The Dragoon’s crew (7 of them) transported safely back to their ship. In the transporter room, they were talking in low tones to each other, happy that they were back.

“I wonder if the Captain’s okay,” one of the men said.

“I need to change out of these …” a woman said.

GM

The turbolift doors opened and Michael led his team down the hall and to the transporter room door. “Assume they are not hostile.” He stepped inside. Surveying the 7 crew he said “I’m Lt Michael Gould, Chief Engineer, USS Brian A. Olinski.”

“I’m the most senior officer here,” said one of the women in the group, “Lt. Rachel Sebastian, engineer. Pleased to meet you, sir.” She was dressed like a peasant, with a shawl over her head.

GM

“An engineer? Lt Sebastian, you’re back onboard the Dragoon. We got her back up and running. Do you remember shutting her down and evacuating the crew? There was no damage, record shows it was a manual shutdown.”

-Lt Michael Gould, CE

“Yes, I remember doing that,” the engineer replied, losing a little of the bravado that she had shown moments before. “The CE had indeed shut down the engines manually.”

GM

“We discovered that the microwave emissions from the planet have some sort of mind controlling effect. I’m not sure if that may have had some effect, at least on your senior staff. I probably should take you to Commander Harn. He’s on the bridge.” Michael indicated the way.

OOC: Waiting for their reaction before we head for the bridge.

“Those microwaves … well … they did kind of control us. At first we did not notice them as in engineering, we usually did routine stuff that were kind of automatic. We did not need to think too much to do them. I realised something was controlling my body when I realised that the options I was choosing were not exactly what I had told myself to do. Then I found I couldn’t speak to my colleagues. I could not control my mouth or voice,” replied Lt. Rachel Sebastian.

GM

“Come on. Let’s go see Cmdr Harn. He’s the XO of the Olinski, and temporarily in command here while we continue locating and rescuing your crew.”

-Lt Michael Gould, CE

Just as he turned to go, Michael heard some disembodied voices coming from the area of the transporter console:

=^=Dragoon, this is Commander Balfor, we are clear of the natives. Beam Science officer T’Phran up, clear her medically and return her to duty. As to me, beam me site to site to the other away team.=^=

After a short pause, the first officer’s voice replied. =^=Bridge to transporter room, did you get that?=^=

Jason Harn, XO

=/\=Got it Commander. Working on the various transports now.=/\= Michael stepped behind the transporter console. “It’s been a minute since I’ve done one of these.” A moment later he slid his hand up the console and T’Phran appeared in a shimmer of blue light. He tapped a few buttons and repeated this motion, send Balfor site to site.

-Lt Michael Gould, CE

=^=Thank you Gould; standby for further instructions.=^=

Jason Harn, XO
