A NE security officer came running onto the bridge and went straight to the Admiral and gave him a sheet of paper. Once the Admiral gave it back he went to the command chair and motioned for Kane to come to Grey and handed them the paper.

The note reads:
Admiral.
Go get the Vulcans out of their room and go to a turbo lift and tell them not to talk about anything mission related to themselves or you while you or them are in your quarters, the bridge, conference room 1, the captain’s ready room or the War room. We believe there are listening devices on the ship.

Commander Grey and Lt Kane:
Set a new course to the East side of Old Vulcan in secret. Then Grey I want you to tell Kane out loud that we are going to the South end because that’s where we believe the allspark thing is at.

“Thank you” Will gave the security officer a friendly smile as he read over the note “Alright, Thank you, Admiral” The Scientist maintained his composure despite the situation. He placed the paper in Kane’s hand, barely managing to stop a tremor in his own “Additional orders: Helm adjust your heading for the southern pole of Old Vulcan” He hesitated “Well where the southern pole presumably was” His tone was entirely devoid of humor. He moved next to the helmsman and looked over his console and with a smile tapped a simple message on his screen ‘East not south - no Questions’ After this mission I don’t think I’ll ever leave my lab again He thought to himselves.

Kane read the note and then looked at Grey and said with his characteristic snarl “And? I swear man, how many times do I have to tell you I don’t care about who is ordering what? Just let me do my job.” but he shoved the note down deep in his pocket. “Scanning former south pole region. As if I needed a love note to tell me to do that.” he growled and began using the tactical station to try and see what lay ahead in the former eastern region of Old Vulcan, but surreptitiously keeping his body between the display and anyone passing by.

Deggur noticed the passing of notes and realized that something rather strange was going on. Between Jackson’s disappearance, transfer or not, the sudden call to come to the bridge and replace him, and the notes, the Orion was starting to get suspicious. He decided that it was in his best interest to focus on the sensors for now. If it was important for him to know exactly what was going on, he was sure they would inform him. I think, he mused to himself, hoping that they wouldn’t be suspicious of him as well.

-Ensign Deggur, Science

William turned around and put his arms behind his back in a calm manner “Technically you do need a note, new orders are new orders” The Scientist smiled politely at his coworker as he made his way back to the center of the bridge “In any case let’s have everything prepped and ready by the time we arrive. Sensor crews get to work, let’s make sure we know everything there is to know about his place of true tragedy” The young man said turning back around.

CSO

“Yes, sir!” the Orion bellowed, perhaps too eagerly, as he moved to prepare the sensors. He did love it when he had a purpose, something to do that would help out in the situation…

-Ensign Deggur, Science

Mwezi was silent, maintaining his security presence.

Mwezi. Sec

The coms came on from engineering.

[O] All Department Heads are to bring ALL personnel that have boarded this ship since the last three docks and take them to shuttle bay 2. ASAP! Security will help you escort them. Take no one’s word and don’t leave anyone alone. Security deploy to all levels and post guards at all stations and inside and out of shuttle bay 2. Arm yourselves.

Bridge. Go to lock down procedures. [O]

Captain Chris Taggart CO

William stiffened up as he touched the comm button on the Captain’s chair [O]Bridge Copies[C] He said simply before taking a moment to look at the viewscreen.

Deggur braced himself and looked to Lt. Cmdr. Grey with a curious expression. “Sir? Do you know what’s going on? And does that mean me?”

-Ensign Deggur, Science

Mwezi glanced around, calculating the numbers in his mind. Who was new crew, who had been here a while…?

Mwezi, cos

William turned to Deggur “Yes I do believe it does” He said, purposefully ignoring his first question. Walking across the room and unlocking a weapons locker with his thumb, grabbing two holstered type two phasers, attaching one to his side and handing the other to Kane “Mr. Mwezi, please initiate bridge lockdown after we have sent all new personnel to the shuttle bay, also charge whoever you can spare from the bridge to escort duties.” He turned to his Orion Scientist “Mr. Deggur, please lead the charge and go with the other fresh transfers to the shuttle bay.” His very stiff nature clear at the moment “Mr. Kane, go through our internal records find all new officers, forward the information to all relevant department heads and make sure Lieutenant Mwezi receives copies of all files.” Finally, Will sat down in the chair and pressed a few commands to prepare the Bridge for Lockdown.

