T’Aria would be fooling herself to suggest she knew more than an inkling about engineering. But, she’d endured enough house calls to pick her way around the ship’s bowels. Shattered bones. Explosions. Kabobs à la Ensigns. It was never a dull day when an engineer comm’d Sickbay. She trusted that much hadn’t changed.

But T’Aria wasn’t interested in playing OSHA. The crew’s wellbeing and safety were her utmost concern… but she wasn’t pursuing Engineering to grill them on cleaning procedures or whether they’re using the latest PPE to defend against unstable particles. (Though she’d have a proverbial bone to pick if they weren’t.) Instead, she was stopping by to greet Lovejoy and her staff with the most Vulcan of “hello”s… a surprise visit.

T’Aria slipped into engineering and promptly stepped aside to allow a hurried Ensign to pass. She lingered a moment, then ventured deeper into Deck 11. She chose not to interrupt anyone, instead languidly searching for the Chief Engineer while observing their day-to-day procedures. Quiet observations often granted the best insight.
