The turbolift doors parted, depositing him at the back of the Bridge. He stepped out and stopped briefly, struck by the realization that while he had been on dozens of Kurtzman bridges before, he’d never done so as a ships officer. He’d spent so much time going over the engineering deck with a fine toothed comb, he hadn’t had time to inspect the bridge engineering stations. He shook off the feeling, his fingers tingling in anticipation as he moved straight to the engineering terminal at the rear of the bridge. Calling up the displays he’d mirrored down in engineering, he slid into the seat in front of the station, looking over at the science station “I’m sending you a profile we pulled from the datacore. It’s an emissions analysis. I’ve set up a direct feed to the main sensor array, bypassing the engineering core. Set a wide band and scan for any anomalous readings matching that profile within a variance of .5%”

William swiveled the central chair upon the arrival of the Chief Engineer “Welcome to the Bridge Chief” He said trying to calm an ever so excited voice “We have an Orion vessel right in the middle of our planned path and that is not counting potential cloaked vessels” He smiled joylessly “Alright then, let’s start scanning for those profiles” He ordered the oddly quiet bridge crew.

CSO

He turned slightly further in the seat, looking through the rear displays at the CSO “If you can get me some closer scans of that Orion, I can tell you what kind of custom modifications it has and possibly whether it’s private or military”

CE

Kane began running an analysis of the Orion ship from the tactical console as well, seeing if he could see anything at this range.

Chris came onto the bridge and walked over to Commander Grey. “Commander. Report please. “

Captain Chris Taggart CO

Stovik followed the Captain and Deggur out onto the bridge and stood quietly at the back to watch what the Captain had planned. He eyed the viewscreen and noted the Orion ship on it and began to have an inkling of what Taggart might have planned.

Commander Stovik

William stood up from the chair, straightening his uniform as he stood at partial attention “Captain, we’ve detected a single ship of Orion origin that is in the general vicinity of our path through the debris field” He looked towards the Chief Engineer “Chief Whitney has set up a scan that should aid us in detecting the profile of the cloaked ship” He explained, trying to slow himself so that his words would be understandable.

CSO

“Awesome!” Chris said with excitement. “It just so happens that I brought along an Orion. ” He gestured behind him to the big Orion.

“Ensign Deggur. Please assist the Chief Engineer and Chief Scientist in helping us to kick some butt if we need to.”

Captain Chris Taggart CO

“Yes, sir!” Deggur said excitedly. He had been waiting for a day like this to see some real action. He walked up to Chief’s Whitney and Grey and simply said, “Where do you need me?”

-Ensign/Captain Deggur, Science/CO

“Well” William began before the Captain interjected.

“Oh and Captain Deggur. When you’re done with that stay by the commander’s and myself so you can learn how to command the bridge. ” He smiled broadly again.

Captain/ Lt. Chris Taggart CO/Medical

He deferred to Grey, as Deggur was his junior.

CE

At the Captains word the Chief Scientist gave an odd expression, something between confusion and curiosity “Right, uhm” He turned to his very large subbordinate and cleared his throat “Man the main station, do a focused sensor scan of the Orion vessel and forward any information to Chief Whitney, We’re also running a program to search for cloaked vessels, keep an eye on that.”

CSO

“Aye, sir,” Deggur responded as he approached the main station. He ran his large green fingers across the console, setting up a localized scan on the Orion vessel. He also added a command line that would automatically send the information to Chief Whitney. As he did so, he continued to glance at the cloaked vessel detection program. The algorithm that they were running was fairly efficient.

-Ensign Deggur, Science

He glanced over to verify the Orions readings, marveling at the bulk of the boy. He’d spent plenty of time around Orions and Orion men did tend towards the larger side, but this fellow was positively gargantuan. He wondered how much he could drink…

CE

William nodded in approval of his subordinates work, quick thinking plus good coding skills. Promising work. He casually moved to the Captain, the uncomfortable weight of the phaser attached to his hip was unmistakable “Captain, you have some plan I assume?” He asked quietly.

CSO

“Yes. If the Orion’s try to stop us Captain Deggur here will step in an diffuse the situation. That is why I have LT Science shirt with me. He will have an ear piece in that he can hear Commander Stovik talk to help him. If none of that occurs then we will head straight to where Chief Whitney has scanned for the objects. I’m betting that we will not hear from any Romulans until we locate the Allspark thing. Then all hell will break loose. That is why you and the Chief are finding the cloaked ship’s so that we know where they are in advance. We will act like we don’t know where they are and might even pass by closely to see if they move and get a better reading. Once done we will be ready. So basically we will pull off some kind of Indiana Jones and Han Solo jump in and out heist. “

Captain Chris Taggart CO

“I see…” Will said with a hesitant tone. For a moment he considered asking the Captain to whom he was referring but considering his penchant for referencing 2oth century popular culture he was certain that the answers would be less than illuminating. “Well, we’ll continue our work” He turned around but stopped for a moment “The Bridge, as they say, is yours Captain” He said with a half smile before returning to the Chief Engineer and Deggur, joining them in their combined effort to locate the cloaked vessel.

CSO

Deggur listened to the exchange, unsure what a Han Solo was or who this Indiana Jones person was supposed to be, but assumed that the Solo was something that Mr. Jones would do during the heist, if he understood correctly. He shook his head, extremely confused, then continued deciphering the scans.

-Ensign Deggur, Science

“Have we had any hits on the cloaking scans yet?” William asked the pair. He stood behind Deggur and seemed even more rigid than usual. He looked over their screens and read the relevant information.

CSO

“Nothing yet, sir,” Deggur replied.

OOC: Phil is recovering from a visit to the hospital and an infection but he will be attempting to catch up. Thx everyone for your patience!

Krys

OOC: No worries! Hope everything is ok?

-Curtiss/Ensign Deggur, Science

OOC: As long as no one slaps me for not posting often enough :P
