<snip>About this time, Kirshara walked into the room. It was clear he was a Vulcan because of his ears and the lack of any emotion. Walking up to the Chief Science Officer he repored, “Excuse me, sir… Lt.(j.g.) Kirshara reporting for duty; may I be of assistance?

Riss’s antennae turned and faced the new arrival, but his head didn’t move. Unlike most Andorians, the CSO was albino. As he continued tapping on the comms panel. “Depends. What is your background in nanotechnology?” and then his head whipped up and pale blue eyes seemed to bore into the Scientist. “OH! Do you know Morse Code?” he asked excitedly.

The Vulcan looked at his superior with puzzlement in his eyes; he responded, “Sir, if memory serves me, Morse Code is an ancient form of earth communications. I remember a class on it at Starfleet Academy.”
Kirshara
The CSO looked at the newly arrived Scientist and said “Thats what it is, but do you know it?” he asked as he kept tapping away at the comms.

Solark raised his eyebrow. The Vulcan scientist would obviously remember the class at the Academy. He kept quiet just to see how his fellow Vulcan would answer.

“Are we ready to implement the plan?” Solark asked. “We will need to inform the Captain and do this as soon as possible. The away team might be in danger.”

IC: Riss looked at Solark and said “I believe we are ready, Sir.”

=/\=Bridge we are standing by with a message to transmit to the away team.=/\= Solark said after tapping his commbadge.
“We’ll transmit and see if anyone responds. If not we wait two minutes and transmit again. Would that be acceptable?” asked Solark.

Riss double-checked everything and made sure that all was set. He absentmindedly nodded in the affirmative to the question.

Solark waited patiently for the bridge to respond.

Riss looked at Solark, nodded, and said “On your command, we are set.” and poised his finger over the console.

“Hold on Lieutenant,” said Solark. “We need to clear with the bridge as per regulations.”
OOC: Sorry. I am just as impatient but CO needs to give the okay.
