“Ensign, please get a set of baseline vitals for the Lieutenant here, and I’ll be right over.” and he turned his attention to the two singed crewmen.

Understanding that the medical bay was busy this day, Lt. Kirshara said, “Computer active the EMH, please.”

A minute later a figure appeared…

“Please state the nature of the emergency” came the reply from the EMH.

Kirshara

Adeline’s face flushed a light pink again as she offered, “I can help you. I’m a doctor.” She scolded herself mentally as soon as the words came out of her mouth… that was not the most convincing start to her new role. After a moment, she dragged herself out of her scolding and collected a tricorder from a nearby station. She opened it and ran it carefully over the young Vulcan in front of her.

Ean slid off and looked over at the doctors. “I need to finish this…” the sounds would keep going, and they couldn’t get out. The smoke billowing out and the lack of anything ventilating worried him too. “If I can’t get these systems up and running this place may become our tomb.

Zol, Engineer

Adeline looked petrified as she processed the engineer’s words. It took all she had not to drop the tricorder that was occupying her trembling hand, but she took a deep breath and tried to steady herself so that she could address the Vulcan’s needs while the engineers and her superior solved that… disaster.

Abel finally said “Enough. Everyone. There is too much going on at once and nothing is getting done.” He looked at Zol and said “Get this smoking under control, and then get a repair team up here from engineering. You are not cleared for duty until you get a full examination after the shock you took, understood?” and he turned and looked at McGill. “Doctor, see to Lieutenant Kishara. Full baseline vitals and hormone profile. Once that’s complete, come find me and we can develop a treatment plan.” Looking at one of the attending nurses, he said “Get me the records for each patient, and someone tell me who authorized… ” and he gestured to the now smoking equipment and singed fabrics “… this without any notification.” He then looked at Zol and shook his head. =/\= Computer, ventilate bays 4, 6, and 8. =/\= and the ventilation systems kicked in and the smoke began to dissipate. Soon the only smoke was coming from the damaged equipment.
