“Ops overlay the position of the fighters relative to the planet surface. Add in the Dragoon. I want a blip up there for every SF officer.” The Captain commanded.

The Ops officer split the screen and overlayed one side with a 3D Dragoon with the cut out showing where the Away Team was. The other side of the screen was the planet and the location of the fighters. It to was in a 3D model. Scan information being relayed back from Mirri’s runabout gave them a very detailed look. To include the position of the hut.

Parker CO

The Captain awaited an update from Ric. The Dragoon situation was important but the possible location and status of the Dragoon crew was more important.

Parker CO

Sidney didn’t get an update from the fighter group, but he did from sickbay. The disembodied voice of the Doctor Clint, the ship’s neurologist could be heard loud and clear at the captain’s seat. =^=Clint to bridge. Lieutenant Primage described some kind of high pitched sound that rendered her motionless. Medical scans are revealing mild neural distress. I don’t know what caused this but someone better tell the CAG about it.=^=

Clint, M.D.
=^=Capt. to CAG. PRimage reports that there was a high pitched noise, maybe a screaming like noise, before she was incapacitated. Beware of that and give us an update asap.=^=

Parker CO

=^=The rest of us heard it, too, Skipper. It was a droning hum. It seemed to be coming as part of the microwave transmission. That’s when Sehlat seemed to get caught in the wave. The rest of the squad was able to pull out before it affected us. When the torpedo hit, she was able to break loose. Shortly after, I picked up a transmission from the surface from a Starfleet comm badge. A young girl, saying someone was after her. I’m on the planet’s suface now-------=^=

The CAG left his comm open so the Sidney could hear his conversation with the girl he had just found. =^=Sweetheart? It’s me, Richard, the person you were talking to over the comm. I’m gonna get you out of here, but you need to come with me right now.=^=

Ricochet (CAG)

“Are you Starfleet?” she asked. She was about 9 years old. “You’re wearing the uniform. Can you save everyone as well?”

GM

OOC: Is it time to start a thread on the surface of the planet?

R Smith AKA Jason Harn

OOC: Probably.
IC:
The Bridge crew listened intently. The Captain trusted Ric. IF he needed something he would ask for it after careful consideration.

Parker CO

OOC: Done. I got the threads mixed up. :)

Kenson

Toro listened to the conversations that were going on, she was scanning the area for hostiles that could be a threat to the away team. In the background, she was also doing a search on the area of Antioch that they were in, wanting to know if there had been any uprisings or battles here and what the ‘lay of the land’ was so to speak, who the people were in the area and what they could potentially be facing.

CIO
Mirri was in the runabout and listening to the messages and switched to a secure signal =^=Lawerance to Richocet and Olinski. If there are people down there, we’re going to need to move cautiously…this could be a trap..I don’t like the idea of a child being in danger, but people will do stange and horrible things in desperate times. I’m running scans of the area to determine how many people there are and their location.=^= Switching back to an open comm she heard teh frantic call of the child.

Helm

On the bridge, they would hear Ric continuing the conversation with the girl.

=^-Yes, I am. Saving the crew of the Dragoon is the plan. I’m going to get you out of here first, okay? Are there any others around here?”=^=

Ric picked the girl up and cradled her in his arms. =^=Hold on, we need to get back to my ship.=^= Carrying the girl, he set out at an even, but hurried jog, headed in the direction of his parked fighter.

Ricochet (CAG)

Bridge sensors began to detect power energising the emitters on the ground. They would be emitting microwaves in 45 seconds. The emitters on the high ground that had affected Lt. Primage would be fully functional in three minutes.

GM

The Ensign manning the sensors cried out.

” Their energizing their weapon again. Sending coordinates to Tactical. Three minutes to time they can fire.”

That was a problem. They could not get another of the special torpedos ready in time.

“Tac load a medium yield photon torpedo at those coordinates. Fire on my command.” Sid ordered. At least a photon torpedo would do less damage but wipe out whatever was shooting that beam.

“Other options?” He said out loud.

=^=Parker to Harn on Dragoon. They are going to fire that weapon again in 3 minutes. Were targeting it with a photon torpedo. Firing in 2 minutes.=^=

=^=Oh my G*d,=^= the first officer gasped. =^=Er, um, I mean, acknowledged!=^= Jason stammered.

=^=Mirri get the runabout back in the ship. You have 2 minutes to get here.=^=

Mirri responded =^=On my way back to the Olinski.=^=

Sid wanted time to clear the area and beam up the Away Team in case it did not work.

Parker

Parker CO

Jason Harn, XO

It was almost an entire minute before a second call from the team on the Dragoon was heard. =^=Harn to Olinski, we’re ready to return home. Beam the away team back with all due speed.=^=

Jason Harn, XO

There was no problem beaming the away team back. The clock was ticking away…

GM

=^= The Captain to Transporter Room One. Beam the Away Team back to the Olinski.=^=

=^= Aye Sir.=^= Came the reply.

They had 1 minute until he ordered the torpedo away and 2 minutes before the planets emitters fired. He did not want to level the area with a torpedo because he did not know who was there but he had too many assets in play. It was the quickest option. Monitoring the com traffic he thought maybe a low flying fighter could hit the emitter site and avoid the waves. It would be more precise and less collateral damage.

=^=Ric if you a pilot can avoid the waves and hit that site then do it. You have one minute or less before we fire. Be clear of that area after that in case your run is unsuccessful.=^=

Parker CO

A moment later Ael called home. =/\=Olinski, Ricochet, this is Apex. Targets are down. All emitters destroyed. We have some sort of electromagnetic activity underground. That’s all the detail I have on a Cutlass’ sensors.=/\=

-Lt(j.g.) Ael Khev, Apex
The Ops officer turned to the Captain. “Flight is reporting that the emitters are down Captain.”

The Captain eased back into his chair without turning to the officer. He was happy he did not need to use the less precise torpedo and Ric and his pilots had been able to get it done.

“Ok stand down on the torpedo Tac.” He called out. “Ops as soon as everyone is back I want them in the Briefing Room. I want DHs there or their stand in.” He ordered and got up.

He made his way to the Conference Room and awaited his senior officers.

=Ops to all Senior Officers. Meet the Captain in the Confernece Room asap. If unable to come send a stand in=^=

Parker CO

OOC: Time to give some air time for NEs :) Play them if you wish.

IC: Whilst the officers were in the conference room, the sensors began to pick up activity on the surface of the planet. The population was not very large, about 400 thousand scattered all over the main continent. However, what was alarming was that there were activity on the surface of the planet consistent with violence. Life signs were moving and many were getting weaker. There were also signs of explosions and the like on the planet.

GM

NE Eney at Ops saw the data. She immediately sent that information to the Conference Room for anyone monitoring the situation to see.

“Information received on the new activity on the planet side. Forwarded to the Captain in the Confernece Room.” She announded.

NE Eney

Helm

The shuttle that was returning neared the Olinski and with the protocols in place returned safely.

GM

Once the runabout was secured, Mirri headed for the Bridge to resume her duties aboard the Olinski.