CSO

Kane took the phaser and made a quick but thorough check of the device. Oddly fast for a Medical staffer, but done nonetheless. And the blue uniformed and tattooed man was standing watch at the tactical console, so… Without a word, he began reviewing the entire crew roster and flagging those specified.

The Orion nodded in response to the CSO, then looked to the other newbies on the bridge. “Let’s not keep them waiting down there. None of you object, of course?” He let go a soft growl, baring his teeth, hoping that he didn’t have to forcibly remove anyone from the bridge.

Ensign Deggur, Science

Kane looked up, the wild hair falling around his face and gave the Orion a look that seemed almost feral and completely unfazed by the green scientist’s size. “You heard the man. Off the bridge and to the cargo bay. Now. Or I’ll carry you down there myself.” He then looked at Mwezi. “Warren, files are sent.”

Deggur smiled and nodded towards Kane. He really liked it when they weren’t scared or intimidated by his stature. Those were the officers that were worth their salt, the ones who didn’t fear the unknown. He found himself hoping that he would make a friend of this Tac/Med officer. But this was an emergency situation, and his smile lasted barely a moment as he began to escort the others to the shuttlebay.

Chris pressed the comm switch on the wall to the bridge where the Admiral was. [O] Understood Admiral. One thing at a time right now. Commander Grey. Full stop and raise shields. [O]

“You heard the Captain, full stop, yellow alert and shields up” William spoke in his imitation of a commanders voice, something he hadn’t had much time to develop due to inexperience and youth. He opened the Com to the Captain [O]We’re stopped and ready, sir?[C] He informed the CO.

CSO

[O] Good. Coordinate with the CE and scan for those cloaked ships. He is in charge of a group of people that is helping him. Remember Commander , you have the con, no one else. [O] Chris hopped that Grey could read between the lines and realize that Grey not the Admiral is in charge.

Captain Chris Taggart CO

William raised an eyebrow but didn’t hesitate to hit the chai comm button [O]Copy that Captain, bridge out[C] He closed the channel, avoiding looking towards the admiral.

The sensor’s on the science console began to show a ship at distance, It appeared to be a Orion Vessel based on initial scans, The vessel was hovering about in the general area that was needed to plot a course through the area.

GM

The turbolift doors parted, depositing him at the back of the Bridge. He stepped out and stopped briefly, struck by the realization that while he had been on dozens of Kurtzman bridges before, he’d never done so as a ships officer. He’d spent so much time going over the engineering deck with a fine toothed comb, he hadn’t had time to inspect the bridge engineering stations. He shook off the feeling, his fingers tingling in anticipation as he moved straight to the engineering terminal at the rear of the bridge. Calling up the displays he’d mirrored down in engineering, he slid into the seat in front of the station, looking over at the science station “I’m sending you a profile we pulled from the datacore. It’s an emissions analysis. I’ve set up a direct feed to the main sensor array, bypassing the engineering core. Set a wide band and scan for any anomalous readings matching that profile within a variance of .5%”

Whitney (CE)

William swiveled the central chair upon the arrival of the Chief Engineer “Welcome to the Bridge Chief” He said trying to calm an ever so excited voice “We have an Orion vessel right in the middle of our planned path and that is not counting potential cloaked vessels” He smiled joylessly “Alright then, let’s start scanning for those profiles” He ordered the oddly quiet bridge crew.

CSO

He turned slightly further in the seat, looking through the rear displays at the CSO “If you can get me some closer scans of that Orion, I can tell you what kind of custom modifications it has and possibly whether it’s private or military”

CE

Kane began running an analysis of the Orion ship from the tactical console as well, seeing if he could see anything at this range.
