What an evening. Sweet Italian spaghettis, a romantic film and just kissing, cuddling and hugging. For Ari, when he woke up, was still too early. He didn’t knew what made him wake up that early and he just sighed and sat on his bed.
“Eh? 5 a.m.?” He mourned “Welp…”
He knew he would have not slept in anyway again and so since he was already up he started his all-day routine: breakfast, bathroom, clothing. Then with still his coffe in hand he started roaming around the ship - deck by deck; he noticed how big the ship was and how much comforts were onboard
“So, If I marry Luna here, we will not have many issues.” He thought.

Some times after, the clock of his PaDD was telling him that it was 11:12 a.m. His coffe ended already 1 hour ago and he was still roaming around with his empty mug. Left the ceramic container somewhere on a table of the cafeteria, he was now rushing to get on time to his Boarding Physical: Deck 10, Turbo Lift, Deck 12. Now the aisle, now the corner and in less than 5 minutes he arrived in front of the orange door in time but sweating and with heavy breath.
“Sir? You okey?” Asked a nurse that was entering the MedBay, seeing the Officer struggling to get air.
“Yes! Woah, what a rush!” He replied.
The nurse with a curious look was looking feet to head Ari and asked whether he had some checks up to do or he was here for some kind of problems.
“I have a boarding physical. I’m the new CSO onboard.”
“Oh” she moaned of excitement “I’m Jessica, nice to meet you.”
“So… may you indicate me the CMO in charge?” Asked gently Ari to the nurse. “It is not possible. He is pretty occupied. But I can take you to another doctor good and efficient as the CMO!”
Ari understanding the matter just nodded and followed the nurse that indicated a man with the usual standard uniform. Before talking to him, Ari appreciated some minutes to look around: the Sick Bay was shiny and clean - seemingly the people weren’t that much and the nurse were relaxing. Instead there was this Doctor, looking to some graphs on the LCARS monitor on the left of the bay. Young and seemingly professional enough, he seemed a nice man too and Ari decided to interrupt his work Of course taking some precautions and looking first the graph and understanding just few of the words.
“May you excuse me?” He patted the man’s shoulder “I’m here for a boarding physical, a nurse told me to ask to you.”

“Aye, here for an exam?” Shaun said as he turned to face the man. Trill, but not full blooded form what he could wager. His spots didn’t quite match the captain, fewer and less pronounced. “Doctor Shaun Grecken, but you can just call ‘e Shaun.” he said with a full smile as he looked over the man, his voice low and slightly gruff despite his charming demeanor. Shaun was a little bit more scruffy than many doctors, his beard never quite properly trimmed and his hair always a little unkempt. It gave him an almost gruff look that seemed to almost match the thick Irish accent.

“Have a seat would ya, let me go get a PaDD and I can bring up your chart Mr… sorry didn’t catch your name.”

Grecken, Doctor

“Ari” replied the Lieutenant “Ari Kux Salemberger, Lieutenant Junior Grade and new CSO onboard. What is you your name, sir?” Asked while sitting on a nearby Bio bed. Comfy and blue as usual.

“If he didn’t mumble you would have heard Shaun but he does that thing,” she rolled her eyes as she handed Shaun a PaDD with the newest crew members info upon it. Yvonne Washington was the head nurse and just as sassy as her heritage led you to expect her to be. She was part of a long line of Washington’s that manned the fleets of Federation ships. Her cousin Rayvonne Washinton was stationed on the USS Manhattan while her other two cousins from her Auntie Belle, Lavonne and Sharevone Washington had just received a transfer to the USS Saracen. “He’s gonna claim it’s his accent,” she has a saucy tone to her voice, “but he just ain’t listenin’. An it’s coffee time and my show. You got dis,” she cocked an eyebrow at Grecken.

Nurse Yvonne Washington

Ari raised one of his eyebrows and wondered what this woman was sayin. Pretty much he did not understood a lot her accent and her moves seemed weird to the eyes of the Lieutenant.
“Aight, I guess?” He nodded

“You know, I am pretty sure I can get Ean to try and replace you with a hologram if you don’t stop acting up.” Shaun said as he took the PaDD from her as he looked over the information. “So Ari, anything you need to tell me about yourself that might not be on this file?” he asked as he looked up at the man, wondering what he might be able to tell him his past exams didn’t already.

Grecken, Doctor

Returning talking to the doc he was now going back to the past, then slowly returning to the present and told: “beside of what is written in my personal health records, when I was onboard the Tau we had a virus outbreak. Doctors said I was kinda okay, from a health prospective but someone insisted that I should have stayed another 30 days in the facility where I was established.” Pause “before boarding I had kinda some nausea… but today I’m okey. Still I would like to have an opinion and a check to ensure that the virus is not onboard with me anymore.”

