“A captain should go down with his ship. I will remain …” the captain began.

GM

Wolf looked at the captain “ Sir I believe your logic is flawed. As captain it is your responsibility to keep your crew together and keep them safe. You willing to go down with your ship well not only result in a loss of life but it will put your crew into a power struggle. So if we are leaving you are coming with us even if I had to stun you and carry you on my back. I am not gonna let you do that to your crew” he said towering over him

Ensign James Wolf (Security)

“This has nothing to do with logic … It is called care and concern …” the captain blurted out with a pained expression. A few of the teenagers on the bridge wept a little.

GM

Wolf walk over to your he captain and put his hand on the man shoulder and said “ stop being selfish” With his hand already on the man shoulder he did the Vulcan nerve pinch to make the guy pass out.

Ensign James Wolf (Security)

“Cheese and crackers Wolf,” Kate blurted out seeing her co-worker employ the incapacitating Vulcan nerve pinch as she dove towards the captain out of instinct. “Where did you go to diplomacy school....Nausicaan U?” Wolf was a Vulcan and while they tended to be logical and analytical, they also did have ways of protecting themselves and their shipmates. Kate’s butt had been saved several times but the neck pinch but right now it felt a bit excessive. Helping set the Captain on the ground, Kate hoped that the man came to sooner rather than later.

Looking up at the crew Kate took a deep breath. There was no way to downplay this but she had to establish some trust with the crew if they were going to get out of this. “Assess and plan,” she announced taking charge. “You,” she pointed to one of the teens at the console. “Can you tell me what the power levels are and if we are leaking any type of radiation and if so is it enough to make me glow in the dark after this?”

“Wolf take over comms and figure out what Calin wants us to do or if they have any more information on how to handle this then we do,” she said.

Kate O’Neill COS

The crew had been horrified when the captain collapsed but the one to whom O’Neill directed the question went to his console and said, “We need deuterium to kickstart the fusion engines. We have run out … The artificial singularity is being held together by our backup power batteries but we won’t be able to contain it for much longer. We have about 60 minutes before the containment fails.”

GM

Wolf looked to Kate “sorry he was having too much of a death wish so I made him take a little nap once we save the ship” he went to one of the crew “so what do your systems run on maybe we can do a power transfer to at least stabilize your systems”

Ensign James Wolf (Security)

The young man looked at the Vulcan in disbelief. The other teen who had answered Kate seemed to have given the obvious answer. Rather than crossing the security officer, he simply said, “Deuterium.”

GM

Wolf looked around and saw the crew were not a fan of him “ ok listen everyone tour captain is fine he is taking a little nap. The reason I made him take the nap was cus he only had a one take mind of going down with his ship when the ship is not lost we still have time to save the ship. He was adding to the problem not a Solution. So I temporary remove him from the equation. Now everyone We Are Star Fleet we are here to help so let’s work together. This is your ship you guys know the systems better so help us to help you. Who was first officer or the oldest bridge officer to take over leader ship.”

Ensign James Wolf (Security)

The two young people who had encountered Vulcans before looked at the others with terror. The Vulcan officer was clearly not bothered with their emotions and feelings. He had lived up to the reputation of Vulcans. The one who spoke to Wolf said, “He was in the cargo hold when you boarded us.”

GM

Glancing around the deck Kate quickly took in each person. “You,” she snapped to a kid that seemed slightly younger than her by a few years. “What’s your name?”

“I am called Garion,” he replied.

“You are promoted to temporary XO of the ship. Congratulations. Now help me help you.” Kate said to the kid. She chose him solely because he had hung back and been the most inconspicuous of the bridge crew. This meant he didn’t panic, overreact, or have a false sense of bravado. Hopefully, it meant that he had the pull and respect of the crew to get them to trust the Odin’s away team.

Kate O’Neill COS

There were looks of surprise on the other kids’ faces. Their expressions showed that they trusted Garion, but were awed by Kate picking the right person.

“Mason and I will head to engineering to see if we can slow down the singularity,” Paris suggested. Engineering was way out of her league but Mason being the XO definitely could do something. She could tell them what was going to happen when the singularity went poof but not the systems that kept it contained.

Paris Carisi

OCC: Kenson if you want to keep us all on the bridge that is fine. Just post Paris can’t leave lol . I will roll with you :) ~ Kate

OOC: Roger. :)

IC: “Cyrad,” Garion called to a girl about his age, “Lead the officers to engineering.” Cyrad nodded with a slight frown. However, if one noticed carefully, Cyrad was a Romulan who had grown her hair long and gathered into one ponytail behind her. The typical Romulan fringe was replaced with a more jagged look that hid the ridges of her forehead, making her look like she was frowning.

“Please … this way,” she said before moving to the back of the bridge to the exit.

