It was who knew how long later, when the crew of the Chernov would awaken. The rest of the crew was nowhere to be found. As they all got their bearings they would find they were in large eye straining blue colored room. They had on only their uniforms, but nothing else on them. Hair pins, jewelry, department pins, tools, communicators, etc were all gone or missing. The room was a bit chilly too though no sign of air movement would be felt. Nor was there any obvious signs of a doorway. The room was 20ft high by 100ft long by 50ft wide shaped like a rectangle it seemed. In the middle of the room floating 5 ft off the ground was a small 1ft long white rod shaped object that gave off the only light in the dim blue colored room.

Chris woke up and began looking around at the strange blue room. He tried to move but couldn’t like normal. Since they took everything, they took his right arm and left leg. He was also without his eye patch revealing the missing eye and large gash.

“Fire blast.” He muttered to himself. He began to crawl and check the other’s four wounds and signs of life.

Reid awoke. “Ow.” He looked around. “It seems my body doesn’t like being transported by force.” He sat up and examined the room. “Odd dimensions. Probably a containment unit. Not designed for comfort. Just holding. It might even be a disinfectant chamber. In which case, it’s probably on an automated release.”

-Dr Alex Reid

Chris was checking the others and heard what the CE said. “I agree. My body hurts all over. What do you mean by Automated release? And start looking for a way out of here since you have the best analysis for it. “

Deggur blinked rapidly as the Captain knelt over him. “Captain,” he said, rubbing his eyes as they adjusted to the light, “Where are we?” The Orion started to get up, letting the captain know he was alright.

-Ensign Deggur, Science

“It could be,” T’Aria agreed, “the room may double as an observation chamber.” Their use of blue light was curious to her. She figured their captors would have chosen warmer colours to subdue them, but she could be overestimating their intentions, especially if Reid’s theory had merit.

IC: “Deggur . I don’t know but what I do know is that we are being held captive somewhere and they like blue. Kind of like a cross between, Alice in Wonderland, an Edgar Allen Poe poem, Willy Wonka room and a Tim Burton movie. I can’t get up and I will need your assistance to stand please. “

Captain Chris Taggart CO

Reid stood up. “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Tim Burton remake, 2005.” Walking around for a moment, he analysed the space. “By automated release, I mean that this may be a temporary situation, once a condition is met, a computer releases a door. Disinfectant chambers in the era of the Enterprise NX-01 used a similar blue light as part of the conditions.” Reid started examining the walls, looking for a door. A small gap between wall and floor or wall and ceiling might be helpful. Or any air current.

-Dr Alex Reid, CE

Pacing the room Reid eventually found a thin outline of what might be a doorway but it was so small and slight that no one could get purchase on it to try to force it. Pushing did nothing, not did efforts to force it. The only reaction was a small circular slot opened to the right of the door. Its outline was a white color tone matching almost the floating white rod in color.

“It could be,” T’Aria agreed, “the room may double as an observation chamber.” Their use of blue light was curious to her. She figured their captors would have chosen warmer colours to subdue them, but she could be overestimating their intentions, especially if Reid’s theory had merit.

Kane slowly came to and opened his eyes. looking around and taking a quick count of people, he first said “I swear to all that is holy, if this is another virtual reality experiment by Intel, I’m gonna burn their headquarters to the &^%$^&ing ground.” and then, while getting to his feet, “Anyone hurt?” and looked at the others for any indication of injury or trauma.

“Duly noted,” T’Aria remarked as she pulled herself to her feet.

As Reid discovered the tubular hole, a mechanical voice echoed into the room =/\= Subject 093 has discovered beginning of test 1a, beginning observation, awaiting results. =/\= The voice said.

Reid looked back at the glowing rod. “It’s too obvious. But this looks like a keyhole and that’s the only object in the room.” He pulled one of his boots off, wary of skin contact with the rod. Hopefully the rubber in the boot would ground any current that came out. He slid his boot around the rod and tried to move it and navigate it as key to keyhole.

-Dr Alex Reid, CE

No electrical current came forth and the hovering rod moved without issue. Sliding into the hole the rod twisted into a spiral shape sliding in automatically. With a audible click, click, clunk, clunk sounds the outline of the door hissed an icy chill breeze into the room and slid smoothly into the wall. Outside the blue wall was an icy-white colored lined corridor which curved to left and right. Like the room the ceiling rose to a 20ft height, while the corridor was roughly 15ft wide. Despite its wet icy looks the floor and walls were not slippery, though they were pretty cold almost unbearably so. Thankfully too the air outside was cold but breathable as was gravity an Earth normal.

=/\= Subject 93 has solved test 1a in 10.19 seconds, observation complete. Awaiting discovery of next test. =/\= The mechanical voice intoned going silent

Since no one had picked up the captain, Chris sat on the floor staring. “Be careful Dr. Reid. Also see if we are still on the Chernov and am being deceived. Since you helped design the Chernov, you’d know better than anyone. “

“Captain,” T’Aria held out her hands to Chris; one for him to grasp, the other to stabilize him until he was on his feet.

After watching Reid for a moment he decided to act again. “Dr. Reid. See if someone else dies what you are doing even you’re done. I want to see if we as a collective have a number designation or if we individually have numbers. That way it might help us decide if we ate part of some beings experiment or are actually kidnapped?”

Captain Chris Taggart CO

“They appear to be testing our intelligence, both collectively and individually.” She observed for a moment, “the key was already inserted, so I doubt the previous action could be replicated. Perhaps we should all proceed into the hallway, in case the doorway closes once an individual has entered.” T’Aria appreciated science and experimentation, so long as she wasn’t a Guinea Pig. Peering down the corridor, she quirked an eyebrow. “The next test will likely have something to do with the crossroads,” she gestured to the hallway curving left and right.