Unfortunately the virus that Ari was talking about, killed 5 men and 2 women in that period with the outbreak on the Tau. Preferring making another check, Ari’s morale now was down thinking about those crewmen and women that have died for a mistake of his.
Reports said it was an accident, but Ari knew he was the one who perhaps made that accident, and felt all the responsibilities of those deceased good friends on his shoulder.

OOC: you may find just a little quantity of those virus that are not harmful anymore, but still is preferable to remove.

“Okay, let’s get your scan up and find out what we have here.” Shaun said as he pulled out his medical tricorder as he began to scan Ari over as he squinted. “There does seem to be some dead or dormant remnants. You seem fine but best we flush your system out, Nurse get me a an RNA inhibitor, we can make sure they are dead and get them out of your system no problem. Don’t worry you’re in great hands.” Shaun said with a large smile as he patted the young man on his back.

Grecken, Doctor

As the doctor said those words, Ari relieved and smiled too.
“What a nightmare when the outbreak started, doc.” He was now telling him the story “we were in three in the lab, and perhaps no one knew what was going to happen. Then later on, I was holding the canister containing the samples and opened it to take some… but no one told me that those plants produced gasses - instead it was written that they were simply a kind of colorful weed. Those gasses went straight on my face and then filled the whole lab. As someone screamed, other 3 guys entered and even the captain and the CE entered to see what was happening.”

“So you are the reason we had to take remedial training on the handling of caustic materials.” Shaun said as he looked over the PaDD as he began filling out information as they went along. “Don’t tell Katie that, or Chief of Security… she had to take that class three times cause she failed the first two tests. She was not happy to say the least, but good news for you this seems to be working.” Shaun said as he began to watch the numbers slowly go down as his count got lower.

Ari was now worried to encounter Mrs. Katie “o-oh…” he mourned “Aight, hope to not meet her as soon as possible, then.” He giggled “Really, maybe I’ll need to run to a shuttle if she finds it out.”

“Well you don’t have to live with her, I do… I have practically most of my life. She is my fiance’, but I knew her when I was very young, our fathers formed a business and we got very close and grew up together. So… if you want I can try to give you a warning if she finds out and comes after you.” Shaun said with a small smirk as he patted Ari on the back.

Useless to say that in the end, everyone that entered and the people in the adjacent corridors of the lab were put in quarantine for several months. Ari was sad whenever he thought about it, but it was life and life was what he was living even with his regrets.
“So we have finished, doc?” Asked Ari as the RNA inhibitor stopped to rumble.

OOC: Sorry for that lemme fix you right you.

IC: “Mostly, I do wanna do a check up maybe in a few days make sure the count stays low. You have any questions Lieutenant?” Shaun asked as he looked away from the PaDD at Ari.

Grecken, Doctor

OOC: it is ok! No worries. :p

“Hmm… Just for curiosity, how do the other DHs behave, I mean their character and stuff. It may help me understanding them better, than asking for certain behaviors.” Ari asked gently as the doc stared at him “yeah, also what do you think of me.” He smiled

“Well the CMO is the one I work with the most during work hours. Not a bad fellow, quiet overall but I enjoy him. As I said, Kate and I are engaged, she… she can be interesting. She is small in stature but she knows how to wrestle if she needs to but she more excels at just shooting first, that is where her aptitude shines the most. She is though in many ways your atypical Irish lass, easy to get along with but cross her and she will kill you. Luckily she is only half Irish, so she has a longer fuse than most, but don’t let the roots fool you the heart of a full blooded red headed Irish terror is there.” Shaun said as he paused to think about the others DH, the CE.

“Ah!” He moaned surprised “that’s good that irish mafia is almost gone…” he whispered as he immediately cleared his throat to correct himself and avoid any inconvenience “well, that’s cute that you are engaged, maybe once I know you two better, I might give you gifts of some kind. Yeah I’m full of weird but cool and interesting stuff. Like my beloved phaser fountain pen!”
He had two fountain pens - one was just to write, and dang if it wrote good! In the past, such Mont Blanc fountain pens could cost over a thousand euros/dollars. A guy from France gave him that relic in exchange of some Italian spaghettis.
Weird guy.
The other, similar to the black mont blanc pen, was instead a little phaser, that Ari built for fun on the other ship he served. Weirdly enough, he once forgot what was the true pen and indeed he shot the paper he was working on burning the table and the parquet. Not probably the best invention he made for practicality.

“As for our CE, she isn’t too bad I would say, but I don’t go down there often unless I am with Ean, he and I are close and he is the assistant Chief, which means most shifts he is on she is not. She you will just have to find out on your own.”

Grecken, Doctor

“I guess I will make friendship with those guys. If they are what I think, You will probably see a giant mechanic tribble with huge cannons all over his body.” He giggled and patted Grecken back “what about you, man? How can you define yourself?” He asked.
