Reid stared down at the floor, deep in thought as he walked to sickbay. The Constitution Class specifications long since committed to memory, he navigated without thinking. When he entered, he nearly walked into a nurse. He suddenly snapped back to reality. “Oh. Um. Dr Alex Reid, not a medical doctor, but you knew that from my shirt. Um, I’m here for a boarding examination.”

-Dr Alex Reid, CE

OOC: An IQ of 187, eidetic memory and capable of reading 20k words per minute? I wonder who Alex’s inspiration is.. ;) Welcome aboard, Sam!

IC:
“Clearly,” the nurse retorted, “have a seat over there.” He gestured to an empty biobed a few feet away. “If it means anything to you, Doctor, I’m Nurse Broderick.” He informed, picking up a PaDD to pull the Engineer’s file from the LCARS.

NE Nurse Broderick, medicine

OOC: Drat. You’re on to me. ;-)

IC:
Apart from being a flyweight, his adult medical history was unremarkable. He had been a sickly child, but that had passed. Reid sat on the biobed Nurse Broderick had sent him to. He’d had his fill of hospitals and sickbays as a child and still felt uncomfortable returning.

-Dr Alex Reid, CE

“Any illnesses, injuries or contact with any sick people in the last fourteen days?” Broderick asked, per protocol. He could sense the uneasiness in Reid’s mannerisms; he wore discomfort like a badge. “You okay, man? You look like kid waiting for the principal’s office.”

Nurse Broderick

“I always look like that. Or so I’m told. My last illness was one year, three weeks, and two days ago. No one in my immediate area has been sick recently. I did walk past someone in an isolation chamber. Andorian shingles.”

-Dr Alex Reid, CE

“Hmm..” Broderick inspected him a moment. “I don’t see any blood pooling from your eyes, nor any signs of skin deformities indicating you’ve caught the Shingles virus.” He hummed, “It’s safe to say you’ve been spared the torture of any more time in this sickbay.”

Setting the PaDD aside, the nurse grabbed the tricorder. “Do sit still..but I doubt you’ll have any issues with that.” He chuckled, running a quick scan over his body.

Nurse Broderick

Reid’s BP and heart rate were both high. He seemed to be in otherwise good health. Though he was a little thin for 6’1”.

-Dr Alex Reid, CE

“Do you like steak and potatoes, Doctor Reid?” The Nurse asked, jotting down the scan’s results on a report of Alex’s physical health.
