From his office, Ric could hear the pilots filtering into the briefing room next door. Except for a few hiccups, the mission had gone well. His pilots had taken out the repair drones, the micro wave emitters, and their prsence in the skies kept things from getting too much out of control.

He had gone over the reports and it appeared there were indeed a few pilots besides Sehlat that had felt the effects of the microwaves, only not to the extent that she had. Still, he was going to require the others to check in with medical and the counselors to make sure they werren’t still having any ill effects either.

Looking at the clock on his desk, he saw the time was 1525 hours. The debriefing was called for 1530. He have 5 minutes for a quick power nap, provided he had no interruptions.

(OOC: The actual message is yet to come, spoilers for Oly crew.)

IC: It seemed Ric would not get nap time today. Ael knocked on the doorframe to his office. “Sir? Do you have a moment? It’s kind of… um… my sister’s alive. I got the call right after we got back onboard.”

-Lt(j.g.) Ael Khev, Apex

Ric, sat up straight in his chair “What? ReallY? That’s great news, Ael, but,” the CAG paused and came out from behind the desk and sat on one corner, “you know the Tal Shiar as good as anybody. It’s not beyond their tactics to let that information “leak” to get their hands on you, especially after having spent time in the Federation.”

“Ric, the message came from a Starfleet ship. USS Olympic. She and a bunch of other refugees crossed the border and were intercepted. Signal came clean subspace encrypted message. And Lena seemed calm. She confirmed that everyone else is… gone. But there’s one more Khev than I thought.”

-Lt(j.g.) Ael Khev, Apex

Xandra came down the hall and saw Apex at Ric’s door so she moved towards the other pilots and flight crew present for the briefing. She day near the back, but only a few chairs away so as not to be obvious in her solitary seat. This mission has rattled her more than she wanted to admit. Losing control and yet being semi aware as your body did something, was more than unnerving.

She waited for the denied to start and tried to figure out how she’d face Ric tonight.

Ric acknowledged Xandra as she slid into her seat, then turned his attention back to the Romulan. “That’s great news, Ael I’m happy for you, and I’m happy to grant you a leave whenever your ready to take one and go see her. This thing with the Iconians is just about wrapped up, but I want to go through this debrief before I cut you loose. There are a few things that need to be taken care of first.”
