OOC: MY apologies. RL just made time move so fast!

IC: The entrance was unguarded, although the tricorders would show some form of sensor arrays at regular intervals in the rather long and cavernous passage that laid before them, going down into the ground at an angle of about 15 degrees incline. The tricorder readings show a height of about 28 metres and width of 12 metres. On the sides of the passage were large cables that were interrupted with panels that either contained the sensor arrays, or what seemed like forcefield emitters. Each panel was about 2 metres square. The passage seemed to go about 1.5 kilometres straight into the ground before it came to a bend. The tricorders could read rather high energy outputs just past that bend.

GM

The COS acknowledged Apex as he and Callahan entered the passage, =^= Roger that Mr. Khev. =^=

Looking around the cables were an obvious citing. Pointing at them, the COS gave instructions to Callahan, “Mr. Callahan, those cables are going to lead us to the center of this thing,” or so the Andorian assumed. Carefully making their way down the passage Ch’zaolrirh held his phaser in one hand and his tricorder in the other. A he scanned, he started making a voice log. It was the easiest way for the ship to get his report, should things get out of hand.

=^= COS Log. Stardate XXXX. Myself and Mr. Callahan have entered into a passage way on Antioch. We believe it will lead us to the origination point for the drones spotted on the surface. Initial scans show some kind of sensor array - perhaps a guidance system for the drones. It aligns the entirety of the passage wall…”

Pausing, he picked up the larger energy signal ahead. dropping his tricorder, he quickly tapped his badge to contact Apex, =^= High energy up ahead! Be careful. =^= With that, he and Callahan paused. There was no sense in everyone turning the corner at once, especially since Apex would have no choice once he dropped into the passage.

COS Ch’zaolrirh

A few moment’s later, a thick Russian accent came over the comm. =^=Banner, this Papa Bear. I am having your replacement now. Go. Do what needs to be done. I have the gate covered.=^=

Back in CIC, Ricochet leaned back and continued to listen to the chatter. At the moment, he felt Apex had things under control and wanted to give the Romulan pilot a chance to lead, to see if he still had what it takes to be a squad leader.

Ricochet (CAG)

Tricorder readings suggested that there were drones past the bend. Whether they were defensive drones or the maintenance drones was not clear. What was clear was that the drones had laser capability.

GM

In his Cutlass, Apex called =/\=I’m an old war dog. I’ve got the drones. You do you need to do.=/\= he switched to fighter channel.=/\=If someone’s coming for backup, now’s the time. Bogeys dead ahead. I think I’ve got them, but more guns, better chances.=/\= Off comms he whispered “Elements protect me.” in Romulan.

-Lt (j.g.) Ael Khev, Apex

=^=Da, Apex. Papa Bear is comink in on your six. Guns are hot and being ready to start fireworks.=^=

Papa Bear (Green 3)

Having made his way back to the mother ship Banner radio,

“USS Oliniski, I request permission for turnover landing. I need the flight crew to get me ready to fly again as soon as possible.”

Banner

OOC: Remember your talking to the CoC and not the Bridge so the answer here comes from the CAG.

Sidney

OOC: Sorry, I thought in landing you would be talking to the bridge; I am sorry.

Banner

=^=Permission granted, Red 3. You are cleared to land and a crew is standing bay for rearming,=^= cam the reply from CIC.

"Roger that sir" came the reply as the bird was flown into the tunnel. The one thing that Banner had going for him was he was not the oldest member of the crew and not the youngest...thus he thought that he was the middle of the run 'hot shot' so he landed the bird just in the nick of time.

Banner

In the control center, Ric looked over at the NE manning comms and said. “We really need to get the new boot a call sign. When this is all done, maybe I’ll put in a call to flight school and see what I can dig up on him.”

Ricochet (CAG)

The tunnel was a tight fit but assessable. The sensors on the fighter showed the presence of drones. If they were maintenance drones, their destruction might cause a system wide alert. If they were defensive drones, they would not miss should they fire.

GM

OOC: Sorry, I do not know why the post came out in a white box like that…interesting…

Banner waited for his bird to be ready to fly again…looking at the deck officer he said, “How much longer?”
