A lithe hand rose to touch the braided crown on the back of her head. Her jet black was coiled in place with every strand perfect.
Her hand then ran down the front of her tunic. The invisible wrinkles were suddenly sufficiently dealt with.
And finally the new Chief Engineer took a deep breath and rounded the corner towards medical. The Department Head title was new to Lissi, but the engineering department certainly was not. The Lieutenant pips on her collar were smooth under her fingertip touch. She dropped her hands and stepped into medical. Moving past the sensors so the doors would close, the half Klingon female looked around the room to see who of rank would be able to do her intake.

A human male wearing the blue uniform of the Medical Section and Lieutenant pips on his collar walked past and stopped as the individual stepped in. With a dazzling smile and a friendly tone, he said “Oh. Yes. May I help you, Lieutenant?”

The smile was the first thing Ka’lissi noticed, then the pips. “Lieutenant Ka’lissi Rosh reporting for boarding physical, Sir. I’m the new Chief Engineer.” She knew with huge shops everyone didn’t know everyone. And the Medical Chief certainly wasn’t expected to be any different.

She have her own smile, but lineage quirks meant it looked more menacing than warm.

Siegfried extended his hand. “A pleasure. Dr. Abel. I am the Chief Medical Officer, only recently arrived myself. Please. Follow me and I will get you sorted.” and he walked the Engineer back to a vacant biobed. “Have a seat and then tell me…” and he pulled her record onto the PaDD he carried, “… any changes since your last exam, Lieutenant?”

Lissi nodded and shook the hand, her grip was a bit tight but immediately loosened as she realized it. “Well then, I guess we’ll learn this metal bucket together.” She moved to the biobed and settled herself on it with a slight shake of her head. “No, nothing since then. And only usual childhood issues.” She let him do as he needed, her eyes moving to scan the room. Despite being engineering, she knew she had to learn the whole ship eventually. Might as well start learning now. “Is this all there is to medical?” She motioned to the large room, unable to see around the corner, which, from her vantage, looked like the wall ending to the office beyond.
