-Kanina Dran, CNSWilliam opened his mouth to answer but was deftly stopped by the chief medical officer.
Kane’s wild-haired head whipped around to glare at the gathered officers. “All of you can either be quiet or get out. Pick one and stick with it.” he snapped in a stage-whisper. He then turned back around and watched the readings closely as the aliens did… whatever it was they were doing.

The calmbac extended its hand and reached into Taggart’s mind. All of his pain went away, and his mind became clear. “Your Captain’s mind is now clear. We must track the mind-stealer soon.”

The science officer gave Kane a nod towards the Captain then turned to the councilor “Indeed I am” He said in response then turned to Commander Sideman “Orders commander?” he asked.
Commander Sideman did not respond…
Kane ignored the exchange and instead concentrated on the scans and images of Taggart’s brain. He was looking for any indication that the aliens hadn’t been as thorough as their demeanor and words seemed to indicate.
“Doctor what do your scans show” asked the Commander?
While he wanted for a response from the CMO Sideman just stood there. The events that were not in progress were the result of his orders. Where they right? Only time would tell.

Chris visually relaxed and just fell into a very nice sleep.

Sideman watched everything going on knowing that it was out of his hands.

All indications were that Chris’ mind was completely clear, perhaps tired from the stress, but fine.

Kane scowled at the readings, but then said to no one in particular “Looks like he’ll be okay. Nothing abnormal. Brain activity mirrors previous scans from before the whatever-the-hell- that-was got in there.” and he turned and looked at the assemblage. “So he’ll sleep for a time. You can go now.” and he turned back to Taggart.

William cocked his head at the Medical Chief but made no moves towards the exit, instead, he turned to the Acting Captain “We’re mixed in the affairs of beings beyond us” He started. Personally, he would have liked to have kept the Parasite alien onboard but what was in the past was the past “These Aliens have healed two of our crew, I see no lawful reason to keep them onboard.” He said in a quiet voice.
