor sweeps did not show any warp train or Ion trail. The last known course of the ship was in the direction away from the Chernov’s location.

“Son of a.....”

Admiral Beymer walked on to the bridge, “Captain did they respond to our hail’s?”

GM

Chris ran his hand through his black curly hair and let out a long sigh. “To be honest Admiral, they didn’t respond to the hail because I forgot to order it. This mission is bigger than one man. We will resume course to Old Vulcan. Keep shields up. I don’t want this to happen again. Fire a long range probe in the Romulans direction of travel. Once this is over then we will see about getting our man back. Lt. Kane. Make it so please. “

Captain Chris Taggart CO

Stovik frowned as he looked back at the Captain and Admiral, “What would they wish with a Science officer? We have not briefed the bridge crew on the exact details of the mission as of yet. He would know nothing other then we were going to Old Vulcan.” His eyes were hooded as he tried to see the logic in the Romulans actions.

Commander Stovik

“Mmmmn.” Chris was in thought. “You know cap....commander Stovik you are right. Why would they take him over someone else? Doesn’t make sense. What Kane said makes sense and he’s usually never wrong when his gut is telling him something. “

The Helmsman after pushing several buttons “Course corrected Captain, enroute to Vulcan… ETA appears to be four hours at this point sir.”

“Excellent.” Chris said as he listened.

A science officer piped up “Sir long range scanners are picking up high levels of debris in the area that we are proceeding, it could be difficult to maneuver in the debris field.” The officer’s hands moved on the console “We appear to be to far out for visual sir”

GM

“Very well. Once we get into visual range then let me know what you see. Also plot a couple courses around and through the debris field. Just in case. ”

Captain Chris Taggart CO

Stovik was about to answer Taggart’s musings when a call came in from Engineering.
=^= Engineering to Captain Taggart, could you and Commander Stovik drop by if you have a moment? =^=

Stovik’s brows lowered a moment as he contemplated why the CE would be contacting them. Something wrong with the engines? But then why did he not say what that was over the comms?

Commander Stovik

Chris nodded to Stovik. [O] On our way chief. [O] “Lt Grey. You have the Conn.”

With that Chris went to the lift.
