Not one to generally go out of her way to try and meet new people, mostly because of the circumstances in which she was raised, Nerira had resolved to try to get to know a few people after her last posting had gone south and she had asked for a transfer. She had figured that meeting the chief engineer might give her someone to work with on her research in theoretical propulsion. She had originally gone into the service as an engineer but that didn’t work out for her, too many maitinence jobs and not enough research. She figured that when Starfleet asked her to come back she would reapply for a science position because it would give her more time to do research.
However, having a friend in the engineering department would be great…Pinning her commbadge on her uniform, Nerira grabbed a PADD with a preview of the work she had been working on, something she could give to Lt. Tigress.
Stopping off in the main science lab on her way to engineering, Nerira made sure there wasn’t anything she was needed for. Finding her way to engineering wasn’t hard. but figuring out which officer was the lieutenant was a different story. Asking around she finally was directed to an officer who looked younger than the rest.
“Her?” Nerira said raising an eyebrow “She’s only a kid… Impressive.”
The ensign who had pointed tigress out confirmed that the young officer was the right person
Approaching the lieutenant “Lieutenant Tigress? Leiutennant Nerira Akanar” Nerira said, extending her hand “I’m the new CSO here, I hear you’re also new to the Odin?”OOC: its hard to do a R&D project by oneself and have a plausible story, hoping I can get someone else to help me out

Tigress’ ears turned backward as she heard the stranger approach. She turned to face the stranger when she spoke. ” Yes im tigress it’s nice to meet you. Is there something I can help you with?” She asked.
LT. Tigress“I used to work as a mission specialist in theoretical propulsion. I had a whole team of engineers working in my department. But here I have a bunch of scientists, most of whom are not engineers. I guess what I am saying is that I could really use help from someone with an engineering background.”
Handing the PADD, with specs for the Razorwing and drive m modifications, to tigress, Nerira said, “Here is a sample of some of the things I have been working on. Look it over and let me know what you think.”-Lt. Akanar
” Why don’t we head to my office,” Tigress said as she looked over the pad. ” I’m only been onboard a few days so I don’t know about this idea of yours at least yet. The worp drive and propulsion on this ship and be a bit finicky” she said as she led the way to her office.
Once inside LT. Akanar would hand the basic star fleet decoration for an office out of place however was a robotic cat currently laying across the desk clearly powered off. ” So have you done any tests simulations on this project of yours” She asked still looking over and reading the information.

OOC: sorry for the delay, didn’t have any wifi or cell service for the last week. I hope its still okay to pick this thread back up
IC: “on the flight here I was able to maintain warp velocities in excess on 9.98 for almost sixteen hours, and I have been able to do almost 48 hours straight. I’ve been working on this for several years now’ before Starfleet I used to race small ships but now I am thinking the all my work can be applied to make the drives of our ships more efficient and capable of higher speeds.”
