Chris was worried about the mental well being of Ensign Blaze so he sent a meshes to him and the Counselor to meet with the Captain in his ready room at 1400hrs. Chris waited for them to arrive.

Captain Chris Taggart CO

Blaze walk up to the door he was in his civilian wear. He didn’t feel like pulling his star fleet uniform on. He press the chime button to indicate he was outside. In his hand he had a small Device in his hand every time he click button on it it would morph between a ball a square or a pyramid.

He waited outside intill the captain tells him to enter. He was still abit upset from what happened the day before.

Ensign Alex Blaze (Engineer)

Kanina arrived outside the Ready Room at the same time as Blaze, but decided to wait until he had been in the ready room for just under a minute, wanting to avoid him feeling boxed in.

The object in blazes hand Continued to shift its shape as blaze flipped a small button on it. He saw the counselor approach and thought to himself (oh This is great they’re going to find a mental reason to kick me off the ship now I did leave my shift in engineering and Hidden myself until today)
He was not happy the the lack of respect from his department head yes he did hack his way into Starfleet but he was having second thoughts.

Ensign Alex Blaze (Engineer)

“Enter”. Came a loud and commanding voice. Chris hated having to act in this manner and hated having to do what he was doing even more, but such is the burden of command. The door opened and the office was light with the proper amount of lighting. On the Captains desk was five cubes in glass domes that looked like puzzle boxes and all were autographed with various names. One cube, the one in the middle, was still wrapped in what appeared to be butchers paper with a wax seal one it. There were various other cubes around the the office and some pictures of a pale man with pins sticking out all over his face and other grotesque people.

Chris was at the side of the room where there was a table with refreshments on it and a place for them all to sit together without the feeling of authority. Behind Chris was a tank with Ann arm and a leg floating in that looks like they have been ripped off and chewed. Standing Chris smiled. “Welcome both of you here. The purpose of this meeting is to find out if Ensign Blaze needs anything and I mean anything. This is a place where I would like for you to speak freely and with as much candor as you want. I do not want you to limit your words because of formality.”

Sitting again Chris waited for the others to take a seat before he continued. “I would like to thank you both for meeting me here. Blaze. I have a report that you left your work early yesterday. That will not be discussed here and you will not be reprimanded for it as I personally saw that you were very distressed and did not and would not have done something like that on purpose. I would like to hear a reason for why if you would like to give it though as I believe that that is just a small fraction of the problems that you are facing in your department and in your personal life.”

Turning to face the counselor. “Ma’am. Please evaluate Blaze and his emotions and let me know if they are true so we may be able to help him. I used to be a surgeon and I can fix the body but not the mind. That is why you are here. You may also speak freely in here. Now let us begin please.”

Captain Chris Taggert, CO

Blaze put the small device in his pocket “well sir why I left. Was due to the fact that the CE yelled at me cuz of our talk the other day and keeps me doing beginner things to do. I have finished the star fleet engineering courses and am now a full ensign but she keeps bringing up that I don’t belong here”Blaze plopped down in one of the chairs “how can I work with someone who keeps being up my passed and 6 months have passed and she still will not let me take the programming course and that was the only reason I chose to stay” he saw some tea and pour himself a glass. No matter how bad a day was cold tea always made him feel better.

Ensign Alex Blaze (Engineer)

“Well Blaze. I can understand that. What you did was not only a very big crime but it could have gotten not only yourself killed but others as well. The ONLY reason that you are not in a prison cell at this time is because you saved my life. I am trying to do the same for your career. I cannot control what or how anyone else thinks about you on this ship. I will try again and put in a word to the Chief Engineer to try to give you more lead way. But please keep in mind that that is at her discretion. I know absolutely nothing about engineering and do not want to advance you faster than that you are capable of. That will again put you and others lives in Jeopardy.”

Kanina tilted her head but didn’t respond. She was taking on more of a role as a mediator, to help Blaze better understand his emotions. She didn’t plan to ask questions until she had a full understanding of the event that caused the meeting.
-Kanina Dran, CNS

“Ah. Well. Counselor. Do you think we should bring in the Engineering Department Head into this conversation or wait until we have a firm grasp on what is going on first?

“In a moment Captain.” She could tell they were close to finding the root of the problem.

