Sam could feel the lips on her skin, strong hands holding her… touching her. It was like each touch in the darkness set her body on fire with desire. She felt the shiver course through her as she braced herself to be taken… God it had been so long. The hands slid lower down her trembling figure when…

“Excuse me… Commander?” The young Steward’s blue eyes met the startled hazel of Commander Samantha Jean Halloway, her face flushed and beads of sweat still clinging to her forehead. “Yes…” The veteran combat pilot said in a near rasp. “… yes?” She followed more flatly as she sat up straighter in her seat.

“The shuttle is on final approach to the Odin, Ma’am.” The dark-haired Steward said politely. “Do you need help with your things?” Sam quickly rose from the chair, blush now glowing on her cheeks. “No Petty Officer…” Sam said quickly, grabbing her overhead bag. “… I just have this. Everything else was sent ahead.”

He flashed a smile and with a nod turned, walking away. Halloway realized, after about three seconds, that she’d be watching the attractive young steward’s backside juuuust a little too long when she shook her thoughts clear. Slipping on her Bomber jacket and throwing her bag over her shoulder, Sam quickly made for the airlock. After nearly two days of a certain steward taking the lead role in one-too-many racy fantasies, Halloway knew if the boy came too close… she might break him, and wouldn’t care in the slightest! Why in the hell did he have to look so much like Clint!? “Damn it!” Halloway swore softly as the shuttle touched down in the bay and the door hissed open.

Stepping off quickly, Halloway glanced back for one moment… and immediately regretted it. There in the door stood the Steward, her TOPGUN Instructor’s hat in hand. “Forget something Commander?” He said with a warm smile. Halloway smiled back as the blush returned, stepping forward and nearly ripping the hat from the kid’s hand. “Take care ma’am” He said and then, he winked. Frack me! Halloway thought as the hatch slid shut… The lil’ shit knew! “Oh God!” Sam sighed as she turned her back on the Shuttle and marched what felt very much like a Walk of Shame out of the bay.

Halloway, CTO & Heartbroken Pilot

Halloway walked briskly down the corridors until she found a lift to take her to the Quartermasters office so she could get her quarters and a shower before meeting the Skipper. It was a brief exchange, most 2nd Classes swallow their tongue when dealing with an O-5 and Petty Officer Kellogg was no exception. The young woman quickly processed the Crew Transfer Order for Halloway that activated what few Command Codes the pilot still needed and her quarters assignment on Deck 4. With a nod and a smile, Halloway left for the refreshment of a cool sonic shower.

Halloway, CTO

Along with the usual ‘welcome aboard’ messages on her comm, the new CTO would find a message from the Chief Engineer as well.

Commander Halloway,

I am sure I am not the first, but I hope I am not the last to welcome you to the Odin. I am Ka’Lissi Rosh, the Chief Engineer. I wanted to offer my availability should you have any questions about engineering. I have enclosed the latest round of maintenance and test logs. You will be happy to know everything is running on the high end or above tolerance. Also listed are weapons’ stores, and calibration limits for all weapons and engine systems from the last 30 days.

If you are in need of any further information or assistance, my door is always open.

Welcome aboard once more.

Lt Ka’Lissi Rosh
Chief Engineer

Sam smiled to herself for a moment, genuinely impressed with the expediency of the Odin’s Chief Engineer. She took a few minutes to scan over the reports, it still amazed her at the incredible firepower of Capital Ships versus fighters… even one’s like the Oddie. After a few minutes, a puzzled expression crossed the woman’s features as she reviewed the Torpedo Report. “Why the frack would any vessel need as many probes as torps…?!” She said out loud to her empty quarters. “That’s ridiculous!” Without a second thought, Halloway tapped her CommBadge.

=A= Tac Chief Halloway to Chief Rosh… if you have time, can you meet me in Torpedo Control in say… an hour?=A=

Halloway, CTO

Lissi was in her office and responded. =^=I’ll meet you there, Ma’am.=^= She was a bit curious what was happening, from the off tone of the CTO’s voice.

A few minutes before the hour was up, the Chief Engineer was in the Torpedo Service room on Deck 36. She walked in to see if the new CTO was here already. “Ma’am?” She called out to see if Halloway had arrived yet.

Lissi
CE

As Lissi spoke, the tall, striking brunette in an impeccable Tac Gold uniform with Master Pilot wings opposite her CommBadge turned from the panel she was at to greet her. Samantha Halloway moved fluidly and her smile was bright. A thick braid sat just barely reaching her right shoulder. “You must be Chief Rosh…” The woman said in a bright, cool soprano as she offered her hand. “… Sam Halloway. I’m happy I wasn’t late… I was worried I missed you.”