GM

Wolf was not very surprised of a romulan crew member onboard due to the fact that a singularity drive is romulan tech. Wolf stayed out of the way for them to work he felt like he was scaring the crew so he keep to himself.

Ensign James Wolf (Security)

One of the girls came forward. “Sir,” she addressed Wolf, “Could I get the captain to a more comfortable position?”

GM

Wolf looked at her with warm eyes “ yes sure that will be fine. We will need to get him on his side and elevate his legs. He said.

Ensign James Wolf (Security)

The girl looked towards another teenage boy. The two of them moved the captain to the side and did what Wolf had instructed.

“How long will he be unconscious?” asked the girl.

GM

Wolf looked at her “he will be out for a good hour but when he wakes up he will feel relaxed and well rested. The Vulcan nerve pinch can work in many different ways I did it in to him in a way where he will feel no bad side effects” he said as they move the captain. “ I do apologize for doing this to him But something needed to be done before he drags you all down with him. Wanting to go down with the ship when there’s still time to save the ship he did not even want to try” he said

Ensign James Wolf (Security)

“So, what will happen to us?” asked a younger boy standing at the engineering station.

GM

Wolf got up from the floor “ Kate we need to get a power transfer doing to help the systems get back online” he said

Ensign James Wolf (Security)

A message from the Odin to state that Lt. Ka’Lissi would be coming to provide the means for energy.

GM

=/\= Away team, this is Odin. Please prepare the crew for site to site transport from the various parts of the ship. Lt. Ka’Lissi and her team would be beaming to engineering and bridge to take charge of the ship.=/\=

Solark

James was confused were they getting beamed out or are more team beaming over. He looked over to Kate to see what’s going on

Ensign James Wolf (Security)

OOC: Security is supposed to ensure that the pirate crew be beamed over to the Odin.

GM

=/\= away team will be ready in 3 minutes =/\=

James went to the center of the bridge “ok everyone our ship is getting ready to beam all of us out of here due to the lost of life support I need everyone to stand up and step away from the consuls and standby for transport” he went over to the captain of the vessel.

=/\= ensign Wolf to Odin can you beam there captain first to sickbay. He was highly stressed so I had to make him take a nap =/\=

Ensign James Wolf (Security)

=/\=That would be a negative. We have set up medical screening at cargo bay 4. The CMO will decide what to do with him once he examines him.=/\= replied Solark.

Solark

=/\= Roger that bridge crew is ready for transport =/\= as he ended his conversation he was doing a quick headcount everyone seemed to be there.

Ensign James Wolf (Security)

OOC: I am assuming Ka’Lissi will transport to the ship.

IC: The bridge crew began to be transported away. When the CE’s team came to the bridge, Ensign Wolf was transported back to the Odin.

GM

Lissi was stunned. It had taken less than ten minutes to get the team together and beam to the pirate ship. But already it was in dire straights. Shouting orders to everyone, the team of ten she brought with her broke off into predetermined pairs and got to work. Four went immediately to the engineering center to try and get things going. Two more were making a sweep of the ship to see who all was still on board. Four were scattering across the ‘bridge’ to different locations to get ship readings and begin shutting down non essential, or occupied, sections of the ship to save power.

Moving to the main engineering console on the bridge, she tried to bring up the specs and how bad the depletion was. She needed to know what it was going to take to get them across the Federation Line and into ‘safe space’.

The singularity engine was patched up such that it needed a fusion engine to keep it running optimally. The singularity engine was not offline yet but the ship could not warp off without exiting the ‘system’ that they were in. The fuel transported to the pirate ship was enough to get the ship outside the ‘system’, and then allow the singularity engine to ‘fire up’ in a stable environment to provide power.

The ship was made up of different parts from different ships (of different races and systems) and whilst it was not difficult to see what each part did, it was not easy to understand how the designer came up with such ways of getting the singularity engine running.

“Damn them for running… I hate pirates…” she muttered under her breath and waited for reports to come in for her to report back to the Captain with.

Lissi
CE

The crew at engineering reported that they would be able to stabilise the singularity for providing the power for warp once they completed the fuelling of the fusion engines. That would take about another 20 minutes. At the moment, the deuterium was being used to power up the impulse engines so that the ship could exit the ‘system’ they were in. At the same time, the crew asked if they could disconnect the cloaking device so that the energy it was using to be on standby could be used more efficiently for the engines. It would take another 20 minutes or so to bring the singularity engine up to optimal levels for warp travel.

On the bridge, the crew were rather taken with the way the consoles were reconfigured to fit the ship even though they were from different systems. Among the systems that they were able to work on were the comms, sensors, navigation and helm. The weapons console was a little more tricky as the controls were only colour coded and without text or diagrams to explain which weapons were managed by which set of controls. The last to report was the NE who was trying to figure out the console for engineering, which was also colour coded without text or diagram explanations.

The two NE sent to comb the ship reported that there were no one left on the ship.
