The various consoles situated at what seemed like nodes of the conduit network began to light up.

Michael laughed a little. He couldn’t help it. It had actually worked. =/\=Gould to Dragoon and Olinski. She’s alive.=/\= You may promote me now. he added in his mind. Seeing a flash of Toro’s flashlight, he called “You don’t need that anymore. We have power.”

=/\=Gould to Dragoon and Olinski. She’s alive.=/\=

Lt Michael Gould, CE

=/=Clear Gould. Handle with caution. Were just looking for information. Not flying her.=/=

=^=Congratulations Mister Gould,=^= Jason’s voice added in a tone that indicated that he meant it. =^=When you’re able to, transfer the information up to the Dragoon and let Mister Balfor take a look at it.=^=

Ok. Talk to me. Michael checked to see if the ship had a universal translator now that the computer was truly up and running.

-Lt Michael Gould, CE

As he looked through the computer files, he discovered that there was a wealth of information. The ship had crashed down about 200,000 years before. There were only about 100 years of logs on the ship. The ship had left the Iconian system and travelled across space, exploring about before settling on this planet. It had stayed in orbit for about two years based on the navigational logs before entering into the ocean and attaching the ship to the seabed. Based on the engine logs, the engineers were able to extract energy from the magma of this planet for energy needs.

The translation of all the logs would take some time but Gould located the Captain’s and the Medical logs. Taking from random times, he was able to discover that the Iconian ship was trying to escape the destruction of the Iconian civilisation. They had settled here because they were relatively certain that the Iconian gates did not lead to this planet. Then some time (about 40 years) before the logs stopped, the Iconians discovered that they had been infected by a virus that had rendered 40% of their crew sterile. It was a endemic virus found on the planet. Even with gene therapy, they realised that they might not be able to colonise the planet in the normal way. Despite their efforts, the Iconian race was going to go extinct. That was when it was decided to embark on the genetic intrusion plan, hoping that the natives would eventually continue the traditions and customs of the Iconian people.

Further details would take more time for translation.

Wow. This is…” Michael started transferring data over to the Dragoon. =/\=Computer data incoming.=/\=

=^=Acknowledged Gould,=^= Jason’s voice replied. =^=We are receiving.=^=
