Morganna listened as they began to make plans to counter attack should it be necessary “Could the away team disperse the altered nanites should it become necessary?” She asked.

CNS

“That maybe needed, but… I feel more like this whole scenario is going to be falling apart soon. This ship, something isn’t right. What if they want their organic portion back?”

Calin, CO

The CSO spoke up. “I have programmed the nanites we have to send a trojan to the ship. It will make the nanites view us and the Odin as non-hostiles. There is a secondary program that, when executed, will put them in a dormant state. The program should spread quickly once the nanites are put back into that environment. At least, it should.” he added.

Ch’ethyniq, CSO

Shrant was looking closly at his consoles “I am concerned if the Nanites get into our systems. We need to be able to ensure that we are locking them out whereever possible.”

CE

“I agree,” said Solark, “if we are viewed as friendly, it is not logical that we shut them out of our systems. Is there a subroutine present that would prevent the nanites from wanting to enter into our systems?”

Solark

“Anyway we can test this? I am not a fan of just releasing what could be a super computer virus that disables us. Maybe create a static environment not connected to any of our systems, see what steps it takes?” he asked them, unsure of how dangerous this could be he was worried the ship would self destruct if they didn’t take the precuations needed. “That way I feel far more comfortable doing this.”

Calin, CO

Riss replied “With Engineering’s assistance, we could fabricate a small computer network isolated from all other systems and see what a small sampling of the nanites do when allowed access.”

Riss, CSO

Shrant stood for a moment in thought, “We could set up a small computer network in the cargo bay. Power it by generator and ensure it has no networking ability. I would want to put up a containment field around the entire thing, What do we know about the structure and systems of their ship?”

Shrant
CE

Ch’ethyniq replied “Similar to the Borg, but no organic components.” His pale, white-skinned antennae twitched in the direction of the CE, but he didn’t look at her. “I would suggest that a rapidly and randomly modulating containment field would provide the necessary protection. Unless we were to add the secondary measure of a Faraday cage. That might be a good precaution to take. I can help assist in the construction, if you like.”

Ch’ethyniq, CSO

“As you have some ideas already down, I suggest that you get the preparations for the nanites going and we can get to action as soon as possible,” said Solark.

Solark

“Agreed, you and Ch’ethyniq prepare it, get as much aid as you can. Lets see if we can get our crew over also. I would rather to have a more controlled talk with them if things go south than potential hostages.”

Calin, CO

“Aye, sir,” replied Solark. “Let us get to it, Lieutenant.”

Solark

Shrant Nodded, “Ill set it up to secluded from main power or other systems, we don’t want them to be able to piggyback into our systems if they breach the containment field.”

Shrant
CE

Morganna looked at Rivar “Once we have contact, it may be worthwhile for me to try and speak with them. They will be confused and one person may be better to speak with them.” She suggested.

CNS

“We’ll take that into consideration,” replied Solark as he started to move his fingers over the ops display before him.

Solark

“Make it so, we will get them the aid we can. Do we have any other data? What possibly do we know outside of this? The data from the ships that first made contact, what did they have?”

Calin, CO

The CE and CSO managed to get the system set up. Solark had set up a simulation and the set up worked without a problem.

GM

The Vulcan (Solark) sent a signal to the CE and CSO that the simulation was successful.

=/\= Away team this is Captain Calin, what do you have for me=/\= Rivar said, wanting to get an up to date assessment from his team down below.

Calin, CO

Solark

Morganna sat down in her chair on the Bridge and waited to see if they were going to need her services.

CNS

The tactical team was able to keep a lock on them. It seemed that the Odin was able to beam them out.

GM

Solark waited patiently for developments.

Solark

“Okay, I think we have had enough here. I want them beamed up, have the team meet me up here but keep a lock on that ship. I want to get communiations with them and I want to get down to what just is going on here.”

Calin, CO
