[snip]David walked into the transporter room, unhappy with the current situation. As the team drifted in, each one was taking a risk. He’d have to do his best to control it.

William arrived only a few seconds after the first officer, he was wearing the same outfit as before although he swapped the should which his bag was one to give him an easier way to get to his scanner and sidearm “Everything ready, sir?” He asked Commander Malkin.

“As it’s going to be.” was David’s not entirely comforting answer. “I need your professional opinion. Given their stage of development, how do you think they’ll take to unexpected strangers? Especially on a world where any tales of people entering the woods and being eaten by monsters may well be true.”

William took a moment to consider “Hard to guess, it depends entirely on how common travel between communities is, the problem with visiting worlds like this is that they probably have a lot of oral history, anything written down will be hard to access and there’s only so much we can gather from scan data. As long as we stick to saying we’re travelers only going through their territory and don’t spend too much time in any one place we should be fine. From a strict Xeno-Anthropological viewpoint we shouldn’t even go planetside until we’ve spent a few weeks studying them” He shrugged “But this investigation trumps those concerns.”

Blaze entered the room with a bag “ OK everyone I’ve been in my lab and I came up with a few things to help us” The first thing that he pulled out was a leather vest that looks like leather armor but within the leather armor was micromesh that will give the vest the strength of steel “I’d like everyone to wear a vest it will look basically the leather armor but it’s pretty much real armor” he pulled out a couple shock arrowheads for himself and a silver nitrate arrowhead. Then he pulled out a few small disc looking devices “ So now the werewolves they are basically like giant dogs didn’t get much scans on them but they do have big ears like a dog. These discs once they are activated will produce a high pitch noise that will make Dogs and or wolfs to flee and if the preset frequency is not the best we can adjust it by the number on the center of the device” he said passing the gear me made to the away team. He worked hard on the gear to help defend themselves from the threat.

OOC: I’ll run with Blaze’s gear build for once you all go planet side. Again though I need to stress that for the return non-humans should be encouraged to join this away team as I got nothing else ship side for you all to do then.

After 15 minutes Chris came in looking like something from Mad Max. He had a phaser and long sword with him. He was wearing all black and had a hooded cloak on that was deep purple.
“Ok Commander. I say we combine our forces. Find out what the hell is going on down there then bounce.”

Blaze gave the captain a vest and gear he made “this will help a lot It may look like basic leather armor vest but I Woven microfibers Into the leather to make it as strong as steel armor without the Weight” he said as he strap a miniature pop-up crossbow under his wrist “ This dart is laced with a powerful sleeping agent any one or thing that is hit with this dart will take a very deep nap”

The Captain took the items and passed them out to Mwezi and the Science Vulcan. “Thank you. You have been very busy since you’ve returned Dr. Blaze.”
NE Chuff looked on from the transporter controls. “..Everyone set?” He asked prepping the controls for use.

“Yes Mr. Chuff. Put us nearer that camp they where walking to earlier please.” He said as he stepped on the transport pad.

Will looked at the Captain, trying to suppress a look of disapproval “Sir, is it wise to leave with the entirety of the Senior Command Staff?” He said in a hushed tone, standing Behind the Captain on the transporter pad, having just put on the armor under his coat.

“You have a point good sir. But you forget I have three things that other captains do not. One.” He points a thumb back to Mwezi. “I have him. Two.” He points to Kane. “I have him as well. And thirdly which should have been not only number one but very obvious. I have the best damn crew around. So yeah. I feel good about this. If we split up then Commander Malkin will head one group and I the other.”
“Why do you ask Mr. Grey? You want to stay here or do you want me to stay here?”

William shrugged, checking his bag one more time “Can’t afford to leave me behind, Sir” He looked back at Taggart “To be frank you’d need a Vulcan from the Science Academy to replace me” He spoke with the arrogant confidence of youthful intelligence. His shoulders relaxed and his posture changed and Will smiled slightly “I just don’t want you to lose another leg, Sir.”

Chris laughed. “I don’t either and I would need two Vulcans to replace you!” He looked at the Vulcan with them. “No offense”
Looking back at Will. “I lost a lot more then just body parts that day William. Which reminds me. When we are done here, we will be going to Risa for two weeks of R&R. I’m going to go deep sea hunting..er fishing. Anyone can come.”

Dr. Blaze smiled about the deep sea hunting Idea. “Sounds like fun sir if you want I can Science the Hell out of the deep sea gear” Blaze made sure his own armor was on and checked to make sure he double strug his bow so his arrows will fire faster and hit deeper.