Turning back to Blaze. “I feel that you are more than ready to do the programmers course but I feel that that is a waste of time and all that it is going to do is just dot the I’s and cross the T’s. If we do this I want you to know that for the first part of the course and maybe for the entire course until you get into the advance courses that this will be very simple for you and very boring. But you must do it and do it right in order to progress further. I am after all assuming all of this since you were already able to hack in Starfleet Records and Personnel system and create your own file. If you can do that then this course will be a breeze.”

Captain Chris Taggart, CO

Blaze looked at the captain “ I under stand it will be boring at first but I am here because I wanna do this right. True I did hack my way into star fleet on a dare but I feel like I need to prove myself more then any one in engineering and once again I have grown I have found the balance and I have stared taking care of my self and you’ve said I have been learning at a speed that rivals warp” he said as he relaxed more.

Ensign Alex Blaze (Engineer)

Ah. There it is. “Alex, you feel that you need to prove yourself by doing better. By doing more. Lieutenant Marshall wants you to do well first.” Kanina paused to let that sink in.
-Kanina Dran, CNS

Blaze looked at her “I felt like that before but not in a long time. ever since I started to take care of myself making sure I eat make sure I sleep making sure I have a balanced life on board. everything has became a whole lot better and I have been doing extremely well and all the basic engineering tasks. But I feel like there is a line that she is not letting me cross To where she will fully except me as a engineer in her department. Frankly it’s Making me feel like I have not improved anything. every time I do work she always has to double check it. Even basic things and even when everything is fine she doesn’t say anything about it But I’ve seen people in engineering who has done the exact same thing as me and she congratulate them like they just won the Nobel peace prize. It just makes me feel like she does not except me at all” he said as he lowered his head to the table and rested it there.

Ensign Alex Blaze (Engineer)

Kanina hummed lightly, listening more to Alex’s mind than his words. “We can call Lieutenant Marshall now.” Her black eyes gleamed slightly unsettlingly as she gazed straight at Taggart.

Kanina looked back to Alex, fixing him in her gaze. “She has a great deal of concern for you. Your well-being, your stress levels, even your social struggles. Your need to prove yourself, to succeed, has blinded you to it.” He recognized it unconsciously, enough for her to pick up on it from his mind.
-Kanina Dran, CNS

“I do not think calling in Lt. Marshall will help at this time. After having listened more to your words Counselor, I think that there is more of a mental block to Blaze then anything. We will try and tackle that first and if not then we will have a conversation with Miss Marshall in Private Counselor. But for right now, I think we are making headway and should focus on that.” (Mainly because she is LOA until the end of the month.)

Kanina acquiesced silently, although she still thought mediating between Alex and Lt. Marshall would be beneficial.
-Kanina Dran, CNS

Turning to Blaze. “Blaze. You matter. You matter to everyone here that knows you. Really knows you. You are indeed making strides faster than Warp speed but that just might be the thing holding you back. Hell, there are times when I fail still and just now I did it in front of everyone on the bridge. My failures can cost everyone on this ship their very lives and in some areas, so can yours. Just be more patient and thrive. Every single person and being on this ship and in Starfleet had to crawl, walk, run. You may be able to run in some areas but are still crawling in others. Even though it is boring and slow going, you still need to follow the training regime that she has made for you.....With the added training of Programmer that I will give you to fill out. I have a friend that does this work and will submit the answers to him for review. How does that sound? my fellow Fellowship of the Warp companion?” He said smiling a bit.

Captain Chris Taggart, CO

Blaze smiled “As a Ranger of the fellowship of the warp I will like this will be best” at this moment his stomach groaned loudly. He sees the food just setting there. He quickly wiped the drool away “Do you mind if I big in I was so upset yesterday I forgot to eat” he pulled a pad from his pocket “let he send the shut off Single to the other pad really Quick”

(Yesterday a few people tried to find him because he programmed a pad and hooked it up to a tricorder to Broadcast his bio reading in an area he was not close to)

Ensign Alex Blaze (Engineer)

Blaze then looked at the counselor “not to act all rude or anything but I really don’t appreciate you probing my emotions without my permission because you did not get my consent to do so” he said With a angry tone. The only thing your abilities God for him was multiplication and equations nothing about his emotional state or what he was feeling. “ I had a kid in my class that was just like you. Getting into our minds me and my friends find a way to stop the intrusion”

Ensign Alex Blaze (Engineer)

Kanina blinked at the animosity, and without her training, she would have taken a step back. “I am in accordance with all restrictions imposed by Starfleet.” The math made her dizzy, and she swayed minutely before planting her feet.
