Kanina emerged from her office (Once a spare parts room, but the storage was hidden easily enough) into the lack of hustle and bustle of the 13th deck. If nothing else, She thought, the remoteness is good for doctor-patient confidentiality. Deck 13 housed the shuttle control and storage rooms, so she only got the odd ensign wandering around when she wasn’t expecting an appointment. Or on the more notable occasions, two ensigns wandering around in search of seclusion… “to play 3d chess, of course, nothing untoward going on here doctor. Erm, counselor.” Ah well, at least there were turbolifts rather than stairs, walking would have made her next trek rather arduous. Kanina took the turbolift to deck 5, entering sickbay with the air of a woman on a mission. She easily caught the first nurse she recognized, greeting him with a smile. “Nurse Thay, I’m here for my physical if it isn’t too inconvenient.”

Thay looked up from his desk with a grin, “Not at all Doctor Dran. Take a seat on the biobed behind me, I’ll let Doctor Symar know you’ve arrived.” Thay disappeared behind a door and left Dran to get ready. Several minutes later, Doctor Symar, a slender looking Vulcan with the patented crop of hair stepped out from the office and arched an eyebrow at the newcomer, “Doctor Kanina Dran, I presume?”

-Lieutenant Symar: Chief Medical Officer-

“Indeed, Doctor Symar. It’s my pleasure to meet you.” She smiled up at the Vulcan from her seat on the biobed. “I trust you’re finding the Chernov to be an adequate work environment?”
