=^=Skipper, this s Ricochet. I got your message about piloting a shuttle down to the surface. Not to disregard or contradict your orders, sir, but I’d be a lot more comfortable taking a fighter down with Lt. Primage. That way we can offer both air an ground support to the surface team.=^=

Ricochet (CAG)

=^=Its your call Cmd. Do what you thinks best.=^=

The Captain had no intentions of telling the CAG his job. He knew it well.

=^=Captain, it appears there is a weapon that is capable of using mind control.=^= Trevor said as he took a glance at the girl sitting on the bio bed. =^= Stephanie, confirmed that everyone started acting strange when they heard a certain sound, and that the destruction of the emitters will also turn off the mind control.=^=

CNS

=^=The question is then if the emitters are down in the danger past or do they have smaller units of the same? Something we can only know if they get down there. Anyway to block it?=^=

Parker CO

If indeed they took out the only emitters the planet had then they had a leg up on the mission. It was the hope of the Captain because as of yet they had no real good weapon against them other than blowing them up.

Parker CO

Mirri adjusted their orbit just slightly to give them a clearer lock on the away team should it be necessary.

Helm

Toro’s voice came over the comms =^=Dragoon to Olinski.=^= and in the back ground “Commander comms are open to the Olinski.”

CIO

The Captain waited to hear from the XO on the Dragoon. He was anxious to get some movement on the missions. Both on the Dragoon and the Away Team.

Parker CO

=^=Dragoon to Olinski,=^=Jason reported. =^=Power has been restored and we’ve raised the shields to protect ourselves from Antioch’s microwave weapon. Toro reports that our sensors are picking up the combadges of the Dragoon’s officers and crew down on the surface. I’m thinking that if we had some more medical and security personnel beamed over here we could start trying to recover our people. We wouldn’t beam them all up at once of course, we’d beam them up in groups to make it easier to process them.=^=

OOC: Should Bennie be beamed over to the Dragoon?

Jason Harn, XO

=^= Parker to Harn. Lets not beam anyone over yet. Com badges do not equal crew. Just combadges. Lets get a report from the Away Team first and then in small groups as you suggest.=^=

Parker replied.

Parker CO

=^= Roger that sir. USS Dragoon standing by. Harn out.=^=

Jason Harn, XO

Parker felt confident that the emitter weapons were not a danger anymore. They would be using them if they were. However it was not a certainty.

Parker CO

Mirri looked back at Sidney “What would you like me to do.” She asked feeling very out of place.

Helm

“Bring us in a little closer but keep us out of the range where the pilots first encountered the weapon.” He ordered. |

Sid wanted to be near enough to respond if needed but still safe.

Parker CO

The Captain was cool but inwardly restless. They had basically a three pronged mission set. The Olinski and Dragoon in orbit. The Dragoon to recapture the crew and the Olinski as support. Then the pilot element was providing support and air cover to the Away Team. The Away Team, by far the most important element, was on the ground making the contact and figuring this all out. It was not unusual for the Olinski to do something like this and in truth it was one of his usual tactics. Give a possible enemy several fronts to fight while appearing to be three separate entities vulnerable to attack while actually performing as one.

Parker CO

Mirri pulled the Olinski slightly closer to the planet, but kept the large ship out of the range of the weapon on the surface. She set her computer to scan for any ships coming into the area or anything leaving the planet. She established a standard orbit at the coordinates and waited.

Helm

Her sensors showed that there were no vessels nearby. On the planet, the weapon was still offline.

GM

Nineve had rushed to the bridge, finding her place there and waiting to be of assistance wherever she could possibly be needed.

Nineve, Scientist

“Science give me a sensor sweep update.” The Captain called out.

Parker CO

Sensors showed that there was still chaos. Many small groups, similar to the ones that the away team had encountered, were still moving about. A telepath, or an empath would have been able to detect the confusion and anger in many of the groups below. Some of the small villages that were on the land had signs of fire and destruction due to violence. About 15 metres underground, there was still activity of a more technological kind, presumably work that was repairing the damage caused by the fighters from the Olinski. The sensors located the presence of commbadges not from the Olinski found in some of the villages.

“Sensors picking up major chaos, Captain. A lot of movement from below and destruction is noticeable in some of the villages…” Nineve hummed, eyes trailing over the data quickly, “That’s interesting-” Nineve cut herself off for a moment.

Just then, a commbadge to commbadge message was detected.

GM

Nineve was silent for a few seconds, “sensors have detected a message between commbadges that…are not from the Olinksi, sir.” She announced, turning her gaze towards the captain.

Nineve, Scientist

“Can we intercept it. I want to know whats being said. If not then pin point both ends.” He ordered. “Any other data?”

Parker CO

Mirri listened to the commentary “Captain, I can take us in a bit closer if we need to have closer proximity.” She said “We could also launch a comms bouy to enhance the signal.” She suggested from her spot at the helm.

Helm

“Lets keep our distance for now. We should be close enough to intercept any type of coms from here but I will hold onto your suggestion in case that turns out not to be the case.” The Captain answered.

Parker CO

“We can definitely try, Captain.” Nineve replied, working on trying to intercept the actual conversation along with their specific locations.

Nineven, Scientist

OOC: Repeating the same post in the Dragoon.

IC: The XO, it seemed, was trying to get the CO to come to his position. They were already able to contact 24 of their crew members and a pair were able to reach his position just then. The 24 crew members had agreed to keep a look out for their own crew members as they moved to the RV point where the XO was.
