Abel arrived a few minutes before he was supposed to meet Lissi. He stopped and picked up two glasses and found a table by the window. He set the glasses and a bottle he brought with him on the table and opened it, smelling the contents and smiling as he poured the two glasses half full of a deep red wine.

Abel, CMO

Lissi showed up a few moments later. Not late, per se, but then again, wasn’t on time actually late?

She smiled watching him pour the wine and walked over a moment later. Touching his shoulder as she walked around him, she settled into the seat opposite him. “That doesn’t look replicated.” She smiled and glanced at the wine. One hand reaching up to tuck an errant cluster of hair behind her ear, her fingers absently rubbing her slight brow ridges before lowering once more. “Special occasion or just a chance to relax and do more than sneak a lunch in a vacant medical bay?” Lissi laughed softly in reference to their first ‘date’ in the auxiliary medical bay where they managed to grab some privacy between shifts.

Abel smiled and said “No. Not replicated. This is from my cellar back home.” and he handed her a glass. Raising his own to her he said “Cheers.” and smiled at her.

Abel, CMO

She smiled brighter and took the glass. Holding it to his in the toast, she nodded. “Cheers.” After taking sip, she raised her eyebrows in surprise. “Oh, gracious. That is delicious. I may have to route your cellars when we get back. Or at least find your stash here.” Lissi laughed. “It really is wonderful. I guess I’ve been blunted by synth drinks for so long, I had forgotten how wonderful and full flavored the real thing is. Thank you, Abel. So,” she set the glass on the table but she kept it between both hands and slowly rolled it between her fingers. “Do you recommend a special dish to go with this?” She had the feeling he did. She was coming to learn more and more about the quiet Doctor. And if nothing else, she had learned he never did anything by half measure.
