=^=Captain Parker to Harn. Please update your situation. Were at a crossroads here and we need to know what this ship plays in this all and if it can help.=^=

Parker CO

=^= Hold on Gould, I’m getting another call,=^= Jason informed him. =^= Call you back. Harn out.=^= He pressed a button on his armrest. =^=Harn to Parker,=^= Jason hailed his commanding officer. =^=Captain, Mister Gould reports that the ship is Iconian! I’m no expert in ancient civilizations, but if memory serves it just might have the technology to have caused all this. My away team has computer access now. Should they power the ship up?=^=

Jason Harn, XO

=^=Standby by Commander.=^=

Parker CO

After a minute passed.

=^=Go ahead and fire it up as safely as possible.=^=

Parker CO

=^=Aye-aye sir. Message received. Harn out,=^= the first officer acknowledged. He let out a long sigh and looked down, placing the knuckles of his fist against his forehead in a way reminiscent of Rodan’s famous statue, ‘The Thinker’. He wasn’t much of an astro-archeologist, but he knew enough about the Iconians to know that even their ruins could be hazardous to visiting starships. The fate of the USS Yamato told that much. Finally placed both arms against his armrests and sat up straight. “Contact our landing party Koizumi,” he sighed.

“Aye-aye sir, connecting them to you now,” the young ensign replied.

=^=Dragoon to away team, permission to restore power to the Iconian ship has been granted, I repeat, permission to power up the Iconian ship has been granted. I just hope you know what you’re doing down there.=^=

Jason Harn, XO, glad that they have a spare starship in orbit

=/\=Gould to Harn, it’s a colony ship. God help us. It probably shut down when all the Iconians were off the ship.=/\=

-Lt Michael Gould, CE

That changed everything. Well not everything, but the implications were that it changed a lot. Jason paused in order to reflect on the ramifications of this new piece of news. =^=A colony ship?=^= he finally queried. +^=Do you have access to any DNA records? We can compare them to medical readings the landing party took of the ‘natives’.=^=

Jason Harn, XO

=/\=Gould to Harn. You’re about to receive a crew manifest. It still needs translating, but there are only two of us and so many consoles down here, and I still need to get this bird running.=/\=

=^=Understood,=^= Jason replied. =^=Harn out.=^=

A few moments later, files came through.

-Lt Michael Gould, CE

“Files are coming through sir,” Ensign Koizumi reported.

“Very good,” Jason nodded before turning to the Dragoon officer manning the . “Mister Reynolds, do you have a computer scientist aboard? Or an astro-archeologist specializing in the Iconian civilization? We’re going to need to translate those files before asking your medical officers to make DNA comparisons.”

Jason Harn, XO, who has forgotten the name of the Vulcan CMO of the Dragoon.
