“That’s if that’s the destination. For all we know that could be a way point to one, or a hundred different points.” He looked at the Andorran. We need to get more information before we get a car down here. Not to mention I’m a pretty poor driver.”

=^=Olinski, the point on the scan doesn’t seem to be the end point. We are going to need a massive scan. Do you need us to return to execute the investigation?=^= That was more a question about needing him, Kolar as the Chief Science Officer, to take the lead in what was going to be a huge project (as far as he knew).

Kolar CSO

=^=Leave the COS in charge. Were beaming you back to figure this out up here where you can do more good I think.=^=

Parker CO

=^=Aye, Aye, Captain.=^= Kolar tilted his head at the security chief. “You heard the man Mr. Ch’zaolrirh. I’d have them beam you to the hub and investigate from there, but thats the beauty of being in charge, you can completely ignore that piece of advise and do something else. ”

Kolar

OOC: Probably can skip the beam up and you can report to the Bridge with all that implied instead of RP’d.

Sidney

OOC: Sorry, I have been lone for three days....should I post here?

OOC: Yes you have two more security drones coming your way.

Sidney

OOC: I believe all the drones were disabled when Kolar shut down the system. Currently Rick has ordered the pilots to land and assist the away team on foot. Currently the away team consists of Ch’zaolrirh and NE Callahan, an ever belligerent security officer. We have identified some kind of hub 40KM beneath the tunnel we are in, but it is likely that the tunnels extend past that.

IC:

Ch’zaolrih gave Kolar a nod, “Understood Commander.” As the Andorian waited for the pilots to land, he sent a report to the bridge. Perhaps more information was needed before they took the excursion any deeper into the planet.

=^= Ch’zaolrirh to Olinski. The remaining members of away team one intend to proceed to the hub 40km below our current location. Do we have any working ATVs aboard the Olinski at present? If so, requesting one on-site. =^=

COS Ch’zaolrirh

Already off site, Kolar had to communicate back to the away team, “Scans suggest that the corridors lead to below ground geo-thermal power conversion equipment. So the trip itself might be moot since the machinery has already been deactivated.” He paused as he looked at the heat gradient, “Plus its seveal degrees over the temperture Federation ships are set at, which is already several degrees warmer than Andoria,=^= another pause =^=I don’t think you’d find it enjoyable Mr. Ch’zaolrirh.=^=

OOC: Banner, Papa Bear, and Apex are with this team, so 5 people altogether.

Papa Bear spoke up again. “Is there somethink from keeping us beamigk to hub? Or, like saying before, make big boomski hole in wall and fly birds to hub. Can be no more difficult than flying through Каньон Нищего (Kanyo Neeshevah) back home in Siberia.”

Papa Bear (pilot)

kolar

Ch’zaolrirh rubbed his chin for a minute. Turning to the Russian he spoke aloud, “It looks like we don’t need to make the trip at all.” The COS tapped his badge

=^= Understood Mr. Kolar. =^=

The Andorian turned back to the pilots, “Let’s have a look around here then.” With that the COS began walking towards the nearest security drone. Pulling out his tricorder, he started to scan the now lifeless husk hoping that its material composition or overall design would match up with something in Starfleet’s databases.

As he did, he nodded his head towards the six charging stations they had come across earlier, “Somebody get to checking out those docking ports up ahead. I’m specifically interested in the materials used to build this equipment.”

COS Ch’zaolrirh

“Banner. You and me.” Ael moved towards the docking stations, phaser in hand, just in case.

-Lt(j.g.) Ael Khev, Apex

It was evident from the tricorder scans that the structure had used replicator technology. However, raw materials seemed to have come from the planet itself. Yet the programming for the drones did not include transport technology. It was as if the technology could not handle the replicating of bio-organic matter.

GM

The Andorian noted the readings. Was the technology really native to the planet? If so, who was really behind everything… it couldn’t be those natives on the surface.

COS Ch’zaolrirh

“Someone not from the surface has been living down here. Probably for a while.” Ael looked around. Walking back to Ch’zaolrirh, he said “What if this isn’t native, but it isn’t new? Somebody found a nice place to settle down a while ago and we’re just finding it now.”

-Lt(j.g.) Ael Khev, Apex

Papa Bear tugged at his chin. “Or maybe, I am thinkink, natives are ancestors of people that built complex, da?”

Papa Bear (pilot)

The COS nodded, “perhaps we can try to see how long its been since the equipment was originally repli…”

They heard a small sound behind them near the entrance to the tunnel. They saw a child looking at the tunnels with wide eyes.

GM

Upon hearing the sound, Ael pivoted phaser up. He quickly lowered his weapon. “Hold fire.” He put the phaser in its holster and approached, trying to look as unimposing as a Romulan his size could. “Hey. How did you get down here?” Ael kneeled down to come as close to eye level with the child as he could. “I’m Ael. What’s your name?”

-Lt(j.g.) Ael Khev, Apex

He looked like he was about nine. “I heard loud sounds coming from the ground. I just followed it. Then I saw fire and light and more sounds … Then it went quiet. I was curious. I waited for a whole while. I thought it was safe to come down to see …” Then as if he remembered something, he said. “Oh! my name is Toki.”

GM

Ch’zaolrirh slowly walked over and gestured for Papa Bear to do the same. He didn’t know much about Ael, but felt that the Russian might be the least imposing of the alien trio. As Ael began speaking to the child, he wondered if the boy was surprised at the sight of the tunnel itself or just the star-fleet officers within.

COS Ch’zaolrirh

Ael heard the others coming. “Ok Toki. Do you know anything about this tunnel? Ever been down here before?” He wanted to keep the focus on Toki for now, if they said the wrong thing, he might not trust them anymore.

-Lt(j.g.) Ael Khev, Apex
