Ch’zaolrirh continued to listen to the conversation, but lowered his phaser. The natives seemed to be complying and there were still two other security officers, as well as the Olinski’s fighter compliment covering the clearing. Since Kolar was stuck interfacing with the group, he took it upon himself to quietly send an update to the Olinski. He would let Kolar know as soon as there was a break in dialog.

=^= Ch’zaolrirh to the Olinski. We have found six members of the Dragoon’s crew. They were being antagonized by a group of natives who claimed they had stolen from local food stores. Mr. Kolar is attempting to diffuse the situation. The natives come from a village not far from here. I suspect we may be headed there at some point. In the interim I am uploading images of the individuals we have encountered from my tricorder in case you are able to glean more from the ship’s database. =^=

Following his communication, he pulled out his tricorder. Without being too obvious he took images of the groups for identification. He also took an image of the smoke in the distance. Marking the last image as “Possible Native Village Site,” He uploaded everything to the Olinski.

Xandra rolled her eyes at Ric, “In your dreams…”

Listening to the communications, she frowned. “I don’t like this. We are still missing far too many people if the entire ship above us was empty.” She shook her head and leaned back. “Where are they?

A transmission came from the Dragoon ops station with a map of the area marked with where 24 crew members were. =/\=Dragoon to away team. You should have data with crew member locations including a rendezvous spot set up by the XO.=/\=

-Lt Michael Gould, CE

The crew from the Dragoon perked up a little when the message came through. The fact that the ship is operating by Starfleet officers seemed to give hope to them.

GM

“Lets go,” Kolar nodded off. He would direct them out of the clearing.

Once they were out of earshot of the locals, Ch’zaolrirh approached Kolar, “Mr. Kolar - I’ve sent a brief update to the Olinski on our encounter. In the meantime, we received this from the dragoon.” As he spoke, the Andorian passed his tricorder to Kolar. On it was the data being transmitted on the locations of other members of the Dragoon’s crew.

OOC: GM - are any of the crew member locations matching up the village the locals told us about?

OOC: No. The nearest is Kolar’s group.

IC:

=^=XO, we need a supply beam down near these coordinates, 100 kilos of grain and corn products, along with five times that in animal protein dried for long term storage. Put phoshorous illumination around the beam down site and put it with a few phosphorescent rocks for easy locating. =^=-

Jason’s voice replied after only the briefest of pauses. =^=Dragoon to Away Team, we read you Mister Balfor. Sending down 100 kilos of grain and corn products, plus 500 kilos of jerky. Will mark the supply dump with phosphorus illumination for easy recovery. Over.=^=

=^=That’s helpful sir.=^=

=^=Olinski to Landing Party and Dragoon. We have the images and are preparing to beam down the requested supplies. Landing Party what is that smoke related to?=^=

The Captain had opened a com between all three groups.

+^=For easily locating Sir.=^=

=^=Acknowledged Olinski. You’ll be handling the supplies. Dragoon. standing by. Harn out.=^=

He scowled at them, there was a number of things that look very unbecoming a Star-Fleet officer that they might have done including some bending of the Prime Directive as the natives do not appear to be the ones who have the interstellar abilities. “Report.”

Ch’zaolrirh watched the CSO work while his two subordinates kept an eye on the natives still standing in the clearing.

“Any answers… officers?”

Kolar

OOC: Actually he was talking to the liberated crew members they found. What had happened and why they were stealing food and animals.

OOC: I am assuming that Kolar is speaking to the members of the team that were using their tricorders to determine the smoke and what it means?

OOC: Oh. OK.

IC: “We were directed there and immersed into the village. In effect, we became part of the village. When the noise stopped, the villagers started saying we have stolen their food. We had never communicated directly as we all seemed to know what we must do,” one of the women officers reported.

GM

“What, that doesn’t make a lot of sense, give me the story in its entirety. Who/what directed you there? How long were you there? Why did you abandon ship? What noise? Did you actually steal their food, if you didn’t who did? Where is the rest of your crew?” This was not the way a star-fleet crew was trained to deliver reports so he troubled by what was going on.

As tensions began to subside, Ric began to focus on Xandra. Some of her comments were. . confusing, and . . .out of place.

=^= Kolar, it appears you have the situation in hand. I’m sending Red Squad to recon that village site. I’m heading back to the Olinksi.=^=

He switched comm channels. =^=Apex, take Red Squad and recon that village. I’m transmitting photos of the Dragoons crew to you. See if you can any recognition of any of the crew. Copy?=^=

A minute or two of silence was observed and then Lt. Banner came over the intercom, “Yes, sir, Red Squad is on it. By the way, I am feeling much better now. That stupid virus I had seems to be gone and I have (again) be cleared to fly.”

As he powered down the Ranger’s weapons, he said to Xandra, “Sehlat take us back to the Olinski. I want to monitor things from CIC.”

Of course, that wasn’t the only reason he wanted to go back. Xandra was NOT okay to be back in the field yet. He had some butt to be chewing on. It was either the person in sickbay that HAD cleared her for duty, or, she had lied about being cleared for duty. Hopefully, it was the former. The CAG would feel much better about giving a dressing down to a medic than he would to her.

“Take us home, Sehlat.”
