“300 Megagrams would keep their life support going for the next hour. Another 500 to keep the artificial singularity stable for the same time,” replied Solark.

Lissi did a quick check and nodded. “That would be sufficient for now. And wouldn’t leave us too short should something come up on our end.” She looked from the CO to Solark. “The last option may be to put as many as we can on the Odin and shut down non essential sections of their ship while we help repair it. Harder, but manageable if we can’t get things going faster the first way.”

She didn’t like the idea of them being on the ship, but she hated the idea of them dieing, or using up the Odin’s store, even more.

“May I suggest that Lt. Ka’Lissi oversee the transfer?” asked Solark.

Solark

Veyn was relieved that the conversation had turned toward extending an olive branch. His earlier suggestion of basic rations hadn’t been deemed necessary but… well, oxygen was certainly important. He set the Odin’s sensors to monitor the oxygen level of the other ship and give an alert if it reached a critically low point.

(Lt. J.g. Veyn, Science)

The oxygen levels were not at critical point yet but it would get there if nothing was done. On their sensors, there was only the movement on the bridge and the team at Engineering. All seemed at alert green.

“Please report,” said Solark to Veyn, “if you see anything suspicious.”

Solark

OOC: Due to the RL situation concerning our CO, may I suggest that Solark take charge of the situation, since XO has boarded the pirate ship?

((forgive me if I cross the line, but I am making an exit to our CO so he is not simply ‘dropped’ from the Sim… GM, XO, feel free to override, erase or change if necessary))

Lissi looked up as Solark recommended she take over the transfer. “Of the material to them or them to the Odin, Sir?”

She glanced from Solark to the CO and back, wondering which had been decided since the question she had posed was a ‘one or the other’ type of query.

“Solark, see to it.” The CO nodded to the man and turned for his Ready Room. “I will be in my Ready Room. Let me know how the exchange goes. I am going to reach out through other channels and see if we can figure out where this may have originated.” He then stepped out as the door whooshed shut behind him.

Lissi felt the edges of her lips curl up as she watched him depart. “Leave it to him to have higher powers to go to in a pinch.” She shook her head in awe, a twinge of jealousy at his connections pulling on the edges of her mind. Turing back to the COO, she gave him a half shrug. “Well, Sir. Would you rather have them here on the Odin while we repair the ship, or give them the additional power and let them help us with repairs over there?” She was already rising in preparations to depart the bridge as she asked.

“Yes,” replied Solark. “I believe that would be best.” Solark returned to his display. After a glance, he stood up and added, “Lt. Ka’Rissi, we might need to get a few people from here to man the ship, so that the crew might be transported on board. If I read the Captain correctly, he wants that ship and ours to be in Federation space.”

Solark

“Yes, sir.” The Chief Engineer sent messages to engineering and security telling them to get away teams ready, two from each department. This would then two teams to work on the ship, and cover it necessary. She also contacted medical to add them. With the state of the ship, who knew what injuries and deprivations there were.

A few moments later she turned back to Solark. “I’ve got two engineering teams with security escorts getting ready now and medical as well. Do you want me to coordinate from here or join them?”

She didn’t like the idea of leaving the ship, mostly not leaving Solark with a skeletal bridge crew. But she also knew that over there she could made split second decisions and covert remarks and actions that would take to much explaining from here.

When the turbo lift doors opened, four NEs entered the bridge. Solark had signalled for crew members to take up positions on the bridge.

GM

(bump)

“Lt. Ka’Lissi, I believe your expertise might be able to decipher the operations of the pirate ship, which seems to be what humans call a hodgepotch of different parts. Please be the captain of the pirate ship.”

Solark

Lissi laughed as she got up from her seat to make for the lift. “Captain of a pirate ship. Somehow I don’t recall this advancement step in the Academy handbook. But hey, Captain is Captain.” She laughed. “I’ll take it. I’ll report soon as I am there. Taking two teams with me. See you on the Federation Side, Sir.” She gave a wink and a salute as she stepped through into the turbo lift to head for transporter room.

Morganna stepped onto the bridge and took her seat. She watched the view screen and listened to the chatter of the crew.
