David walked into the shuttlebay not entirely prepared. He instructed the pilot to prep the shuttle as they waited for their team to assemble.

-Lt Cmdr David Malkin, XO

”..Right sir!” Said the eager NE murmuring happily as he entered the shuttle from the rear cracking his knuckles. “..Time for NE Useful to shine!” He said to himself prepping the shuttle for launch. The hum of the engines powering up soon filled the shuttlebay.

William stood behind Malkin with his hands behind his back, standing tense as was his way. The overly eager Ensign was slightly amusing that was for certain. He adjusted his tricorder and checked his sidearm once more, he still hadn’t gotten used to the extra weight despite his years on the Chernov. Luckily he hadn’t needed to draw nor fire his weapon yet. As he stood there a few members of his staff ran in with several bags “Sir the clothes you requested” One of them said “Right, sir” William turned to the first officer “I had my team prepare outfits based on our readings of the local population, drab colours and long sleeves.” He grabbed a small bag and stuffed his tricorder and communicator into it. “I suggest we get dressed before reaching the planet.”

[O] Commander Malkin this is Captain Taggart. We just recieved transmission that there is a very bad lightning storm in the area that you will be going. Be careful. [O]

Captain Chris Taggart CO

[O]Understood Captain.[C] David turned to the CSO. “Good idea. Alright. Here’s the riddle. Two objects propel themselves or are propelled at warp speed. There’s no apparent fuel or propulsion source. Why are they flying?”

-Lt Cmdr David Malkin, XO

From inside the shuttle NE Useful spoke, “..Shuttle is prepped and ready to go Commander!” He said with a happy hum.

“Have fun, everyone. Stay safe,” Mwezi stood in the door to the shufflecraft and gave them a thumbs up before backing off and returning to the bridge.

Will turned to face the large Weapons Officer and nodded slightly “Thank you Lieutenant” He said, slightly relaxing his posture.

OOC: Just waiting on all the human folks to assemble for the trip!

Dr Reid entered. “Hello everyone.” He seemed nervous. His last away mission hadn’t gone well and he wasn’t excited to go on another.

-Dr Alex Reid, aCE

“Dr Reid. Care to speculate on seemingly impossible warp theory?” David tried to put Reid at ease. The young man would be leaving soon anyway. He didn’t need to worry.

William turned to the XO “Sir, was that question erlier some sort of riddle?” He asked.

CSO, 2O

“Not exactly.” David said. “It’s exactly what’s happening. We have a medieval society and two objects travelled at warp speed. How?”

-Lt Cmdr David Malkin, XO

“It could be some low orbit gravitational effect. A gravity well creating a slingshot effect from the other side of the planet.”

-Dr Alex Reid, aCE

“Actually sir to be precise we have two warp signatures appearing within the system, it is too early to classify this as objects or anything else. Doctor Reed’s hypothesis, however, is interesting” The tall Scot turned to face the acting Chief Engineer “I don’t have much experience in warp theory so what do you think about natural occurring warp signals?”
