Lissi stood up to follow. “I’ll go as well, maybe can get more information from transporters and definitely make sure they don’t have anything untoward on them.” She nodded to the Captain and took off at a jog to arrive ahead of the others.

Lissi

“Please do, I don’t trust this people as far as I can toss them out the airlock. Nothing about this hippy commune of space squatters sits well with me.” Calin said as he took a deep breath as he wondered if this was the right choice. He didn’t really like giving so much power away in this situation but at the same time he couldn’t just blast his way to answers.

“I’ll have the briefing room made ready Captain,” Mason said. “With Security posted at all points along the way so that they can get the idea we aren’t taking any chances.”

Cmdr Black, XO

Calin, CO

“Security teams are being deployed to all critical junctures with orders to act casual so that we do not appear menacing but are armed in case of emergency,” Kate replied to the XO tapping the last of her orders out on the console. Walking towards the turbo Kate couldn’t help but find the situation a bit funny. The two individuals coming aboard would be greeted by the three women only one of which looked at all threatening. The truth, however, was Kate could kill you seven ways from Sunday with armed with nothing more that dental floss and or a paperclip. Morgana could break you with without lifting and have you crying in a corner about something your mother did when you were five that made you this crazy before you knew it. Lissi while looking the intimidating part because she was Klingon was the deadliest of them all if push came to shove. As the chief engineer, she could turn you into a space popsicle by cutting off the heat or make you turn Andorian blue by shutting off your oxygen all while sipping her coffee a using only her big toe like someone lazily lying about in a hot bubble bath. Calin chose his group well. “Ladies,” Kate gestured towards the turbo.

Lt. Kate O’Neill COS

Morganna stepped onto the turbo lift “Transporter room.” She directed once everyone was on the lift “Okay ladies, be alert. She has already deceived us in our initial contact. We’re going to the diplomacy wing once we get them aboard. ” She said as the turbo lift stopped and the doors opened. A short walk down the hall and they were at the transporter room.

Stepping into the room, Morganna straightened her uniform over her very round form “Bring them aboard.” She said to the transporter operator. She stood with her hands folded in front of her, her deep dark eyes locked on the transporter pad.

The transporters showed some interesting facts about their visitors. The Ferengi was who he said he was. From their intelligence database, Gum was considered by the Ferengi a failure as a merchant. After a series of failed attempts to make a profit, he was shunned by his people. About three years before he disappeared without a trace.

The woman was unusual. She did not seem to be of any race the Federation had encountered before. The computer would continue to make analyses.

GM

As Ari followed ‘em in the room, he was there with a tricorder and science thingy.
Everyone and everything was silent in that moment, the only rumble was the ship usual sound and the bips of the computers processing stuff “Sooooo…? Hey! Welcome aboard the Odin! Yeah..” he stared to the woman.
Ari looked at the counselor’s eyes almost to say: what is she?? At the same time he waited patiently someone of the bridge to come in and hopefully talk to them more than he did.

Lieutenant Jr. grade Ari Kux Salemberger - CSO

OOC: The woman is not on the bridge but in the conference room. I’ll leave it to you to decide whether you are on the bridge or in the conference room … :)

IC:

Mason was watching the transport from one of the consoles and noted the report come through, and frowned. “Captain, the woman that transported over doesn’t register on our computers with her species, she appears to be an unknown.”

Cmdr Black, XO

GM

OOC: oh right! Sorry then! My fault…

IC: “Sir?” Called Ari to whisper with the XO “isn’t better to call our doctor here? Maybe he can visit the woman and tell something about her specie. Also with tricorders I can’t record that much.”
Then he looked to the Ferengi and added “also this being, this Ferengi. Let’s be aware of him, last time I met one they stole me a precious sample of some minerals I found on Trill.”

OOC: before it vanishes :p

OOC: Ah! I thought it was for the GM. It is for the XO, right?

