(snip!)

— T’Aria, XO

Symar gestured for T’Aria to exit the turbolift in front of him and fell into step beside her, “My father has recently been experiencing difficulties with the Pon Farr, more specifically, going through the Pon Farr several times in the space of what would usually be the normal period. so I often return to Vulcan to attempt treatments I have come across during my research.”

-Lieutenant Symar: Chief Medical Officer-

T’Aria shot Symar a sympathetic look but made no mention of his father’s… uncomfortable condition. She stiffened. It was a private, often unspoken topic that she intended to keep between them. “Have your treatments alleviated his symptoms?” She asked, concern touching her tone. The question led them to her door where she turned to face her companion. “Would you care to join me for tea, or is this where we’ll part ways?”

— T’Aria, XO

“Unfortunately,” Symar said, “The treatments I have come up with so far only relieve my father’s symptoms for a short period.” As T’Aria approached the door to her quarters and asked the question of him, the Vulcan inclined his head and added, “Tea would be.... favourable.”

-Lieutenant Symar: Chief Medical Officer-

T’Aria wore a hint of a frown, abstaining from her habitual ‘how can I help?’ She was a physician, yes, but hearts were structured a little different than brains. “Please,” she cocked her head to the door that swished open before him, “come in.”

Frigid, whitewash halls gave way to an oasis. Tapestries of varied shades of crimson clung to the walls, their golden tassels pining for the rugs below. Around the bend, couches were replaced by ample embroidered cushions and low-rise wood tables. A subtle, salty scent wafted to the air, nostalgic for anyone who knew the Voroth Sea.

“Have a seat,” T’Aria lifted a hand to the cushions. “What’s your flavour of tea?”

— T’Aria, XO

Symar inclined his head in thanks and stepped across the threshold into the room. Once asked, he took a seat at the first of the low rise tables and said, ‘There is a blend from my home in the mountains that I find stimulates concentration in an effective way, may I program it into your food replicator?’

-Lieutenant Symar: Chief Medical Officer-

“Hmm,” T’Aria released a sharp, inquisitive breath and stepped aside, “by all means.” Herbal remedies fascinated T’Aria in her youth, but she admittedly knew little about them. So, with a great deal of interest dancing in her eyes, T’Aria went to fetch a pair of teacups.

Crossing over to the replicator, Symar added, “I found that when my Father sampled this particular blend during the early stages of his treatment, he seemed to be able to control his emotions in a stronger fashion than before.” The CMO handed the CO a cup and sat, legs crossed, at the table in his room.
