He kept quiet during the ride from Betazed Spaceport a took a small nap as the crew informed him that they were arriving and closing to land on the Chernov. The shuttle approached the massive vessel as they were giving instructions for landing on the ship. He kept quiet as he gathered up his gear as the shuttle came in for a landing in the massive shuttle bay of the Chernov. Pawl has never seen such a massive vessel like that before. He kept quiet as they landed the shuttle. “Deck pressurizing.” the pilot commented. Pawl disengaged his belt then stood up and stretched briefly as he gathered what he had of belongings which was a duffle back and a briefcase. He was wondering if he would meet anyone here from the staff or if he would have to seek them out to get his introduction out of the way and evaluations are done too. as he read over the info packet that was sent from Starfleet for him to understand protocols. “thank you gentlemen he said to the pilot and co-pilot as they prepped the shuttle to leave to go home without him now. after letting him off and he moved to the double doors to the bay airlock as he entered the door and closed it behind him as the ship started its routine of scanning him before the light turned green to let him in officially. As he heard the shuttle bay depressurize again as he heard the shuttle leave. Pawl sighed briefly as the other doors opened into a corridor with no one around? He did not realize that they were orbiting the pleasure planet of Risa. He looked around as he moved to intake. As the room was relatively empty. As he moved a yeoman greeted him. “Welcome aboard Pawl I am your guide to get you settled in and get you to your appointments.” The rather young lady spoke kindly. “Permission to come aboard?” Pawl said kinda silly and moot point now. All she could do was smile politely. “Granted sir!” she smiled as he took the man by his hand for a moment. “follow me, sir.” She said as they started down the corridor. “I see you are our new engineering officer?” She said as they moved towards a lift. as she tapped the call button. “We will drop your gear off quickly then start with your appointments.” she said kindly as the lift doors opened to an empty car. as they entered the lift he grabbed one of the handles as she grabbed and twisted it, “deck two.” She called as the lift took off to its new destination. “We placed you in a stateroom on deck 2 for VIPs. All of this with your arrival and came so fast there were no standard jo quarters available at present.” Moments later the lift stopped as the doors opened showing a sign deck two with other signs too. Pawl ignored them for the time being and followed her to his room so he could drop his gear. And start his series of appointments. and tour of the ship after that was done. “Here we are deck two section 4 room 7.” she said with a smile as she motioned him in as she stood aside from the entryway. “Set your belongings down for now pawl you can deal with unpacking later.” as she waited for him to do as she wished. Pawl took a brief glance around the cabin before dropping the gear down by the door and turned and exited the room again as the doors closed and locked. “the room is yours now.” she said as they made their way to the lift to see the captain. they entered the lift again as they entered she grabbed the handle and twisted” Bridge.”
it took no time to get where they needed since they were one deck off. As the lift stopped again and the doors opened to a big room with plenty of computers and other officers there two. “Captain this is PAwl Batario our new J.O. in engineering.” She introduced him. “REport for duty as ordered.” Paul said quickly as he waited for the officer to take his padd.Ensign Pawl Batario Jo Engineering Officer
Chris looked at the JO. “Ah! Our Betazoid officer. Good. Glad you could make it Pawl. If you don’t have anything for me, then report to your Department Head and to Sickbay. Maybe even see the XO of you have time. Again. Glad you’re on board.” He looked at the PaDD in his hand to make sure the calculations were correct. Chris has a full head of brown hair, one blue eye and the other covered by an eye patch. That side also showed scars. His right hand was metal as his whole right arm and right leg were cybernetic.