GM

Mason looked at the young Science Officer and smiled slightly. “That is kinda what Ferengi do, it’s their thing. We have enough security down there to look after the area, and our sensors are locked on him so he’s not going anywhere without our knowing.” He looked back at the data and pursed his lips for a moment. “The computer can’t identify her and the transporter logs are inconclusive. Transfer the files to the CMO, he can make better sense of them in the sickbay than up here but for now, she’s slightly more of a concern than that Ferengi.”

Cmdr Black, XO

“Alright I will do.” Pressing some buttons and chirping some chirps, files were sent directly to the CMO office in queue to be checked and examined “you know, back time on Earth they used something called Bluetooth to send files over devices. Now with our technologies it is easier and faster.” He joked “Anyway, do you want that I take this couple somewhere? In the mean time can take more data to send to the CMO.” Asked the XO.

OOC: also yep it was for the XO! Sorry GM :p

Lieutenant Jr. grade Ari Kux Salemberger - CSO

“Lets let the Captain, Counselor and our other team see how the meeting in the Conference Room goes first.” Mason told his Science Chief, “I have a feeling we are about to get a better idea of who these people are, or at least what is going on here, in the meantime, what else can you tell me about the colony from here?”

Cmdr Black, XO

“Colony? What colony?” Ari asked his XO. Indeed you see, although he was boarded just few days ago, Ari was still not informed about the mission either for the lack of the time between of his duties or for his paper work he needed to compile and the reports to vision.

OOC: yeah, I would need a resume of the mission as I lost a bit of stuff due my shoulder problem that lead to multiple checks.

Lieutenant Jr. grade Ari Kux Salemberger - CSO

OOC: The Odin went in rescue of a freighter that was being attacked by a Romulan warbird. Then on tracking the enemy ship after they had fled, they were led to a part of the sector that was in no particular government’s control. There was a small planetoid with quite a number of ships orbiting it. They contacted the ‘colony’ and discovered a rag tag group of people from various systems who claimed that they had come to live here to escape the confines of the bureaucracy of their own governments. The leader was a woman who looked human but had a mind that was difficult to read, like a Ferengi. The Betazoid counsellor was not able to read her. They negotiated for a chance to meet with the Starfleet officers to understand what the Odin wanted.

GM

Ari went to the console and pressed some buttons. The ship’s sensor were making noises after which a bip warned about the situation on the planet underneath their belly. “So the inhabitants seems to be of various species and the colony is still there. Nothing had changed particularly and…” he looked better on the display “Nothing else to say about that colony. It is just all normal, beside some deep space fluctuation which are interfering with our ship.” Ari concluded. He just hoped that nothing important escaped his attentive eyes.

“May I ask why we came here to talk with these people?” Asked to the XO the question.

Lieutenant Jr. grade Ari Kux Salemberger - CSO

Samuel had slipped onto the Bridge quietly and listened to the conversations going on around him. “I think this planet is enough reason to talk to these people, Lieutenant.” Sam said as he stepped forward away from the turbolift. “But I doubt that’s the reason why we stopped here.”

Weir

Ari was new about everything aboard the ship, and surely he was new to unexpected person coming from behind to talk with him “Ugh!” He made almost freaking out for the brief scare “C-Can I help you?” He asked scanning at the foreign face of the Civilian that presented on the bridge “No, I’ma reformulate the question, what? This is just a normal planet… at least from the readings. I am missing something, Mr…?”

Lieutenant Jr. grade Ari Kux Salemberger - CSO

“No need to be frighten, Lieutenant.” Sam replied. “I’m Captain Weir, Intel Attache aboard temporarily.” Weir added, hoping the Science officer would settle down for a moment.

Ari calmed down and looked better the man. His scars and weird looking character made him a really mysterious man, perfect for his work as Intel attaché “hm. Ari, Ari Salmeberger.” He leant his hand to the weird figure “I’m looking forward to know you. Yeah.” He stared a bit Mr. Weir.

