“Transmitting everything now sir.” With a few taps, Michael sent everything to the away team. =/\=Dragoon to away team. You should have data with crew member locations including a rendezvous spot set up by the XO.=/\=

-Lt Michael Gould, CE

Toro continued looking through the crew manifest as they waited for additional comms to come in.

CIO

She didn’t have to wait very long. Balfor Kolar sent a transmission not to the Olinski, but to the Dragoon.

=^=XO, we need a supply beam down near these coordinates, 100 kilos of grain and corn products, along with five times that in animal protein dried for long term storage. Put phoshorous illumination around the beam down site and put it with a few phosphorescent rocks for easy locating. =^=-

“Did I hear that right?” Jason asked out loud. He shook his head. Apparently Kolar wanted to create some sort of long term camp for the Dragoon’s people until it could be determined whether or not it was safe to let them back on their starship. =^=Dragoon to Away Team, we read you Mister Balfor. Sending down 100 kilos of grain and corn products, plus 500 kilos of jerky. Will mark the supply dump with phosphorus illumination for easy recovery. Over.=^=

“We don’t have a lot of people in services over here do we?” Jason asked the others.
Toro shook her head “No we don’t.” She said “I am concerned that this is not going to resolve the problem that is going on here.” She said “My concern is that this is a trap of some sort and we have given them what they want. They have no reason to keep their end of the bargin.” She added realizing that she sounded slightly paranoid.

“Mister Gould, see if there’s anyone from Operations who’s aboard who can take care of that,” Jason decided.

Jason Harn, XO

=^=Olinski to Landing Party and Dragoon. We have the images and are preparing to beam down the requested supplies. Landing Party what is that smoke related to?=^=

The Captain had opened a com between all three groups.

Parker CO

=^=Acknowledged Olinski. You’ll be handling the supplies. Dragoon. standing by. Harn out.=^= Jason responded before giving the ‘stop sending’ gesture.

Toro brought up a visual of the planet looking for the smoke that Parker was talking about so that they could give him an answer.

CIO

There was a village about a kilometre from the away team which had one of the houses smouldering after a fire. The rest of the houses had sustained slight damage but only this single house was burnt down.

GM

“Thanks to your ingenious ‘transporter relay probe’ Mister Gould, it seems that all we need to do is maintain the Dragoon,” Jason commented. “Still, I think it would be a good exercise if we pooled what we know and see what hypotheses we can come up with. Back in the Academy, we were told that any good officer could use their imagination and think outside the box. So, what do we know… Duffy?”

“What?” Ensign Shannon Duffy squeaked as her round cherubic face reddened. Ensign Duffy was painfully shy. She was a very tall woman, only a little less than two meter tall and a rather wide woman with an hourglass figure that could hold two hours. She never did anything that could draw attention to herself if she could help it. She fidgeted in the helm seat before clearing her throat. “W-well, we n-know that there’s a w-weapon on Antioch that is capable of overriding a person’s nervous system and reducing them to a p-puppet. The landing party has discovered natives, but th-they’re request for foodstuffs indicates that… I don’t know what it indicates sir,” Duffy finished lamely.

“That’s okay, so far we are just trying to nail down what we know, which is apparently not much,” Jason assured her. “Is there anything we missed?” He glanced around the bridge. “If we don’t know anything else for sure, what can we infer?”

Jason Harn, XO, trying to start a discussion

Michael piped in. “It grabbed Lt Primage and her fighter. It has a technological and biological component. Other craft were in similar range, but only she fell in. Either it’s got a very specific influence range, or it’s targeted. It was unshielded, our fighters knocked it out easily. I’d guess it’s a booby trap. By the time a ship figures out what’s happening, she’s dead in the water. We’d have to check flight data, but it’s possible Lt Primage shut down the fighter herself. Just like the crew of the Dragoon. Against their will, but a perfect shutdown, leaving a dead Pendragon cruiser in orbit.”

-Lt Michael Gould, CE

As the positive identification were being made via the tricorder data of the away teams, the Dragoon was able to lock on to the various individuals in the crew of the Dragoon.

GM

“And whatever it is puts people in a prison with no cages,” Jason shuddered. “To do what? Mine dilithium? Live in thatch huts and farm the land as nature intended? What is the end game? And why does the away team need such large quantities of foodstuffs anyway. Just how many people did that booby trap catch anyway? Is there some kind of intelligence making decisions down there or have we stumbled upon one of those ‘computer gods’ Starfleet used to encounter?” Jason stopped his brainstorming to notice that Toro was paying close attention to her sensors. “Something catch your attention Toro?” Jason asked, squirming in the CO’s chair as he realized that he had encouraged the bridge crew to let down their guard and become complacent.

OOC: Since Gould is taking part in the theorizing I’m assuming that Toro is paying attention to the sensors. If this is not the case I’ll change my post.

Jason Harn, XO

“We have the crew located.” Toro said “Other than that, everything seems to be okay.” She said (OOC: Was there something I was supposed to pick up on scanners)

CIO

“Transfer the coordinates to the away team and the Olinski,” Jason ordered. “That way everybody is on the same page. Just for the sake of asking, how many people think that we should contact the Dragoon’s people?”

OOC: The data seemed significant at the time and the data needs to be relayed to other threads.

Jason Harn, XO

Toro transferred all of hte information to the away team and the Olinski “I am torn Commander. Part of me thinks it would be a good idea, however, if they are somehow compromised, that would leave us at risk. And it would be unwise to compromise ourselves as well.”
