”..You would need to bring a head each of those slain to my guard Captain in the Blood On The Vine Inn is where he would be a this time of night. He would see fit your compensation..” The guard said opening the gate. “..Be warned if you don’t do as you say punishment will find you..” He stated omeniously.

Crelle nearly laughed. A cold and callous response and a pittance for doing this ingrates dirty work.

“Don’t threaten us peasant for doing your job!”

“Come on. Let us kill some Zombies,” Mwezi muttered, stalking ahead of the group through the gate and taking a deep breath of the air within the town, letting his senses guide him to any scent of undeath. He didn’t like the sound of undead spreading their undeath. He lightly fingered his concealed phaser, thinking that if he could get them somewhere he wouldn’t be seen by the locals, some good old fashioned phaser fire would do the trick to kill them.

Crelle saw the Lieutenant walk away and immediately followed. She knew solo officers in a situation where close combat could spell death was never a good idea, even if they weren’t already in a mood.

He took another deep sniff of the air, tracking any strong smell of death and running with fast strides ahead of the rest of the group, deep into the town.

Mwezi, CTO

No way was Crelle keeping up with him at that gait. She was a caitian, but her features were mostly humanoid outside her face. This was going to be a long day. Tracking the Lieutenant, Crelle drew her cutlass and began the trek to the village after her hotheaded friend of a Lieutenant.

Bridie smiled at the CSO, “Guess we are hunters now.” She, too, felt the comfort of her phaser on the thigh strap under her skirt, but she also knew she would be able to just brandish it. Instead, she pulled the short sword from the sheath on her hip and laughed. “It’s no bat’leth but I think I can manage to keep the ‘pointy end away from me’,” she laughed and followed the group in, though found herself bringing up the read with a couple others. It wasn’t out of fear of the front dangers. It was a fear of what would creep up behind them.

She felt bad for Mwezi. He was taking the worst of it here. It seemed there were others similar to his kind here in this place. But they were apparently as far beneath his development as the humans were beneath the Captain and crew. It wasn’t their fault, they just weren’t as advanced. And just like the crew had to play dumb, the poor CTO had to play the ‘pet beast’ to the Captain.

She wished, now, that she had gotten to know him better before this. And promised herself to get to know him better afterwards. She was still torn between her feelings for the Captain and her confusion about the Doc. But either way, Mwezi was close to the Captain. He deserved to know her as a friend and not a foe at worst, and bothersome pest to the Captain at best.

She kept her sword low and moved with the group into the town and sighed as the gate moved further away from them.

Chris did not like how Mwezi left the group like that. “Blaze! Follow Mwezi! No one goes alone. We will pair up and meet at the Blood of the vine Inn in two hours. Remember to bring their heads! Bridie! You are with me!” He then drew his medieval long sword and went in the opposite direction of Mwezi in a well balanced stride.

Lord Taggart CO Fellowship of the Warp

Taggarts reactions and orders didn’t surprise her any. But his insistence of her at his side, did. “I… yes, Sir,” she recovered before most would have noticed. She kept her blade down and jogged after him.

She was silent for a few moments before speaking. “You should have a security officer with you, Chris… not me…” Her voice was low so no one nearby would hear her. He was the Captain and needed far more protection than she felt capable of. If something happened while he was with her…

She let the thought drop of swiftly in the darkness and walked just behind to his right, her head constantly glancing backwards.

William resisted the urge to bury his head in his hands. He moved his coat to the side revealing a short blade which he then drew, he allowed himself a brief smile, this was the only weapon he was moderately skilled at, he could barely hit the side of a barn with a phaser and he knew for a fact that he was useless in a fistfight but a sword, well he knew how to use one of these. He did, however, unfasten the phaser from its holster in his bag to make it easier to fetch it if necessary. While his hand was in the bag he discretely grabbed his tricorder, knelt down and started a scan cycle for any organic signatures in the area, he didn’t much believe in these so-called ‘Zombies’ but just in case he decided that a broader search was in order.
