“Take us to the south pole Helm. High orbit. Lets keep safe. Yellow Alert.” He commanded.

Parker CO

Morris changed their heading and moved the Olinski to the south pole and brought them into a high orbit “Captain, we’re at the south pole and in high orbit.”

Nineve watched the sensors closely but her nerves were strung out, this was all new and exciting but she needed to keep her wits about her. The other ensign having found the spaceship under the ice…it was interesting and they needed to keep their eyes on it as they moved closer towards the south pole.

Nineve, Scientist

“Science I am going to want to know everything possible on the readings we get from that buried ship.” He said to Nineve.

Parker CO

“Aye sir,” Ensign Patricia Jones reported from the science station.

As they got nearer to the ship, the sensors began to provide information of the liquid that the ship was in. The ‘sea’ was not of water but a suspension of various salt and metal particulates in liquid propane. The strange suspension had made high resolution scans very difficult. When the ship got closer to the surface of the ‘sea’, the sensors were able to make out that the ship was still quite whole. Furthermore, there was a very dense layer of nitrogen and carbon dioxide gas that prevents the propane from catching fire. However, transport was possible into the ship despite the fact that accurate scans of the ship was not possible.

GM

OOC: I will wait for someone on the Bridge to give me that info.

Sidney

“Sir, I’m having a hard time getting an intensive scan,” Ensign Jones frowned. “The substance the spacecraft is suspended in is composed of a motley concoction of various salts and metal particulates floating in a mixture of liquid propane. Its separated from the atmosphere by an extremely dense layer of nitrogen and carbon dioxide, which is why this mess hasn’t caught fire yet. Now that we’re getting closer I think I can get us a visual. If you want to, I can put an image up on the main viewscreen, but you really won’t be able to see much aside of a silhouette. So far the ship appears quite intact, but I can’t really make out any details. It should be possible to beam over there but I can’t recommend it.”

NE Patricia Jones, Sciences

“How posible is posible. IF thats the only way to get down there and this ship seems key to this planets inhabitants being just past the Stone Age yet possessing advanced weapons tech then we will probably need to go there. Give me a percentage.” He explained and then ordered.

Parker (Thanking his XO for stepping up)

NE Jones looked at her display, tapped a few buttons and said, “The probability of success for the transport is 89%. The probability that the away team would be transported on the ground is, however, 45%.”

GM

The Captain had a decision to make. He could transport some Away Team from where they were to the ship or he could go himself. There was not many people left to send over with command experience. If this was an advanced race would they see this as an attack or was this ship long abandoned.

=/= Parker to Harn. Whats the status on the Dragoon. Can you and Gould leave it and beam into that ship we have detected? Our info says its a relatively safe beam over but were not sure whats there.=/=

Parker

=^= Harn to Parker, we are currently in the process of beaming up the Dragoon’s crew. Mister Gould has brought the senior officers we’ve rescued so far to the bridge. I was about to debrief them. As for whether or not Gould and I can beam down, just let me check. Won’t be a moment, Captain.=^= his first officer replied.

Jason Harn, XO pausing to see if the command staff of the Dragoon has been rescued.
