Kolar arrived to the transporter room. He hadn’t been given overall command of an away team in quite a while. He waited for the team to arrive.

The COS and two ensigns from security arrived moments later. As requested, the trio were clad in tactical armor and were equipped with larger type two phasers. Each also had a small baton tucked away at the waist. Unlike his subordinates, Ch’zaolrirh did not have a helmet. As an andorian, a helmet would only hinder him in his duties.

“We are beaming into an unknown but certainly hostile situation. Prepare for all contingencies, including a medical emergency and rescuees who don’t want to be rescued due to some sort of mind control. Phasers on stun, do not change to a more deadly posture until so ordered.”

Kolar

The security team glanced at their phasers to ensure they remained on stun.

COS Ch’zaolrirh

OOC: Trying to join the main sim.

IC: In walked Lt. (j.g.) Banner ready to go. May I come with you? I can’t fly while my bird is being repaired and I can’t do anything else here. Besides, if you need someone to fly an extra bird back, that would be me. Other than that, I can follow orders and will do my best. Please let me help....”

Banner

OOC: Timothy, I just gave you an opening to get your bird in the air in the fighters and runabouts thread. –Terry
OOC: I am sorry, I did not see the post…I guess we can consider this one void then. My apologies. –Timothy

Toro stepped into the transporter room, a side arm on her hip. She listened “I have uploaded information to data pads that have been learned through research. Hopefully it will be helpful.”

CIO

OOC: Void this post. Toro will be on the Bridge.

Tyra

OOC: Sorry for not posting. I was waiting for the team to give the go ahead for the transport … ;)

GM

OOC: I guess we are as together as we are going to get. Beam us down, the stragglers from the thanksgiving holiday will catch up.
Luke
?”
Kolar stepped on the transporter pad. “Ready?” He glanced at each officer in turn, he spun his finger in a circle “Everyone face outward.” then to the transport chief. “Energize when ready.”

Kolar

The COS and his officers kept their hands at the ready. They could be beaming into a quickdraw situation.

  • COS Ch’zaolrirh

The away team found themselves in a small clearing surrounded by a dense forest. They could hear shouting about 50 metres in front of them but the scene was blocked by trees.

GM

As the team got their bearings Ch’zaolrirh picked up on the shouting. Drawing his phaser, he quickly moved to the front of the group. As he did, he signaled for the other two tactical officers to ready themselves. Even though this wasn’t his away mission, he still had a mandate over the security of the crew.

While awaiting Kolar’s orders, the Andorian’s eyes scanned the clearing for any imminent threats.

COS Ch’zaolrirh

Kolar gestured forward with two fingers and withdrew his tricorder with his other hand. He could scan and walk at the same time. He wasn’t going to march into a situation without using his scanning device.

Kolar CSO

The tricorder showed that there were fourteen people ahead, one of which was a Bajoran,.

GM

“There’s at least one friendly ahead. Check your targets… no wild firing.”

Kolar.

Before the landing party could advance too far ahead, Kolar’s comm badge chirped again.

=^=Kolar, this is Ricochet. we’re approaching your position. ETA 15 seconds. Today’s menu includes a couple extra bodies on the ground, or air support that comes with your choice of tetryon cannon, phaser, or a round of mini-photon torps, or a combination of all three. What’s your pleasure, Commander?=^=

Ricochet (CAG)

When they reached where the group of people were, they saw three groups of people. There were two groups of four and one group of six. The Bajoran was unmistakably in the group of six. One of the groups looked human whilst the other looked vaguely like Neanderthals. The human group was shouting something in similar to the Angosian tongue, “Give us back our supplies!” or something to that effect, to the larger group. The Neanderthals were grunting fiercely towards the larger group. The group of six were dressed in rather raggedly clothes and the commbadge of the Bajoran was conspicuously absent.

GM

Before the away team was close enough to be spotted, Ch’zaolrirh extended his arm as if to tell the rest of the team to hold on. Once he made sure his tactical officers took watch over what was going on he turned his head and spoke to Kolar, “Mister Balfor, they are just up ahead. I don’t see any large, but they may still be armed. Your orders?” While he waited for a response his two officers did their best to visually identify any weaponry on the lifeforms up ahead.

COS Ch’zaolrirh

Xandra laughed as the CAG gave their entry announcement. Setting down in a space far enough away to make weapons useful if needed, but close enough to be run to in an emergency, she tapped Ric’s arm. “Ric… there… in the larger group. A Bajoran. I don’t see a comm badge.” She kept her voice low to not let it be overheard by open comms, or even by the guest in the ship with them. “Can we say ‘out of place’? Want me to keep you covered from in here, or out there?” She tapped the phaser strapped to the wall nearby for a quick grab by the pilot.
