After speaking with the CSO, Deggur made his way to Sickbay. As he entered, several nurses and patients glanced in his direction. At least half of them stopped what they were doing to stare at the 7‘2” Orion male, while the others immediately found something else to occupy their attentions. The closest NE nurse that Deggur spotted nearly stumbled before asking him what she could do for him.

“Doctor. Physical.” he stated, and she waved him toward one of the biobeds. He sat down and waited patiently.

-Ensign Deggur, Science

“Doctor,” A nurse approached her, jarring her thoughts from the cultures she was studying. Raising her head, an expectant eyebrow posed in its sleek arch, T’Aria turned to the young woman. “Am I interrupting something?”

“Yes, Ensign, you are.” She blandly retorted, switching off the microscope. “However, my endeavours are secondary to you. What can I do for you, Nurse?”

“There is an Orion man waiting for a physical.”

“What makes you incapable of performing a physical on him, Ensign? You would only require my signature following its completion.”

“I-uh.. He is..” She trailed off, anxiously rubbing the back of her neck.

“He is..?” T’Aria encouraged an answer, she did not have time for stalling.

“He is intimidating,” The nurse admitted, sheepishly glancing away from her supervisor.

Considering the woman for a moment, she shook her head. It was foolish to allow oneself to be intimidated by their patients, but T’Aria chose to sympathise for her..just this once. “Very well. I will see to his physical,” She nodded, peering past the labratory doors as an Ensign passed through them. “I suspect I will need assistance. Come, you will help me.”

Without further word, T’Aria removed the slide from the microscope, placing it into a sterile container. Once it was secure, she picked up a PaDD and handed it to the nurse. “You will record the information from today’s appointment.” She informed, retrieving a medical scanner. “There is nothing to fear, Ms. Blaylock.”

“Ensign,” T’Aria approached Deggur, bowing her head in greeting. “I am Doctor T’Aria,” She gestured to the Ensign, whose nervous jitters were subdued by her rigid stance.”This is Nurse Blaylock; she will be assisting me today with your care.”

Deggur nodded and looked to the nurse. He smiled, baring his teeth, which showed off the sharpened canines that almost made his smile appear vampiric in nature. This made the nurse cringe slightly. But in her favor, she continued to do her job.

“Name and date of birth?” Blaylock asked, her head beant over the PaDD as she searched for his file.

Dr. T’Aria
Physician

“Ensign Deggur,” he responded curtly. “Born 2221, May 4th by the Terran calendar.”

-Ensign Deggur, Science

“Mister Deggur, have you experienced any ailments or been in contact with diseased persons in the last fourteen days?” T’Aria inquired, recallibrating the scanner to suit Orion physiology.

Dr. T’Aria
CMO

“No, ma’am, I haven’t,” he answered. “You will find that I am in perfect health for an Orion of my size and age.” He smirked a little as he said that last bit.

-Ensign Deggur, Science

“An astute observation, Ensign.” T’Aria hummed, dryly. “I’ve little doubt scans will determine otherwise.”

Waving the scanner in a zig-zag motion, she glanced over the results. “Have you broken or fractured any bones in your past?” The questions were in no correlation with the scan’s results.

Dr. T’Aria
Physician

“I did have an incident with some other children when I was 10. I fractured a few bones in my left wrist, but it has healed over time.” Deggur waited patiently for the doctor to finish her scans.

-Ensign Deggur, Science

OOC: What do the scans read? :)

IC: T’Aria gestured to Nurse Blaylock, shaking her from her daze. “Nurse?”

“Sorry, Lieutenant.” Blaylock smiled sheepishly, ensuring the information had already been recorded in his medical file.

Quirking an eyebrow, she turned back to Deggur. “Have you experienced any aches or pains in your wrist?” He had mentioned the bones had healed, but she wanted to make sure there wasn’t any arthritis. Although, the technology of the age was superior to the past and most fractures and breaks could be mended without residual effects.

Dr. T’Aria, CMO
NE Blaylock, Nurse

OOC: The scans will pick up a slight scar where the bone was mended, as Orion medicine is not quite as fleshed out as the Federation yet, but there are no signs of anything that should impair him in the future as long as he doesn’t try to lift a shuttlecraft or something.

IC: “Not since I was a child, ma’am. It really isn’t anything to worry about, I’m fine.” Deggur shifted slightly on the biobed, as if he was almost embarrassed that he even mentioned the wrist. But it passed, and he composed himself, and remained rigid.

-Ensign Deggur, Science

“It would appear you are in optimal health, given a condition considered normal for your age and species, Ensign.” T’Aria set the scanner on the bedside table. “Unless you have any questions for me, you are cleared for duty.”

Dr. T’Aria, CMO

“Nothing that I can think of at the moment, Doctor. Thank you.” Ensign Deggur got up and started to walk towards the door, then turned around. “Actually there was one thing,” and he seemed to hesitate before he finished. “Where can I find the exercise facilities on board?”

-Ensign Deggur, Science

“The gymnasium, just as you would expect to find them on any ship, Ensign.” T’Aria informed, contemplating a moment. “Deck six, just beneath us.”

CMO
