James was about done with his shift. His first day was Interesting to say the less. As he turned the corner a crewman fell into his arms his throt and his face was Swollen. James tapped his com =/\= Ensign Wolf to Sick bay Medical emergency deck 14 Sector 41 a crewman Jackson is having a Severe allergic reaction =/\=

Ensign James Wolf (Security)

=/\= Sickbay here, I am en route, ETA 55 seconds =/\= Tauren grabbed an emergency medkit, and walked quickly out of the bay. “Computer, medical emergency, priority override to turbolift direct from my location to Deck 14 Sector 41,” he spoke as he approached the nearest turbolift. Without breaking stride, he entered just as the doors opened, and shut behind him. On the short trip, he opened the medkit, and selected the hypospray with Epinephrine preloaded, so that when the door opened, he was already ready to give the shot. “Computer, illuminate path to location of Ensign Wolf,” he instructed, just before the doors opened.

Hypospray in hand, and with the path lit, Tauren took little time before arriving at the location, and visually confirming the likely issue, injected 0.3 mg of Epinephrine via hypo into the stricken crewman’s neck. Time elapsed, exactly 54 seconds.

With the immediate emergency passed, Tauren now took out his tricorder to see if there were any other complications, while the crewman’s ability to breathe was quickly restored to normal. “Good reaction, Ensign,” he said, not looking at the security officer directly but clearly addressing him. “Would you assist me bringing this man to sickbay for observation?” Then to the crewman, “just a routine precaution, and to identify the allergen.”

Then, and only then, did he actually look at Ensign Wolf. “You have an unusual name, Ensign,” he observed neutrally. Vulcan facial features did not usually accompany a human name.

-Tauren

James looked at him “ I am only part Vulcan my father died at Wolf 359 he was not married to my mother at the time so my mom named me” he said as he helped the crewmen to sick bay. “There is some type of food on the floor around the corner. I believe he was eating it when he had his Reaction” he said to the doc.

Ensign James Wolf (Security)

“Possibly,” Tauren allowed. “I will stablize the crewman, please obtain samples of the food and bring it to sickbay so we can confirm the allergy.”

-Tauren

Wolf kneeled down by the food and grabbed it with a baggy and help carry the crewmen to sick bay with the baggy still in hand. The food the crew man was eating looked like a candy bar from DS9 area A greedy Ferengi tryed to sell him some they wrapper was in Ferengi so maybe the crewmen could not read it.

Ensign James Wolf (Security)

Once in sickbay, Tauren looked at the wrapper briefly, then turned to the food remnant. “Computer, analyze sample one and cross reference to the crewman’s medical file, allergies. Also, translate the packaging and display on screen.”

-Tauren

The computer beeped =^= there is 19 Allergens that matches crewmans file........the wrapper says nothing to make Sense =^=

Ensign James Wolf (Security)

An eyebrow on Tauren’s face slowly raised. One match was entirely expected; it was a confirmed allergic reaction in the first place. Two would be an unlikely coincidence. But to match 19 separate allergies on a patient’s profile, that was either a patient allergic to everything, or something designed to harm the patient.

“Computer, please list all of the patient’s known allergies, and highlight the nineteen matches by flashing them,” he instructed, then turned to the Security officer. “It is… somewhat unlikely to be allergic to so many different ingredients of one food item simultaneously. I can only deduce one of three logical reasons, and this screen will either confirm or eliminate the most benign of these.”

OOC: Dunno what your original intent was, so I left an out either way… if he’s got hundreds of allergies, then it’s not foul play, but if he has, like, 20, then logically, it’s either a botched murder or suicide attempt.