“The fact that this planet is well maintained without a government.... or shall I say protectorate is marvelous enough…”

Weir

“Uh. Interesting. So… you think there’s a protectorate? But that would be weird! What advantages gives this planet for a protectorate?” Asked to the Attachè Officer.

Lieutenant Jr. grade Ari Kux Salemberger - CSO

“Oh no… I’m excited about the lack of one.” Weir said to the CSO. “In this day in age, it’s difficult to maintain the stance that this planet has.” Sam added.

Hey let’s not forget about this thread!

Calin reentered the bridge after the meeting with the representatives with Chief O’Neill and Commander Salazar in tow as he surveyed the bridge. “Report, what do we have so far on scans?” Calin asked as he looked over the crew. He would need to relay all data soon but wanted to see what was going on since he stepped away.

Calin, CO

“Nothing new since you left, Captain.” Mason reported. “No notable activity from the colony or ships in orbit. How did your meeting with the locals go?”

Cmdr Black, XO

Solark entered the bridge and moved to replace the Ops NE at his station.

Solark

“Ahhh, Captain Calin…” Weir said as he approached the Captain. “I’m Captain Weir, Starfleet Intelligence.” Samuel stated. “I’ve been assigned as a temporary attache while I take care of some personal matters, it’s great to finally meet you.”

“Did they now?” Calin asked as he eyed Weir as he looked over at Mason. He wasn’t sure who the hell this man was, nor had he heard of this as of yet himself. “I take it you have the orders for this?” Calin asked as he moved past Weir as he took a seat at the Captain’s chair.

Weir

“No need to be paranoid now.” Weir stated as he followed the Captain to his chair and produced his orders. “I’ve been aboard for some time now, so it’s not like I appeared out of thin air.” Sam said with a smirk.

“I also don’t recall giving you permission to be on the bridge… is there a reason you needed to see us now Mr. Weir?” Calin asked, he wasn’t quite sure what the reasoning for the man when Starfleet told him but it had never been any bridge duties mentioned either.

“Still don’t know where the heck he could get on board, Captain.” Ari commented. As they were talking, the computer blipped and the screen lit up “Uh-uh!” Ari smirked “The sensors are detecting something. Well, I don’t have a resolution. Will be compensating, just give me a minute.”

OOC: to GM, it is ok to make appear some sort of ship? Maybe to impede Odin to progress into the investigation about the colony. Otherwise, I’ll make Ari detect just a plasma storm.

Lieutenant Jr. grade Ari Kux Salemberger - CSO

Calin, CO

OOC: Hi Jay, you could email me to try something out. I would reply to give some ideas should it not be okay. At the moment the scenario you described would impede the sim moving. Although it is a slow ship, the sim would drag unnecessarily if a ship suddenly appeared. The sim would go a totally different direction … :) Don’t worry. The action is the investigation.

IC:
What the sensors detected were a small vessel (for a crew of about 6) leaving the location from where the two colonists had transported to. The vessel had quite powerful weapons but they were not online. These weapons were quite powerful for such a small vessel. The vessel headed towards another part of the same planet.

GM

OOC: thanks for the advise. As I lost track of the sim I was a bit dubious but, hey! GMs are here for us ;) gonna contact ya if I ever have any ideas.

IC:
“Aaaandd, there it is.” Ari jumped of joy without any reason “ah. Well guys, just a ship departing from the colony. 6 life forms and wow it has a good weaponry for its size… too good.” the CSO leaned forward the screen “well! Anyway, do you want some more informations about this ship, Captain? Otherwise I would probably return to calibrate long-range sensors. I find them constantly misaligned.” Asked his CO.

Lieutenant Jr. grade Ari Kux Salemberger - CSO

Weir

“Would it not be better, Lt. Ari,” asked Solark, “that the sensors could come up with how the ship could have such powerful weapons?”

Solark

“I agree, what stats do we have how much power does that ship produce? I want all of it now.” Calin ordered.

Some moments later, the colony messaged the Odin, indicating that the crew was allowed to enter and move towards one of the orbital ship docks. They were also allowed to beam down to the villages.
