After Will got onto the transporter pad, he materialized onto the Klingon Bird of Prey. There stood a big and burly Klingon warrior and some of the security detail. “I am Captain Pa’tath. Follow me to our interrogation room.

William only inclined his head. Internally there had been a struggle, he hadn’t been sure which face he should put forward for this. After a great deal of debate, something else was steering the ship today, neither Will nor William had the skillset required to lie and charm the Klingon Captain. So the third would be let out of their cage for the moment.

After a bit they came to what appeared to be a Federation standard conference room and they all sat down and the Captain pointed to a chair directly across from him. “Now. What in Celestia are you doing here ahead of schedule? We had a plan and if it gets ruined, then before I die, I will make sure that you do and slowly at that.” He looked crossed and stern at Commander Grey.

Will sat down, crossed his legs, and smiled. The smile was that of arrogance and conceit, his whole body was relaxed. He folded his hands over his lap, right hand on top for easier access to his weapon. His smile and the way he sat gave the impression that he was bored and unimpressed “Did you honestly expect us to trust Klingons with a Recon assignment?” He asked but didn’t wait for an answer “If anyone discovers our presence they won’t look past the smooth foreheads and rounded ears. Your government will be up in arms about the Federation messing around on Quonos again” He said again with a cruelly amused tone “It won’t do much to go against our plans. He picked up the PaDD he’d brought with him, lazily reading for a moment “But since I’m here why don’t we go over some of the finer detail” He tried to give the impression that he wouldn’t care either way.

The Captain glared at him for a moment before erupting into laughter, which then made the other Klingons laugh. “I like you! I really do. You are a bold one and I respect that Sub-Commander Telem. My name is Captain Pa’tath of the House Duros. That messing around by the Federation was the last straw. Our leaders are weak to allow that Kirk fellow to do what he did! No more mister nice Klingon! With your help, we will overthrow the current regime and I will be placed in charge and usher in a new era of power and conquest. I will also be establishing a trade route and peace treaty of the sorts with the Romulans. Together, our two forces will conquer and control all of the Galaxy and then the Universe. But before we begin with the nitty gritty of the operation…why are you disguised as a human?” He then leaned in to hear the answer.

Will shrugged “They are one of the easiest species to disguise as, fewer redundant organs, simpler neural activity, and even simply manipulating cell structure allows us to create human-colored blood and we can slightly irradiate it during operations to hide any Romulan DNA” He waved a dismissive hand “If our little recon team is captured it won’t be alive but focus will shift towards the Federation and their pet homeless Vulcans “Regarding your plan, my major concern is Federation interference, they have an annoying habit of sticking their” He flashed a vicious smile and said in a broken accented Klingon “Smooth foreheads” He switched back to standard, using the translator as the go-between again “where they don’t belong and you know that if they whisper poison in the right ears the whole Empire will rise against us” He was asking a risky question, it was clear to him that the reason the admiral’s daughter was kidnapped was to make sure that the Federation wasn’t going to interfere in this Coup’deta, which ironically was the reasons the Federation was interfering.

The Klingon captain gave a harumph. “That is very true and that is why we kidnapped their leading Admirals daughter. We have studied this Admiral for some time with our intelligence operative at the Academy area. He is very weak minded when it comes to prioritizing conflicts meaning, can he sacrifice his daughter or carry out the mission? It appears giving his records and tests, that he can’t and so will have to give command over to the Admiral next in line, Admiral Wensly, who is not as good tactfully and a bonus for us. Another added bonus would be that the Admiral will continue to interfere in the new Admirals plans in order to safeguard his daughter better and it might lead to an altercation between the two. Again, our informant will see to that by as you put it so nicely, by whispering poison in his ear when they are alone and feed the Admiral false data. This will buy us some time to out maneuver them and strike hard and fast since the new Federation ships are better and stronger than our own. Specifically the new modifications put on the USS Chernov and the USS Enterprise. Kirk was just here and we fended him off, but the Chernov is a battle hardened and tested battlecruiser captained by a human named Chris Taggart. We have all of his information plus some of his crew. Not all but the most important thing is that we have the schematics to his new and improved Chernov. We will send that over to your ship so you can peruse it. What do you think of our plan?”

William tapped a few notes on the PaDD, just key words he knew how to spell in Romulan to keep up appearances, he didn’t need physical notes “Yes, the Romulan Star Empire has had interactions with the Cher-Nov” He said, and looked at the Klingon. He didn’t dare ask about the location of the admiral’s daughter, he couldn’t push his luck, the Klingons giving them information on the Chernov was an added bonus, knowing what they had on the ship and crew could prove useful “As far as we can tell Kirk’s Enterprise is on an exploratory mission, they should be out of interference range for some years. I don’t have any information on the Cher-Nov more recent than a few months.” He waved a dismissive hand “Federation and humans aside are there any further operational risks?” He asked.

CSO, 2O

“I would very much love to get my hands on the Chernov and its crew, but I want that ship! But that is a dream. Reality is here and now. As for operational risks, just the Emperor and the High Council. We will take care of them with your help.” He motioned for one of his crew and they went and turned on the holoprojector on the table. It showed the main city of Qo’noS and then zooming in on an outlying part of the city was another warehouse. “That is where we will meet up and give you some of the explosives. We will dress you all up and disguise you as a Klingon. Just wear the cloaks and head coverings and you will be fine.” The map zoomed in again showing the way to the Great Halland then the Great Hall itself. “Then we all will move to the Great Hall. My men on the inside will get us all past security for the first few levels. To get to the Main Chamber where the Great Houses and the Emperor are, requires the blade of someone skilled. ME. I will get us in there and that is when we all split up and set the charges, then leave, then detonate! and meet back up at the warehouse. Any questions?”
