While there is nothing to do in engineering, she thought that it was best to have a meeting with her Junior Officers so she ended up calling her Junior Officers. [o] Engineerings Blaze, Batario, and Rilynath. Please report to the Mess Hall for a engineering meeting. [o] She paged her officers to come and meet her there. She noticed that the fact that she has two new officers, though as a DH, she’s not going to hovering over them. As the CE of the Chernov, she will have to stay in engineering and delegating their jobs so they know what to do.

As she sat there, she was doing her own research on what they could do on upgrades to the ship. Although, being a chief engineer on board, it’s best that she discusses it with her engineering team. Knowing that they have worked hard enough, she thought it would be nice to have a meeting with her junior officers. Knowing that the fact having her junior officers there, it’ll help her not be so overwhelmed and able to help them as well.

As she was thinking about upgrades to the ships systems, she was worried that things won’t go as planned. When and if her team will come to the mess hall to discuss things, would be duly noted. Although, being an engineer, she may not know a lot of things, she is more than willing to hear her teams ideas and suggestions. Though, She not 100% sure if it’ll be worth the while to discuss things.

Though with the ideas and suggestions that her team would be much appreciated. The idea of having a team of her own is something that can help out a lot cause she didn’t want to have her team to be so stressed out with all the work that they have been going through. Knowing the fact that Lovejoy was very shorthanded, she is very happy to have a team to have to help her with engineering stuff. With the fact that it was just her and Lt. Blaze for quite some time, they had to do everything. But now the fact that it is her, Blaze, Batario, and Rilynath helping out on it now, Blaze and Lovejoy doesn’t need to take on more responsiblities.

Chief Engineer Lovejoy

Pawl got the call to report to the engineering meeting room. So he signed off his terminal as he stood gave a small stretch then headed to the room. He was the second one there as he saw the chief was there already. “Hello, chief?” Pawl said with a small smile as he looked to take a seat. “Is there assigned seating? Chief?” Pawl asked politely. Waiting for an answer.

She then looked up “No there is no assigned seating. It just us four working in engineering. So we’ll have to work it ourselves.” She said. “Although, it’s not gonna change much though.” She added.

Chief Engineer Lovejoy

“Of course Chief.” PAwl said kindly as he took a seat and waited for the others. He thought himself 4 others. he thought to himself He assumed the chief and himself and 2 others. “Nice place for a meeting.” PAwl attempted small talk.

Lt Jg Pawl Batario - Jo Engineer

“Well Lt. It’s the only best place that I can do our meetings at. I would ask the captain if we could use the meeting room that we have.” She said.

Chief Engineer Lovejoy

Pawl nodded in understanding as he fell quiet. “I understand sir!” He said not sure what to say or do next so he sat there quietly till the others arrived.

She then go to the comms again and said [Will Lt Blaze and Ensign Rilynath come to the mess hall for an engineering meeting.[o] She said. She was a little concerned that the others hasn’t heard her thing the first time.

Chief Engineer Lovejoy

“Would you like me to get some water for the meeting? Maybe a small snack?” Pawl offered as they waited for the others to arrive. PAwl was curious about the chief’s background was she human or other? She seemed to be closed off to him. but he was not trying to pry into her mind. But she was rather quiet to him.

“Of course Lt. Go ahead. It’s always good to have something like that. And also I do apologize if I seem off. The others aren’t here for the meeting. It’s not like my junior staff to not be here for a meeting for engineering at all. This is rather unusual.” She said to him as she was wondering what is going on with her junior staff.

Chief Engineer Lovejoy

“I will be right back chief.” Pawl said with a smile. Pawl stood up went down the corridor and gathered a tray a pitcher of cold water, a bucket of ice, and some simple snacks for the meeting. He grabbed everything from the food synthesizer. He came back and placed the tray on the table for the arrival of the others. “Well, here we are.” As he poured a glass of water over ice and took a seat. “Would you like anything Chief?”Pawl asked her.

“What we got?” she asked cause she doesn’t really always leave the engine room.

Chief Engineer Lovejoy

“Well, there are some donuts, cookies and cheese, and crackers. Some small finger sandwiches. I am glad they’re not made of fingers. there is ham and cheese, ham, bologna, tuna.” Pawl said kindly to her with a cheeky grin. “There is water to drink and some ice too. I can go get something more to drink like some OJ or lemonade or tea?” pawl offered Also if you rather have something else to eat I can go get that for you chief.” Pawl said quickly.

Blaze entered the area took a seat fast and went back to working on a pad that was displaying gibberish “ chief can we get this meeting started I have a full day of programming Errors and software updates and hardware needing software to use it” he said as he fixed the pad and he put in in his bag.

Lt. Alexander Blaze (Programmer)

“Wow!” Pawl said quietly at the rater the officer flew in. He did not say any other words at this point. feeling if he disturbed the man he might get lost or upset with him. He briefly looked to the chief and then back to the table top as he got lost in the surface of the table. Pawl’s smile faded into nothing as other thoughts invaded his mind of his family and lack of friends.

“Sorry Lt. Blaze, but since we have more people to working in engineering. I was going to suggest we’d discuss about upgrading our systems. But I respect you have other things to do so if you need to go and take care of those now go right ahead. I’m not gonna let you stay here and not get to them. So you have every right to walk up and leave. I’ll have a PaDD with everything we will discuss. I’ll then have it beamed to your quarters if you’re okay with that. It’ll be easier and better for you.” She said to the Lt very calmly.
